Because he was doing something wrong instead of typing "copy *.* .." You should type "copy .." Because there's no file saved as "*.*"

When I type in regback….copy star dot star dot dot…it says the system cannot find the file specified
Thanks man it really helped...took me about 2 hours looking through the boot files on hdd with my other pc and could not find it.....was just about to give up and throw in instalation cd to install new windows....and then came accross your vid.....saved me good 10hrs of work. and about 3 days of recovering 5tb drive

I hade created md backup so now when i was retiring the same method its saying there is already md backup , override it (yes no all) and i am confused, and then i found your video and i have been saved by your video. There is a data error ( cyclic redundancy check)
But all files are copied
After that copy *.* ..
It says that system cannot find the file

when i write "copy *.* backup" is says that there is an error in data (CRC). the amount of copied files is 9. after that when i type in "copy *.* .." is says that it couldn't copy the said file, copied files: 0

I did the command prompt thing, and after that the blue crash screen stopped showing up but it's still taking me to the advanced options screen. Is there a fix for this?

This is my story where my bad config info loop started.
my laptop was bad for gaming my friend told me to go to msconfig advanced options then change the number of procerssors to the max and put my maximum memory on "4096" after i put it in the loop started and my friend blocked me so i can't call him.Please help is there anyway to undo what i've done even the loops are happening?

It's still going back to the diagnosing loop even after I do the command prompt stuff. Is there any other way to get my files?

When I do the back up part it copy’s 4,385 files instead of the 10 or 11. Anyone know why?

What happens if it won't bring up the automatic repair screen. It just keeps restarting/ Repeating the same cycle. I have let it run for an hour straight ones just the same cycle.

Make sure you spelled it correct and directory is correct (C drive vs D drive, ect.)

'regback' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Check your spelling and are you using media creation tool?

I use third method - blue screen appear as well, so it's not working.
Did you try any restore points?
There's 2 types of that troubleshooting dialog. DOS version is black with white text. Windows is the blue one.And it's actually a image.
will my files and Programs be gone?
