Thanks man it really helped...took me about 2 hours looking through the boot files on hdd with my other pc and could not find it.....was just about to give up and throw in instalation cd to install new windows....and then came accross your vid.....saved me good 10hrs of work. and about 3 days of recovering 5tb drive

Because he was doing something wrong instead of typing "copy *.* .." You should type "copy .." Because there's no file saved as "*.*"

I did the command prompt thing, and after that the blue crash screen stopped showing up but it's still taking me to the advanced options screen. Is there a fix for this?
It's still going back to the diagnosing loop even after I do the command prompt stuff. Is there any other way to get my files?

So in my regback directory it’s showing “0 File(s) 2 Dir(s)” so I can’t copy those files. What am I doing wrong?

2nd option worked for me. So what causes this problem?
This is my story where my bad config info loop started.
my laptop was bad for gaming my friend told me to go to msconfig advanced options then change the number of procerssors to the max and put my maximum memory on "4096" after i put it in the loop started and my friend blocked me so i can't call him.Please help is there anyway to undo what i've done even the loops are happening?

when i write "copy *.* backup" is says that there is an error in data (CRC). the amount of copied files is 9. after that when i type in "copy *.* .." is says that it couldn't copy the said file, copied files: 0

Mine on the regback copy is overwriting BBI folder, but yours is overwriting the .. DEFAULT how do I make that happen?

But all files are copied
After that copy *.* ..
It says that system cannot find the file

Thanks a lot you've saved me. I just corrupted my window in noon and in the evening i got it back it by your video. Earlier from some other you tuber video 1 year ago I got it back by this same method. I hade created md backup so now when i was retiring the same method its saying there is already md backup , override it (yes no all) and i am confused, and then i found your video and i have been saved by your video. Tnx man! The Command Prompt trick worked! Tho is it normal for my keyboard to not work at all? I was able to login using on screen keyboard but thw key board still wont work. The audio also isny working but got auto fixed immediately... Is my pc safe to use now? or should I reinstall windows immediately?
