Julia’s sheer determination to not be derailed from getting that one joke out despite Jacob anticipating the punchline and making her laugh is my favorite part of this whole banger of an episode.
For years she's honed her anti-joke skills in Secret Sleepover intros & now she's bringing them to bear (heh bear) in Drawfee; we all (except Jacob) benefit!

The paradox though is that Nathan's silence is doing so much comedic heavy lifting, it somehow functions as the comedic 'straight man' in a way that is different from actual absence. I guess what I'm saying is, you have to listen to the jokes they're not saying lol

What's really getting me is that there is never really an awkward third wheel vibe alongside Jacob and Julia, but somehow Julia and her very own Merobiba turned Jacob and Nathan into awkward third and fourth wheels so damn quick.

My favorite thing about the Merobiba bit is that it's so formulaic, I can always hastily swallow whatever I'm drinking and thus avoid choking while laughing. Jury's still out on how the same punchline keeps making me laugh so hard, I think it might just be Julia's infectious delight.

My mom doesnt get Julias humor like I do but she still smiled all the way through the episode cause she likes Julias personality and finds her happiness and laughter infectious, "wish a lot of people were like this too, she finds joy with her own jokes and facets regardless what anyone thinks" and I just thought thats wonderful

I love the idea of a sitcom so lazy that the main character's catchphrase is literally just them stating their name. Like, instead of Urkle asking "Did I do that?" he just goes "I'm Urkle!" and the laughtrack plays, or instead of Jon yelling "Garfield!" whenever Garfield does something wrong, he just stands quietly while Garfield shrugs and goes "Hey, I'm Garfield, what did you expect?"
