This chair is ahhhmazing, effective, and quality made. As someone who is naturally tall, sitting in a regular wheelchair was demoralizing for me personally. I quickly got tired of being eye level with most back/front sides, butt cracks and crotches. Also, it was disappointing and exasperating to depend on others to reach for items placed on high shelves in stores. My Wheelscalade (Quantum Chair) is primo. There's a sense of increased independence and being eye level with people and general audiences (during my public speaking presentations) has made my life easier and a total game changer! Now, I believe my Wheelscalade is a different version of the Quantum Chair shown but it's part of the Quantum family. In addition to the reclining & tilt back feature which is important to help me increase circulation, my Quantum has a feature to increase the height of the chair. The Quantum is a well made high quality chair and worth the financial investment. #disABLED

To be honest, it would be really expensive to add a function on the chair and probably cheaper or just as much to purchase one that has the functions that you are looking for.

So the only way you can tilt the unit is if you have the tilt function. Some chairs have certain seat functions while others do not so if you cant tilt the seat back, more than likely you don't have the tilt function on that chair. If you did, you would be able to navigate through the menu of seat functions and be able to tilt the seat back.
