I know nothing about metallurgy but this is how I feel about each metal after watching your channel for close to a year now:
Copper- Class melt, the red is a really nice color, it often comes out of recoveries quite and is and the process of taking it out of wires seems satisfying
Aluminum- silver is a nice color, and it seems quite easy to melt, the slag at the end always seems to have a lot of extra aluminum so I like the fact that you take care to not waste anything.
Brass- definitely least favorite, I can understand why someone might like gold but it often looks like sulfur when smelted and seems like the dirtiest of the metals to melt. Still great though

    Likes and observations:
I like the blend of casting and sand moulds in one vid. However, not opposed to a full sand mould vid, esp if it’s something functional you’ll use in the shop.
I like the smaller to medium coins and objects.
Your benches look wobbly. I suggest some diagonal bracing for the legs for rigidity and maybe anchor the back to the wall. Just a suggestion.
I’d like to see a kiln relining and then casting vid. I know you have a big kiln coming, but I’d still watch it.
Fan Mail. Yes. Maybe not everything, but def the good stuff. Maybe hi light some viewers creations. Also, maybe an open and melt, or an open and use vid. I know it’d make the vids longer but I’d still watch for sure.
Sand casting for objects you’ll use in the shop. Knobs, handles, small hammer or small tools or specialized objects for your needs.
Thanks for all your great content. Been a fan for years.

Loved todays episode.. Since you have a wood burner (stove/fireplace) you could pre-melt stuff.. Like put the copper in it to burn off the paint & resin.. It would work for other metals too.. I used to do lots of scrapping and always melted my metals to ingots, (Pays more money) I had a huge wood burner in my garage.. It actually was a small Incinerator, yet they are large compared to a normal wood burner.. Worked great for me for 20+ years.. Never had large amounts of slag, pre-burning them..

The new place is cool, I like the motor melts because you get a copper and aluminum melts in one. 🤘🏾🖤👍🏾🖤

Aluminium is my favourite metal to watch melt. Then copper! This video was a treat.

Love that copper bar. Looks very cool. I prefer sand casting, but I guess it's a lot more work. Unboxing mixed in would be nice.

I like watching you melt any metals but new or rare metals that you don't usually melt are always exciting to watch, plus taking apart old motors and separating the metal is always good to watch too. Actually everything you do is great to watch.

In terms of favorite type of metal being seen melted, probably copper. Its very satisfying seeing it go from whatever wiring it was used in, to being molded into bright shiny brown ingots. Doesn't seem too terrible to work with, either. For least favorite, definitely aluminum. Seems like a pain in the ass to work with, and there always seems to be loads of slag during the whole process, so messy on top of that, too...
For the question about the fan mail opening, I think it could be fun for sure to see what all comes in! Maybe designate it to Saturday or Sunday if you end up deciding on making videos on it. I know I would tune in, for sure

Great video! I really love your new place. You are going to grow into it well. For Sand, casting you really need to obsess over your molds. Parting lines, sprue, cope and drag etc. just like Windy Hill foundry does.
