Hi Elizabeth, Your video notifications are like sunshine on a rainy day each week! You truly are my favorite youtuber! Not only are the recipes unique, healthy, wholesome, and family friendly, you also inspire me to slow down in the kitchen and savor the art of cooking and feeding the family. It's so easy to feel rushed and look at it as another chore but you have helped me appreciate and enjoy my efforts in the kitchen.
I am going to be making a big batch of Brunswick stew soon for the freezer for winter. It’s a favorite in our house and a comfort food for me. My parents use to get together once a year with friends from our Church and spend the whole day and a night slow smoking the meats (In Georgia we slow smoke a whole chicken and pork butt until falling off the bone and that’s what we use for our Brunswick stew). The next day we would invite a bunch of families from our Church over and all feast on Brunswick stew and cornbread.
Dear Elizabeth (that sounds a bit formal🤣🤣) I am truly grateful for you and your content. You make eating healthy sound and look fun. Thank you for your consistency and for not gatekeeping the healthy recipes. i have been a subbie a year now and i love it here. Sending my love from South Africa
Love it😂. Thank you so much!! You have no idea how much I take that to heart. Thank you for so loyally following along. I’m really glad it’s helpful to you! 💛
I was looking for a good recipe for my husband for lunch as a snack after his sandwich and I’m gonna try those bars that you made. They look yummy and healthy.
Those bars look so yummy. I used to be in the habit of making grab and go homemade snacks like those and this has inspired me to do it again. It is nice to know that a quick fuel up, is healthy and mindful. Happy Autumn! 🍁🍂
Your videos always inspire me. Before my surgery I used many of your soup recipes to meal prep and freeze delicious foods for my family! I love that use everyday Ingredients and no hard to find, over priced ingredients! Question, can I have a link to the little lamp on your counter😍
My first experience with Brunswick Stew was in NC. It was sold in the grocery store in cans like soup. It was pretty good, but I am sure it would so much more delicious being homemade.
I literally stopped and made those bars immediately hahaha at 930 at night lol 😅 I added shredded coconut and free dried strawberries instead of the cranberries tho cuz my kids don't like them.
Do you have a written recipe for the vinegar based barbecue sauce? My grandmother in Virginia used to make Brunswick stew when I was growing up and it was always a favorite. I’d love to try your version combining the the soup with the vinegar based sauce….. another favorite taste from that part of the world!
That’s wonderful! I love hearing that. For the barbecue I used: 2 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp brown sugar or coconut sugar, 1 tsp pepper, 3/4 tsp sea salt
I am imagining all the wonderful smells! Thanks for sharing these recipes!

Some apple bread/cakes are bland, but this one looks more flavorful. The bars look devine.

@ 🤣🤣thank you!
Thank you so much for your consistency and inspiration! Do you have any healthier cookie recipes for the fall/holiday season?
You are so welcome. Thank you for watching, seriously!! Not yet, but let’s just say I will soon🤭
Do you prefer this slow cooker to the Instant Pot? This recipe looks so delicious
Elizabeth what is the white liquid you pour into the bread batter? I do not see any milk or liquid listed in the recipe. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of Brunswick Stew! I’m excited to try it.

It's definitely a favorite around here! ☺️
I bet this is so much fresher tasting😋 I didn’t know it came that way actually!

I noticed you cutting raw meat on your cutting board, is it a wood one? Maybe you can share how you maintain your boards and wood utensils. TIA 😊
Original Brunswick stew was made with squirrel.
No way! I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing😊
