- Platformers come and go; platforming franchises are a long-term dream of sequels and follow-ups. However, the indies remain, and as Braid Anniversary Edition showcases, they're still as relevant as ever.
Packed with gorgeous, updated visuals, animation improvements, and revamped music, this is essentially a 1:1 re-release of Number None's 2008 classic. As Tim, you traipse multiple worlds to find and rescue the Princess from a horrible monster... or so it seems. Time bends to your will when it's not falling out of place, and it slowly becomes apparent that things aren't what they seem.
That makes for an incredible experience with ingenious mechanics and puzzle-solving, but there's more. There are hours of developer commentary, presented through new levels, and a deep dive into the game's inspiration, mechanics, challenges and more. Whether you're a new or old player, Braid is essential and the Anniversary Edition even more.
16 years since soljaboy convinced me to buy this!
The goat
This game was lifechanging. One of the best games of all time
what about it was life changing?
Amazing game, defo on the buy list
3:23 It's interesting how and why the devs decided to try and put new players off, the ones who didn't like the idea of Mario clones. Would stop playing surely. But in glad this niche game found success. It looks interesting 😊
Could you plz sort your playlist(video features) "newest first"
Best game of all time. Let alone the soundtrack.
Did you seriously show the finale section?
Yeah would hate to blow the secret of the ending on a game that came out 16 years ago.
@@aelinstue9431 Yes, we would. It was the whole point of the game. It's not "just" a puzzler, the twist at the ending brings everything you've done at that point in new light.
It didn't show any of the twist - just an out of context clip someone who hasn't played won't understand
The original, had to look up guides, recently played it a couple weeks ago after buying it on steam sale. It would have been a lot more fun if it gave you at least a clue for the mechanic in the level. I am good at chess and problem solving but about two of them i thought were impossible without outside help. Passing on this, stresses me out too much.
and you didn't even get the stars!
I'm dumb as hell and I did it with no guide
Then, you are not as smart as you thought you were.

Braid makes me look dumb honestly, but I guess that's why the game is well praised for it's puzzles, you need a literal high iq to solve any puzzles of this game.
😨 🗣️ *WHAT IS IT... THE BRAID* ⁉️
I'm sure you can figure it out.

1ST!!!
i'll pass on dat!
Does it runs on Linux and does it support ultrawide?
The first one was the first Linux game I ever bought.
Great game, too bad the person playing it in the video looks like they skipped the intro and refuse to understand the basics of the game.
I think it's really nice to show clips that don't show puzzle solutions. Didn't look like that to me at all, but it's possible.
Espectacular. Le echamos un vistazo a Braid Anniversary Edition en el canal de Ciudadanos de Gotham y nos encantó. Ojalá sigan haciendo más remasterizaciones así
