  • This week we are going to slow stitch a signature for your textile art. This is all about owning your art and giving yourself permission to sign your name.
As there are 5 Sundays this September, just like in June, we are going to take the opportunity to fix an accidental mistake that I have made along the way.
Today I'll show you how create a half-panel to sign and date your work. We'll review our project so far and learn some slow-stitch basics as we create our piece.
If you like what you see and want to catch all the videos in this series, you can subscribe to this channel, and if you click the notifications bell, you will never miss an upload.
Join me at 2.30pm GMT every Sunday for a restful time of slow stitch, embroidery and textile art. Each month we are going to create a complete piece of art that we will create bit by bit each week.
Feel free to follow my design, use my piece as inspiration, or you could use the same techniques as me to create something totally original.
I hope to try lots of new things this year as I create my 2024 stitched journal. I hope you will come along for the ride!
Please tag me when you post your creations on social media. @featherstitchhouse and use #fshwingingit24 so that I can see your beautiful work.

Absolutely stunning and I love the way you did the lettering using tracing paper, it’s brilliant ❤

Absolutely gorgeous, personal and special. Love the troubleshooting result with the signing trick. I used that same idea on acrylic painting with tissue paper with focal point. MO, USA
