    I love the Protek series. I got myself a P25 because I want to fly in small spaces, but I agree with you with the fact that naked GoPro are a bit cumbersome. Anyway, either the P25 or the P35 are great drones to have in your arsenal, you can't go wrong with them

    Thanks, Matt. I love your youthful enthusiasm. You're a good salesman as well. Think I'll be getting The Protek 35 instead of the Bumblebee. I fly every day and it's always windy. Usually very windy. The ProTek does better in the wind. In fact. I heard cinewhoops because of their ducts are terrible in the wind. And referring to the closing scene. keep practicing. You may have to change out your car drivers. But, one day you'll master it. See you on the other side. :)

  • @MatthewBallinger
    @MatthewBallinger 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've been flying a Holybro Kopis Mini for 6 months now with a GoPro 9 or Max on top. It's heavy for sure. That power cable would help. My biggest complaint is the durability of the ducts. I've used stock, and designed and printed various styles, but none hold up to big crashes. I realize it's asking a lot, but it would be nice to have to worry less about them.

    Great video! I've just finished binge-watching all your videos (again) in preparation of taking my first leap into FPV. Considering the Nazgul V2 and the ProTek35 are almost identically priced, which would you go for as a first FPV drone?
    I understand that they are intended for different types of flying and to have both would be fantastic, but for now I'm keen for one drone with an entry level setup.

    I fully agree about flying indoors. This quad is too "fast" to fly in small spaces and turbulences caused by props underneath it make it no easier. What flight time did you get with 1300 mAh battery?

  • @ColinZenger

    I did buy the Protek25 recently and instantly killed the Vista Unit by updating it (overheated according to Caddx).
    Had to wait a few weeks for a replacement (which costs 40 USD since overheating is excludet in the warranty) and now had to troubleshoot some seetings and ESC Firmwares (the Protek25 has some issues with burning ESCs that need some fixing by the user which is a hassle even though iFlight is providing info on that in their Support).
    Finally I have it ready to fly but it is so horribly loud that I don't want to fly indoors and annoy all my neighbours (it is way louder than the loudes vacuum that I ever owned) haha.
    Now I wait for better weather and then your car Shot is #1 on my List.
    Thanks for the great review the Protek35 might be the best cinewhoop for a full sized gopro in the future!

    That's another of my favourite FPV TH-camrs saying this is a great quad. Thanks for the video. I'm a big fan of iFlight's products (I have the Nazgul5 v2 analogue), but I am looking to get a cinewhoop this year for a project I have in mind (chasing BMX riders along a BMX race track; can't do that with the Nazgul5 safely!). I had in mind to get the Bumblebee v2 (or now v3), but this is looking more like something that would suit me. Quick question: iFlight are about to release a 6s version of the Protek35; which would be better, do you think? That's a comparison I'd like to see

    Question: I have a cetus pro and I am getting okay with it. Would a cinewhoop like the one you have here be a good next drone for me?
    I'm not interested in stunts, racing or high flying, at least not at this point. I mostly like to fly in smooth routes around the house. I doubt seriously I would ever be interested in commercial use. But I do like full control and not the GPS stuff from DJI.

  • @cooperlane7147
    @cooperlane7147 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm looking at this because iFlight claims that it can lift more than a full size GoPro, and I want to put my phone on it instead so I can get better quality without spending many hundreds on GoPros.
    My phone weights about 230g and if the mounting hardware also weights a bit more than a standard HERO mount, I'm guessing the AUW would be about 100g heavier than with a full size GoPro. Do you have any thoughts on how well that would work? What would you recommend for a cinewhoop that can lift more weight?

    I just got a protek35 analogue as my first ever pre-built new quad and it's ok, but nowhere near as smooth as most of my home-built 5" quads. I think it has potential but really disappointed with it jittery performance for what I'd hoped would be a more cinematic quad. Mine carries a gopro session 5 and wondered if I would need to re-tune to carry it smoothly?

      You got the 4s or 6s ? I have the 6s version that I fly with a 4s pack and it’s butter smooth

    Just ordered the digital version of the Drone to fly with DJI any suggestions on the new settings that you are going to use?

    This is great! Been juggling lately to buy a tycan cinewhoop or a 95 with naked gopro. But Im skeptical about stripping a gopro and tycan is too bulky.
    Ang brother, you always have the best cinematography and color grading. How do you do that color grade? 😍

    Why does his protek hav 2 attennas in the back, when on Iflights website, it only shows 1 attena?

    Dope video! Can anyone just please confirm that DJI FPV Goggles can be used for both Analog and Digital? If so, what kind of modifications drone-wise are necessary for this to be feasible? Thanks!

    BumbleBee V3 seemed to be perfect solution to get started. Especially for indoor flights. But in the meantime, I saw many Protek 35 reviews and now I'm not sure about BB V3. Maybe I should order Protek 35...

    How loud is this compared to the Taycan?? Because I’ve only flown a Diatone Taycan and it is sooooo annoyingly loud. I know all cinewhoops are loud but is this considerably more quiet?

    Matt first off great video! 2nd I'm new and have just been learning on tiny whoops.. I'm wondering do you fly in level mode for these shots or full acro? Thanks (I have a hell of a time with the tinywhoop in acro indoors)

    • @danieledm0101
      @danieledm0101 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t use acro mode indoor, it’s used to fly outside in open spaces, inside home is better to use level mode or you will constantly crashing. I actually find is easier to fly in acro in open spaces than level mode
