Thanks for another great video. I'm finding that random Hebrew phrases are popping up in my head during the day, which always happens when I'm learning living languages, but only rarely with Greek or Hebrew. I take it as a good sign that internalization is happening! Just curious - where did you find the video clips of Solomon, Laban & his daughters, and the rest?

When you ask "Mah zo't?" then it's "what is this?" but when you use zo't to modify a noun, like "ha-ishah ha-zo't," then it means "this woman," or literally "the-woman the-this"

The "construct form" of father is avi, a bit irregular, but it's probably a lingering holdover from an older pattern of construct forms. The vowel under the aleph is actually different for the two forms "my father" and "father of..." More info in our grammar lessons at freehebrew.online/resources
