    My 2009 GTCS made 407 to the wheels with all NA after it got fixed from throwing a rod. I had a five angle valve job done and porting done by hand by Mike Bell in Dayton. It had the FR Hotrod cams, Ford Racing intake kooks headers and borla exhaust, etc. it was a fun car.

    Thanks Brent! Always love the educational pieces you do. Man, I want a built 3v engine so bad with my Saleen Super charger. I have an 09' Racecraft 420s after all the mods u guys did...it is sick! 487rwhp & 455rwtq I love it but want more😂Adding your b302 would be awesome! It will happen at some point! Thanks Brenspeed

    Hey Brent, If im understanding correctly this is your B302 on 9.5:1 compression, using the old FRPP Stage 3 heads, detroit rockers, FRPP 62mm TB, FRPP Intake Manifold and JLT Series 3, right? Seems as if it was an 11:1 motor it would be right around 400HP with the bump in compression. This is on 93?

      Yes 93 and yes if it were say 11 compression or a bit higher I could see around 400 happening.

    Man that’s funny. I literally just finish looking at the power up pack for my Supercharged 3V.

    Im interested in the 302 block but will I need to do anything to the heads, cam, etc? Plan on putting a SC in the future.
    *I have a 3v

      Porting of the heads or aftermarket cams is purely a choice. The short block does not require that.

    Im pretty confident you could squeeze 420 RWHP NA with these engines if you had this setup with more compression and custom cams. Maybe even just COMP 127600’s, lighter flywheel, rev to 7,000, 10.8:1 compression.

      I would like to see one 12.0 compression like a Gen 3 coyote. That would be sweet.

    I've noticed the FRPP 5.3L and B326 have been missing the past couple years. I really wanted one to pair with a big twin screw SC. In a PD blower setup, can the 302 aluminium withstand/make the same power as a iron 326 block? (higher boost needed of course)

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can support a lot with the aluminum block and upgraded internal parts. I mean if you are just wanting to do 1000 rwhp iron is of course better for that but the aluminum is fine for most builds turning up boost and most people are not trying to make 1000 to the tires. .

    What would stock compression or heads do? 20 more SAE horsepower?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say ported heads are good for that 20 if you have cams big enough to take advantage of them.

    What's your opinion on header size ? Most 3v seem to have 1 5/8 headers even with boost. Is the bigger size beneficial?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We typically use 1 5/8" on most stock engine cars. Once you go built engine or large heads and big cams 1 3/4" is better. If you have plans for that some day you could do the 1 3/4" now with very little downside vs. having to buy headers twice. 1 5/8" are plenty for most people.

    Do the 2 valves heads bolt to that short block?

    So ya'll are offering a 302 short block now? Nevermind, didn't get to the end.😪

    How much hp can an automatic 3V transmission handle?

    • @BrenspeedEngineering
      @BrenspeedEngineering  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 5R55 is not a great trans. It can handle boost but the biggest issue is kick downs. It does not seem to mind hard launches and upshifts but cruising in 5th doing a boosted kick down into say 2nd or 3rd it hits hard and you could break it at big power. If you simply manually downshift it into the gear then go WOT typically no issues.

      @@BrenspeedEngineering That is where the issue is, I was looking into upgrading my trans, aside from going auto to stick. Where would I begin?
