I didn't know that the model was actually loaded for this little event. On all the playthroughs I've seen where people looked into the room before the animation finished, the shadow just vanished, but I also vaguely remember the times where for some reason it didn't, and there was nothing casting it - no Axel himself. I guess this is caused by the debug checkpoint mod.
Good question, therefor i have just checked that out by using a normal save and free cam for good measure. Taataa, he got spawned after using the generator and his animation is responsible for the moving shadow there. Also he is shown as active NPC before but invisible to that point, no debug checkpoint used so far :) I assume they used his model especially for creating these shadows.
Another little mystery solved! I never actually thought that it was the Alien making the noise - because surely it would just saunter out the shop and kill you 😁. Nice to know it was Axel. As always - great stuff and keep em coming 🙂
What’s cool is you can actually hear the sliding hatch in the center of the room close just as you enter that room.
