Ron’s big flaw is his insecurity which you could see in full effect here lol Doesn’t help when he’s the youngest of his 6 brothers and they’re all popular too
Sorry to say that Harry has Not moved in with the Weasleys. In Goblet of Fire book, the Weasleys got permission from the Durselys to let Harry stay with them for a few days so that Harry could go with them to the Quidditch World Cup.
@@justUzzy Harry staying with the Dursleys give us some awesome reading, if you'll try the book 😄 On the whole, though, this book is like a proper crime novel with some teen hormones in, while the movie is marinated in teen hormones, and "spiced up" with a couple of murders.
The old Man is the care taker of the Riddle Mansion. His name was Frank Brice. He was accused of the murders of the elder Riddles and Tom Riddle Sr( Voldemorts father)
The dance scene was probably my favourite Maggie Smith scene of the whole series. Shame we just lost her. This is definitely the one where it starts getting real and it's just getting started, hope you're ready!
In the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore explained to Harry that Priori Incantatem is what happened when their two wands with matching wand core connected. If you recall from the very first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or Philosopher's Stone, when Harry got his wand Mr. Olivander said that the phoenix feather in Harry's wand had a matching feather in another wand that came from the same exact phoenix. The person that has the other feather in his wand is Voldemort. Harry found out in the book version of Goblet of Fire that the phoenix was Dumbledore's bird, Fawks. Because Harry and Voldemort has matching wand cores it means the wands are equal in power and relation. The wands really are brothers. As Harry's wand began to slowly beat Voldemort's wand it caused the Piori Incantatem spell to happen. That means the last few spells that a wand made reveals itself. So in this case not only did the last few murders that Voldemort's wand made expose itself to everyone in the graveyard, in the book version it also showed Wormtail's new silvery hand first as well. 🪄💥⚡️🪄
The theme of this film is 'Fathers and Sons'; the film highlights the relationship between fathers and sons, whether loving or fractured. This is also the film where Ron is totally thrown off balance by his hormones making everyone around him miserable. Every insecurity he has developed and hidden even from himself comes out like psychological flatulence. Voldemort begins the film as a diminished and weak figure. The snake is a separate being named Nagini. Nagini is venomous; her bite interrupts the body's ability to clot the blood, which means the one bitten will quickly bleed to death within 20-30 minutes. The venom must be treated very quickly to stop it becoming fatal, and even so the person bitten has a long recovery period to go through to regain their health and proper bodily function. Take note of the juggler in the World Quidditch Cup campground. He's juggling a large number of fringed balls; they represent a creature that will show up later in the film: grindylows. Grindylows are a a dangerous magical creature. They are water demons that swarm around swimmers, grab them, and pull them to the waters' depths to drown the victim. The minimum age of 17 for participation in the TriWizards Tournament is because the tasks are extremely dangerous; only adults are supposed to participate (in the Wizarding World, you are an adult at age 17. The final year of school the Seventh Year, all students enter as adults. They have the right to forego their final year, but nearly all elect to complete their education.) This film gives the false impression that Beauxbaton is an all-girls school and Durmstrang is all-boys, but both are co-ed like Hogwarts. Madame Maxine, headmistress of Beauxbaton, claims to be 'big-boned', but the truth she tries to hide is that she, like Hagrid, is a half-giant. She's done very well to rise to being headmistress of one of only 11 schools of magic in the entire world, but giants and even their half-breed progeny tend to be dull and slow in intelligence. Even Hagrid struggles with spelling and keeping others' secrets. So, she denies her giant heritage. This is what later causes Hagrid to break up with her, as he takes pride in who he is. He eventually forgives her, but they are just friends, and romance does not rekindle. Note that Madame Maxine is taller than Hagrid; Hagrid takes after his unusually-short wizard father, while Madame Maxine is a normal height for a half-giant. Forcing Neville to watch the torture of that poor whip-spider is particularly cruel for Neville; the reason he lives with his grandmother is because a couple of Death Eaters used the Cruciatus Curse to torture his parents into insanity. They have been permanent residents of St Mungo's Hospital for 13 years now and, though he occasionally accompanies his grandmother to visit them, they don't have their wits enough to recognize him. Ron's upset with Harry because Ron's entered puberty. He's angry that Harry left him out of the loop (he thinks), plus Ron desperately wants fame and glory. Ron feels like the family failure when compared to his high-achieving brothers. Keep in mind that Rita Skeeter is, and continues to function as, a gossip columnist. She mines gossip, rumor, and unsubstantiated opinion and, to make a more sensationalistic story, will also make stuff up. Skeeter tries to pass herself off as a journalist, but she does apply proper journalistic ethics that require things like verifying sources and 'facts'. Do you happen to notice that Hagrid is there viewing the dragons with Harry at the same time he's viewing the dragons with Madame Maxine? But Harry and Madame Maxine are not together in the same place? Yes, Mad-Eye Moody has a fake leg and a fake eye. And scars. He's an auror and has been one for an impressively long time. Aurors fight dark wizards, so they face terrible curses, and curses do permanent damage and leave scars that never heal. The fact that he has survived for so long is incredible; it's what makes him legendary. Most aurors either get out of the game earlier or die. Cho Chang is played by Scottish actor Katie Leung, born in Dundee. Again, Ron is struggling with puberty and insecurity issues. He's clueless about how he feels about Hermione and he is ragingly jealous that Krum took Hermione to the Yule Ball. He thought he had 'rights' to her and was surprised to find she has her own mind. Reminder: Ron was the only person in the previous year (film) who was aware of Hermione not being present and then suddenly being present. He is more involved with her than he's aware of. It's possible Ron developed a way of blocking out people and his feelings because of the invasive nature of his brothers and the tight quarters he's lived in. In the water task, Fleur is freaked out by an attack from a swarm of grindylows and withdraws back to the platforms before she learns her little sister is being held underwater by the merpeople. Harry, being the natural hero that he is, saves both Ron and Fleur's sister but then is attacked by grindylows as his gillyweed wears off. He uses the same spell to fend the creatures off that Hermione used on the Cornish pixies, "Immobulus" before using "Ascendio" to fly out of the water and onto the platform. When Harry and Voldemort dueled in the Riddle graveyard, the 'twin' wands connected and Voldemort's wand performed Priori Incantatem, which manifests the echo of previous spells cast with that wand, in reverse order. So, they saw the echo of Cedric, the caretaker, and Harry's parents. They aren't ghosts, they aren't those people; they are just echos of them.

I don't care how many times I see this movie. The ritual to restore Voldemort, and seeing him rise out of the cauldron will always simultaneously send shivers racing up AND down my spine and make me nauseous. Trivia: They got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood-red eyes with a slit-like pupil. It is understandable why they didn't use creature contact lenses on Ralph Fiennes in the movie adaptations since it would eliminate the realness of Voldemort's threatening presence. The arachnid the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was a tailless whip scorpion. As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!" Backstory: Neville was traumatized by the Cruciatus Curse's usage because his parents were tortured into insanity with it.
I've heard some people say that because the story is from Harry's point of view the older he gets the less scary some things become like when he was 11/12 Filtch was scary and sinister but as he's getting older he's not seeing him the same way. Same thing with the Forbidden Forrest, it's dark and terrifying for him and the other kids when they are younger but the older they get they aren't as scared and just walk through it like it's just a regular Forrest
@@Ezra_Malfoy97 Oh, that's just fandom making things up to try have everything "make sense". 😏 If you ask me, Flitwick's whole change of character here (who, if you notice, has no scripted lines) comes simply from the director! - much like the new Flitwick was his idea, and the fierce irritated Dumbledore was per his instruction.
@MrIcelander I know that, I'm not saying it's not. It's just what I've heard, and it fits, so that's how I like to think of it. The change to Flitwick was because that was meant to be the choir conductor in the third film, not Flitwick, but all fans assumed it was Flitwick and, yes, the director liked that look better for this film so they just kept that look. Dumbledore acting that way was probably the directors idea but also Michael Gambon didn't read any of the books and wanted to do his own version of Dumbledore that wasn't a copy of what Richard Harris had done in the first 2 films. Anyway, these are minor changes when you compare them to what else the director changed for this film since he never read the books. Flitwick looking different, Filtch acting like a fool and Dumbledore not being calm are the least of my issues with this movie 😅
Ron is more than a bit clueless in some areas. To be fair though he's 14 and just realized that one of his buddies is a girl that other boys like. Also his huge inferiority complex is wreaking havoc on Ron this year.
