Funfact: There were indeed American witches and wizards attending the Quidditch World Cup. Notably, there were American witches from the Salem Witch Institute.
Harry still lives with the Dursleys. They just skipped that part in this movie. Dumbledore extended the protection Harry's mother left in his blood so that as long as he lives with a blood relative of his mother's Voldemort can't touch him there. Unfortunately Petunia is his only living blood relative other than his cousin Dudley. Hermione turned 15 right after school started. Ron will turn 15 in March but Harry won't turn 15 until summer break. Technically Hogwarts *was* safe..until Harry started school. Before that it had been 50 years since anything happened at Hogwarts. 😂
13:03 That’s Dean Thomas, while a close friend of Harry’s, he among other characters has a lot of their scenes in the books that got cut from the films.
*I don't care how many times I see this movie. The ritual to restore Voldemort, and seeing him rise out of the cauldron will always simultaneously send shivers racing up AND down my spine and make me nauseous.* *Trivia:* *They got the movie appearance of Voldemort almost identical to the book. There is one missing detail: in the book, Voldemort is described as having blood-red eyes with a slit-like pupil. It is understandable why they didn't use creature contact lenses on Ralph Fiennes in the movie adaptations since it would eliminate the realness of Voldemort's threatening presence.* *The arachnid the imposter Mad-Eye Moody was demonstrating The 3 Unforgivable Curses on was a tailless whip scorpion.* *As someone who was sorted into Hufflepuff on The Wizarding World website, Cedric Diggory's death hit hard. Especially seeing Amos run onto the quidditch pitch and hearing him shout "That's my son!! That's my boy!!"* *Backstory:* *Neville was traumatized by the Cruciatus Curse's usage because his parents were tortured into insanity with it.*
The ritual was already super unsettling with his wet, disembodied corpse figure levitating, but it's also super cool how the smoke became his robes. Love that detail.
Moody is the Wizard equivalent of a war veteran, I mean, he's seen things, things that would give even adult wizards and witches nightmares. But he was the best in his prime and he was always on the front lines during the battle against Voldemort back in the day.
The reason why Harry lives with his mean aunt and uncle is because his mother’s love protection still works so long as he’s living with a blood relative of his mother, as in his aunt and cousin until he can legally move out. Voldemort now has his blood to try and bypass it. It’s why Quirl died in the first movie.
This is the prophecy that Professor Trelawney spoke about in the previous film "A servant will meet his master again" At first we thought it was Sirius Black, but it turns out it's Peter Pettigrew(Rat) we're talking about.
Yup - Cedric is the Seeker for Hufflepuff and during the Quidditch match in the midst of the thunder storm, Gryffindor was playing against Hufflepuff (The yellow and black House colors) and Cedric was the one that got zapped with the lightning while trying to catch the snitch lol
Yeah, much as I insist Ron is the best-written of the main trio and that he got done unbelievably dirty by the movie version, this was kind of an L year for him even in the books. Edit: Also, forgot to mention one other thing. A bunch of subplots from the book got left out of the film, one of which centered around Rita Skeeter, the reporter who interviewed Harry. In the book, it turns out she’s a beetle Animagus and she’s been using it to sneak around Hogwarts and spy on people’s conversations… until Hermione catches her during the Yule Ball, traps her bug form in a jar for the entire second half of the year, and blackmails her into not writing any more articles about her. So if you were wondering when Hermione was going to start catching up to Harry and Ron in the “committing crimes” department, this is where her streak starts.
I would think it truly started in Chamber of Secrets when she goes about making the Polyjuice potion lol she had to steal quite a few things from Snape's private stores to do it!
From this movie on..put your big boy pants on..the tone completely changes, literally...gets super badass...the first few movies are slow but necessary ofcourse...the rest are 🔥 AF 👍 enjoy my guy... it'll be hard to believe its a children's story.
Without Dumbledore Harry would have been dead he is the strongest wizard there is if you remember, they said in the first movie he was the only one voldemort was ever scared of
absolute PEAK movie experience!
Bro I’m so happy that E.D.hasn’t stopped uploading Harry Potter I was scared for a second, cause this world is so magical
based off this reaction it seems like he’s hooked now lol

It was an awesome detail, that's for sure.
I see this post copy and pasted everywhere
For the age of our protagonists
1st movie -> 11 y.o
2nd -> 12 y.o
And so on, except the 7th and 8th, they're 17 in both of them.
56:57 wait til he meets dolores
Oh I can't wait for that introduction 😅😅😅

Cedric’s character was actually in the previous film during the Quidditch match but by a different actor.

This movie went from 1 to 100 real fast
Use of Harry's blood made Voldemort touch him. It also strengthen her shield as Voldemort cannot kill Harry now.
No spoilers man
