She hasn't spilled any spoilers yet and has my subscription for not ruining his reaction! Great job. It's not easy, and I really appreciate her not ruining everything. Brava!
I love watching people experience these movies for the first time they’re so good and so amazing that it just brings me joy to see someone actually experience it
I believe the last scene in movie one, was the first they shot. So that may add to Harry's formidable aging. And the Dursley's are great actors all three, aren't they? Even the kid, Harry Melling does a great job being horrible. I saw himla in The Queen's Gambit, too. 👌
Interesting fact but House-Elves have very powerful magic but because they’re enslaved they don’t utilize it to the full extent outside of what their master or mistress commands them to do. Also, Voldemort is THE antagonist of the story, and you’re going to find out how powerful he is because he can’t be EASILY defeated
Hermione is not more powerful than Harry. I understand why you think so but in the books it's clearer. She's more knowledgeable. She reads all the textbooks ahead of time, before the readings are assigned. She remembers spells and enchantments she has learned from her reading. She's a deep thinker as well but Ron and Harry are more about the action than she is. Can't say more because -- spoilers. But as you see more of the movies you'll see some of what I mean. Some will not be as clear because starting with Azkaban, the filmmakers started giving Hermione some of Ron's and Harry's dialogue and action. Bits and pieces at first but it all adds up to making her seem more powerful than the books present.
Maggie Smith was truly one of our greatest actors. If you really want to see some of her best performances, may I suggest "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress, "California Suite" (Oscar for Best Supporting Actress), "Evil Under The Sun", "Death On The Nile" (1978), and "Hot Millions".
Great reaction guys to a enjoyable potter movie. Cant belive this movie is over 20 years now, They really upped the speical effects in this movie. Big thumbs up
Just FYI: A muggle has no magic. A pure blood has pure blood parents. Others are called half blood. If they have muggle parents, they are called muggleborn (polite) or mudblood (slur). If I recall correctly, Ron is pure, Harry is half (because his mother was muggleborn) and Hermione is of course muggleborn. Fun reaction! The next film is when the series kicks it into high gear 🙂 Edit: I googled it, and for clarification, you apparently need no muggle blood at least 4 generations back to claim to be pure.
@@dontrelldurant3450 His mother was muggleborn, so he's half. If she were half, then he might be considered pure. But no wizard once removed from muggles would be considered pure.
@dontrelldurant3450 it makes COMPLETE sense if you understand pedigree. It's the same with dogs. Just because two dogs look like poodles does not mean their offspring is a purebred if the grandparents aren't pure as well. That's why dog breeding involves certification of pedigree, to prove the purity of the line, and why purebred dogs are ridiculously expensive (and just FYI, I'm stone set AGAINST this kind of dog breeding, but I have a basic understanding of their pedigree rules).
@dontrelldurant3450 Also, just a suggestion: instead of arguing with an uninformed opinion, you should research things beforehand if you don't have the relevant information. All I had to google was "is harry a half blood" to get the same explanation that I gave you. If you had done that, it would have saved us both time, and you would not have had to be wrong.
@dontrelldurant3450 You asked a question, yes, but then you began debating the answer without having the relevant background information (ie, an understanding of how pedigree works). Instead of telling me that doesn't make sense, educate yourself. You live in a world where pretty much every single piece of information we've ever collected is literally one google search away. Take advantage of that. Educate YOURSELF, instead of expecting random youtube commenters to educate you (and then debating them when they take the time to answer your question).
@dontrelldurant3450 the fact you've heard people telling you to do your own work enough that you find it irritating does not surprise me, nor the fact someone as intellectually slothful as you would settle on whining about others being "triggered" when they point out that they don't OWE YOU their time to explain BASIC FACTS you are too ignorant to know and too dense to understand. This is a skill issue on your end, dude.
The scene where Lucius kicks Dobby down the stairs. He's obviously CGI so when he kicked the director thought he slipped at first until he said that was me kicking Dobby down the steps. The director liked the idea and left it in👍🏼
Don’t forget Pure-blood = ONLY Magical ancestry Squibs = Wizards born into a magical family but don’t have Magic powers Cross-Breeds = Wizards and Witches who are partially human
This was actually the last movie with the original Dumbledore. Also the store scene in the beginning, in the books Malfoys dad and Weasleys dad they fought hands . But in the movie they made it just verbal .
I love Hagrid..and Dobby. Just think the whole time Harry was in that closet they lived in a 4 bedroom house. Master bedroom, guest room and 2 rooms for Dudley. 1 to sleep in and one to hold the toys, etc that he's broken or outgrown.
I'm not gonna lie....when I first saw the basilisk in this movie, I had the same reaction Ron had with Aragog. (side note: I am NOT fearful of snakes or spiders). Also, every time I hear Hermione say "She's a little sensitive" to describe Moaning Myrtle, I always have the same first thought: A LITTLE sensitive?" Side note: I always have the thought of "Harry's lucky Fawkes clawed out the Basilisk's eyes, otherwise that rock trick in the tunnel wouldn't have worked at all", combined with "Don't you dare sneeze, Harry"
Fireworks & Whiite Gold, you've won a free copy of Gilderoy Lockhart's #1 bestseller: "How To Set Pixies Loose" (crickets chirping) Alright, I'll toss it in the garbage.
Do you think they noticed Lockhart had a giant painting of Lockhart painting a painting of Lockhart in which Lockhart is painting a portrait of Lockhart? I’d say you can’t make this stuff up but…
I love this film, in my opinion the best in the entire franchise next to goblet of fire, this was the first true dark film that made the other dark ones what they were if that makes sense, I love the whole hint with the diary and the orgin connection reveal of Voldemort being the heir of slytheren.
What you said about Harry being a luke thing thats really funny because Star Wars and Harry Potter are actually the same thing storywise Luke lives with aunt and uncle so does Harry Never knew their parents Possesses great power and so on
Interesting fact that bit you said Malfoy the hater when he dragged Crabb down wasn't scripted the Actor playing crabb was not meant to stand so Tom ( Malfoy ) was just correcting him but it was caught on camera so left it in
Nope not the Power of Merlin, mor the power of the griffendor sorts owner ! (Remember fußt a real griffendor can apear & use the sort of griffendor! ;) By the way Merlin was a slitherin (ehat not means he was evil)
Great reaction! On the question of Harry’s power as a wizard, his power (call it “magic amperage”) is more likely from his parents. They were strong witches and wizards so too was their offspring. That isn’t guaranteed but is usual. What Harry got from Voldemort were abilities, not power. Some wizards are natural flyers (Harry is one of the best; Draco also appears to be a natural flyer). That’s an ability. Other witches & wizards need to learn & practice-and may ultimately become barely capable through very good. But the inborn ability-they don’t even need to study. Harry acquired the parseltongue ability from Voldemort. Did he acquire anything else? Spoilers! Gotta watch to find out. Hoping we get to see your Azkaban reaction soon. Just sharing enthusiasm… 😉
A basilisk isn't a snake...its a lizard (i.e. Jesus Christ lizard)...runs across water cool af... this is the absolute only issue i have with the entire HP.. series 😅... and it drives me nuts i swear...

Fun fact: the iconic "i didn't know you could read" line was Tom Felton ad libbing because he forgot his actual line.

6:48 "master gave Dobby a Glock" honestly there's some memes like that one fireworks has to see once he's gone through the series
The actor who plays Draco is actually a couple years older than the actors for Harry, Ron and Hermione so that is why he looks older.
