Really good showcase. I would also like to see a an updated Beetrooper List with this new engine. Having a Link 3 Insect monster that's also an extender really helps that deck out a lot :)
Traptrix also benefits from all of this, this truly is the Tri-Brigade of plant insect and reptile

Beetrooper is interesting. There's some potential synergy with Cruel Saturnas summoning the monsters that the Raika cards banish too.

This deck looks so fun. The fact that we get to use Serpentine Princess now makes it even better as she was the card to have back in the day. Can't wait to try it out myself!

Reptiles and insects never had an issue spamming the board its just that they dont do anything. If this decks gets any support that actually ends on anything at all it might be good.
I think the difference that this bridges the different types so while each of those types independently don’t have a huge payoff - a combination of the three might just be strong enough to be meta viable
reptiles have a nice lock ( but yeah its literally jus that for the ED ), mixed with evoltile cards they can make huge boards ( two card combos of that play around nib droll ecc...). The issue is all about going second and the number of garnets u need to play. These cards seem to not help in both of that issues, but well see
@@sergiosalazar5399 the problem is the extra deck, there's not a single plant/reptile/insect monster worth summoning. The link 4 and 5 are laughably bad since you'll spend 20 minutes comboing just to end on a nibiru token. That all changes if this deck gets a single good extra deck monster to summon.
I think the board it usually ends on isn’t bad, but it’s not unbreakable obviously and the going 2nd problem is big. But I’m sure some spice tech will pop up to fix a few of those problems, or just its ability to spam will get it into meta play. Cant wait to see because PLAYABLE reptiles was on bucket list lol

Ah, Serpentine Princess, and the good old days of playing it with Morhping Jar #2 + All-Out Attacks.
Feels like drytrons/dragon rulers for the extra deck but for insects, plants, and reptiles. It’s really cool tbh. The effects are not bad either (reminds me of tear when they were first revealed; they have good effects but not overwhelming however they did things no deck ever did before). Reptile and insects having good cards is cool but kinda worried about plants being included.
Traptrix and raika have natural synergy.

@@Lithium2300 I love it, new potential with reptiles with more extenders pass ash blossom is unheard of, I remember when you went the bishbalkin synchro route with ogdoadics and I still use it still to this day.

@@Renegade77784You can't. Extra Deck monsters as well as Rituals must first be properly summoned before you can attempt to revive them. Same goes for Branded stuff
@@iranoutofideas3422 OK thanks for letting me know how the card works. It would be kinda broken if you could just bypass using 4 or 5 monsters just by paying life points especially when late game when your life points are lower.
Haggard Lizardose, new reptile link in LEDE is great in combo one in place of the reptilianne link. You can generate a draw for free before linking up into the Sunavalon
Honestly seems like a really cool archetype that will find home in a lot of different decks that aren’t too great. Love it!

Hi lithium, big fan over here. Can you explain why does the serpentine Princess effect works but when you do something like returning eternal soul to the deck, it doesn't destroy the monsters on the field?

Serpentine Princess specifically says on the card that it activates when returned to the deck. Usually, cards with floating effects when they "leave the field" don't trigger when bounced to the deck/ED because those are hidden information. The wording on Serpentine Princess (and Gladiator Beasts iirc) allows them to trigger still, because cards are allowed to break rules if their effect says they're breaking a rule.

This just looks fun and the fact they want to play with Reptile, Plant and Insect makes them a nice inclusion for other archetypes too.

I don't like the idea of combining these cards with a deck that already has a powerful grind game like Ogdoadic. It seems redundant more so than additive. I think that either combining these Raika cards with a strategy that has a powerful turn 1 like the plant pile to give it a grind game or combining these cards with some of the insect strategies with powerful going second cards to give them something to do turn 1 while shoring up these cards weaknesses shows more promise.
100% agree with you. I feel like the best version of ogdoadic is the pure and the combo lines just collide. The boards you end on with the pure are just better and give you more followup

Looks nice but I think the beetrooper variant is better. You get to make Rafflesia on the 5th summon for Nib and the endboards are very similar too

Looks cool I have a question tho. In the first replay you discarded the rails trap and I don't see you shuffle it back (unless I'm blind) just to then add it to you hand with the L3 raika monster. But you only run one of it
I can now splash some of these cards in my Alien deck especially the link-4. We just need some more extra deck reptile types so when we go into Reptilianne Echidna we have some more reptile plays this is a good start Konami. Maybe some extra deck reptiles that search alien spells and traps?
I've been practicing with Cosmic Pincer/Slicer. I've created a monster effect lock on the field and in hand after the first effect activation.

This doesn't seem better than the Ogdo line that includes Zeroll and PPV IE 2600 one sided Skill Drain so why bother changing that out for the Rakia stuff?
Thing is ogdo doesnt really perform well now, for a reason..
@@Lithium2300 okay. So why is any of this better than ending on the Zeroll one side skill Drain effect plus Neph and the non target non destroy board wipe in Ogdoabyss? It doesn't seem like it does nearly as much in the way of interrupting the opponent especially if they're not reliant on hand effects or if their stuff can't be destroyed or benefits from pops. Stopping their plays before they start seems way more effective.

Are you allowed to summon the Raika Links even if you send them to the graveyard with Extra Foolish Burial? If so that would be a cool way to avoid triggering Nibiru's effect by not summoning too many monsters.

Honestly, instead of the plant link and serpentine princess, you could run a 2 card therion package with sargas and merrymaker in extra to help get it out. In any part of your ogdo combo, you could have sent the reptile therion/regulus, and made a monster negate as to not lose to nibiru. The serpentine princess/Plat link is cute, but they are a little too clunky for a deck that already struggles with being clunky.

@bluedogygo , I'm aware. You don't do the raika play line first. The playing that gets you the token spell gets you to 2 lvl 4s 90% of the time. Also snake rain does is by itself.
It seems like we got a problem everytime we get new cards due to the current powercreep since all new cards seems to break some cards / decks in one way or another

I think because of the focus on a Tri-Types. Insect, Plant and Reptile versus the actual play style

There is a nice traptrix combo, which is mid rangy and doesn't need much and ends with a good setup.
Still nowhere as good as the Snake Eyes stuff though. Just play as a resource loop Traptrix Myrmeleo, Pudica and Holetea (the only good traptrix trap + 2-3 sera in the extra) and some number of gokipole
You can like, summon the Level 1 discard Gokipole, search Myrmeleo and keep going from there
