The dark orange mixed with the dark tan and gold looks so much better than previous versions, and it looks way more accurate. The 2012 one has way too many exposed studs and the colour is off
Sets with General Grievous are getting expensive. This and the Combat speeder. I’m glad I got the wheel bike. They should of included 2 airborne troopers

The thing with this set, is that I love the actual set, I think it looks do cool, but it is way too overpriced, and the minifigures are disappointing. If it was £20 cheaper, I would 100% buy it, even if they didn't change the figs. I mean, the Obi Wan is a little disappointing, but it doesn't bother me that much, had Ryan not pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed, and I just wish we'd gotten a Phase 2 Cody!

I love that Grievous and Airborne Trooper (I would love to see how they are deployed and that red blaster color is inaccurate) and we need him in more sets along with the regular 212 th Battalion Troopers along with Battle Droids and a Crab Droid as well the Octuparra Droid. This could’ve been the best set of the wave if it was a battle of utapau. They could’ve added a boga build like the luggabeast in the Jakku marketplace. I think it could’ve also had a small archway like the one obi wan gods through before order 66. And also had 2 battle droids and a commander Cody as well. For $80 it would’ve been an incredible set

This set was really important to me so after you read my first comment come here I’m pissed I’ve been dying for them to make a rebooted general grievous’s ship So when I learned that they screwed us over on the wrong coloring of general grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi having the wrong torso I flip my sh!t I know it’s just Lego and I should just Move on just like anybody else and I know you can tell me that but it doesn’t change my feelings🙁
I asked for this for Christmas. Wanted it really bad. Grew up with the original back in the day, and was ecstatic by this new build and Grievous. But as with most legos these days... the price turned me off. Didn’t get it for Christmas, and was about to blow a $100 Amazon gift card on this set. TL;DR THANK YOU for this video man! Saved me a lot of money and imma put that cash to some stuff I really need :) Also I recently got the new Slave 1, a set I was screwed OUT of as a kid, so I’m still happy with the nostalgia I have.
I don’t get the trouble you’re having with this set. The hidden lightsaber holding areas are not difficult, simply try to get them into the red beam as much as you can. And for the cockpit, you can keep grievous other 4 arms and fit him in easily, simply cross the extra arms in toward each other across his chest. As for the price tag, 80$ is too much. Got it for 65$ on eBay, not complaining. There are A LOT of pieces that are either exclusive or rarely used in this set, at least 30% of the pieces I came across in the building process, I was certain I’ve never used before. That’s why the design of this set is so advanced for only 480 pieces of LEGO. It’s absolutely gorgeous and for anyone reading this who hasn’t gotten the set, the build alone is worth it. There are so many times where I thought that the designer of this model was literally using cheat codes. Best star fighter LEGO has produced, and they know it, hence the tag. Same story with the clone
Can we maybe consider the possibility that the obi wan gets reused because lego produced too much of those particular minifigures and didn't want to throw them away, assuming kids (which for the most is their target audience) wouldn't even care and can pretend they're battle marks or something.

I hate how people are saying the airborne Trooper is a bad minifigure because it’s not phase 2 Cody. Also for the obi wan situation, Since when has lego ever been accurate with their sets? They put a Shazam minifigure in a Batman vs riddler set, since when did Ahsoka and a 332nd Trooper fight off against a aat?, lego has been inaccurate with their sets since forever and you guys are complaining about this now... also just because the obiwan is inaccurate to this set does not make the figure bad. Speaking on the phase 2 Cody situation, lego has spent so much money on making the new molds and designs for the other figures in the summer set wave and the Mandalorion set, that making a phase 2 Cody, remaking the old version of obiwan to make it accurate, making grevious tan, will cost them over their budget for this wave and probably make the other wave of Star Wars sets have a smaller funding budget.
I had no plans on getting this set due to its price and already having the 07 version, but my fiance suprised me with it as an early Valentines day gift . I do wish Obi was more accurate but i have another more accurate version of episode 3's obi-wan. I wasnt expecting much from the build but man does it do more justice in person. Its such a great build, especially compared to the 07 version.

The need to put a phase two Cody and keep the airborne trooper aswell. The also need to fix obi wan and keep Grevous to give us four minifigures and mabye even two airborne troopers.

So when I learned that they screwed us over on the wrong coloring of general grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi having the wrong torso

I asked for this for Christmas. Wanted it really bad. Grew up with the original back in the day, and was ecstatic by this new build and Grievous. But as with most legos these days... the price turned me off. Didn’t get it for Christmas, and was about to blow a $100 Amazon gift card on this set.

I don’t get the trouble you’re having with this set. The hidden lightsaber holding areas are not difficult, simply try to get them into the red beam as much as you can. And for the cockpit, you can keep grievous other 4 arms and fit him in easily, simply cross the extra arms in toward each other across his chest.
As for the price tag, 80$ is too much. Got it for 65$ on eBay, not complaining. There are A LOT of pieces that are either exclusive or rarely used in this set, at least 30% of the pieces I came across in the building process, I was certain I’ve never used before. That’s why the design of this set is so advanced for only 480 pieces of LEGO. It’s absolutely gorgeous and for anyone reading this who hasn’t gotten the set, the build alone is worth it. There are so many times where I thought that the designer of this model was literally using cheat codes. Best star fighter LEGO has produced, and they know it, hence the tag. Same story with the clone

Can we maybe consider the possibility that the obi wan gets reused because lego produced too much of those particular minifigures and didn't want to throw them away, assuming kids (which for the most is their target audience) wouldn't even care and can pretend they're battle marks or something.

This was an amazing interview I was on the fence as a new Lego builder but I definitely want this now not only was I able to see all the features of the build kenobi and grievous are my all time favorite duo thank you!
I hate how people are saying the airborne Trooper is a bad minifigure because it’s not phase 2 Cody. Also for the obi wan situation, Since when has lego ever been accurate with their sets? They put a Shazam minifigure in a Batman vs riddler set, since when did Ahsoka and a 332nd Trooper fight off against a aat?, lego has been inaccurate with their sets since forever and you guys are complaining about this now... also just because the obiwan is inaccurate to this set does not make the figure bad. Speaking on the phase 2 Cody situation, lego has spent so much money on making the new molds and designs for the other figures in the summer set wave and the Mandalorion set, that making a phase 2 Cody, remaking the old version of obiwan to make it accurate, making grevious tan, will cost them over their budget for this wave and probably make the other wave of Star Wars sets have a smaller funding budget.

I had no plans on getting this set due to its price and already having the 07 version, but my fiance suprised me with it as an early Valentines day gift . I do wish Obi was more accurate but i have another more accurate version of episode 3's obi-wan. I wasnt expecting much from the build but man does it do more justice in person. Its such a great build, especially compared to the 07 version.
When this set costs 90 Euro in my country. Toy shop that sells it. Ahh victory
