It's good to see a REAL Guy on youtube doing work in the real garage. This is most of our garages. Not a slam Dan. If I had a clean garage, I wouldn't be able to find anything. Great channel! Love watching.
@J.W. S. Nope, not new. I asked the same question when Dan did the full floor on the Wagon. Seems to me that's the perfect opportunity to get some rust protection on those frame rails while there's nothing on top of them.
I have been watching your videos for about a year and just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy them. I love the way you take a 4 door to a 2 door conversion. I had a 57 chevy belair 2 door hardtop back in the early 70's and really loved that car. I have often wondered if I could restomod an tri5 chevy with disc brakes and 350 efi. Your mods are sometimes a little over the top for my old bones, but I love them none the less. Thanks for the great videos.
I agree, its fun to watch Dans enthusiasm. An artist goes best when the mood takes him. When hes in the zone hes in the flow. I would love to have his skills.
How can you not like skill and craftmanship with the hands even though imperfect - I 'll take structure over beauty anytime - "It is what it is ' - Enjoy the videos - keep it up
Dan, you are the MAN! My father had 57 2 door back in the late 60's. Wish I had one.... I Enjoy watching you build, shape and world a monster into a F U N Machine!
You’re lucky to have Queen D around to do the heavy work. 😉👍🏻 My Back hurts just watching you guys. My Dad always said I were two hevy fer lite werk end two lite fer hevy werk.
I'm digging the Black Widow build! (If anyone gives you flack about 5 lug/ 6 lug rims; pick up some '57 dog dish hubcaps and toss 'em on.) You're shifting gears?? Meh, do what ya gotta do!!!! Tri-five videos? I'M IN!!!!!
Every time I watch one of your videos Dan I am motivated to go out to my garage and do a little bit more on my bag of bolts. Plus! Now feel confident enough to tackle a 4 to 2 swap…. Yea….
this guy is what hot rodding is all about small garage doing it all himself, taking his time doing a great job, now i can understand some bux up guy just buyin one all done thats cool but this is what reel hot rodding is all a bout congrats
Nice job on a GREAT BUILD very helpful and you will have a nice Black Widow when done and with engine choice and A/c you have made look out for next summer.
Found you a few days ago and your one of very few who keep it real,in a way that the average Joe can relate..You haven't got deep pockets full of money to throw at problems..good to watch..🇬🇧
Lol. Ya you literally threw it in !! A few minutes later and a few convincing pry bar moves and it was done. Still is lots of work for a old beater like that. 🤣. Looking forward to seeing your next video of this bygone heritage. Thanks DDspeedshop
Don't let the haters bother you , some people just want to bring everybody down to their miserable level.Keep the video's coming , you are my number one u tube choice.😊
As an owner of a 57 two door wagon, thank you for showing me what can be done with time and a few tools.Mine is a desert car so not much rust, just need to get to it.
Hey Dan, I was a little worried that you were going to put the floor pan in backwards for a minute. I glad no one was around me when you first laid the floor pan down to slide it in. I was saying out load to turn it around it's backwards. lol It looks good and you make it look easy. Great job so far. Can't wait till you have it finished. Take care and be safe.
Great job man, you’re gonna need a front and back garage door on your next garage, rusted junk in the back door, restored car out the front, assembly line restorations by DD Speed shop
Good job Dan. You’ve probably came up with the most labor and cost effective installation that is possible for the tri-fives full floor replacement. Always enjoy your videos. 👍🙂👉🇺🇸🇨🇦
Like your videos, you remind me of a very close friend I worked with back in the mid 70's building limos. You look like and sound like him. You do well for only a one man shop.
Just when I thought you were a total hack , you impress me ! Good job Dan ! One more thing , tighten up things before you move on to something else. It's scary when you get home from a test drive and you find all the loose front end parts you never finished tightening up.
If it’s going to be a daily driver and present itself as a Black Widow, get your buddy to do a quick paint job on it. Keep working on this one until it’s done. No jumping around for you, buster!
Did I miss DD soeed shop live? I didnt see a notification. you are an ol pro at swappin out he floor pans. New car? you have a short attention span already throwing the wagon and black widow to the side. maybe this shoud be DD sheetmetal shop channel lol. very entertaining thanks for sharing
You do good work. I was the keeper of several 57s, and a certified welder. I’m looking for a 55. Also I like the way you educate people coming into them. Keep up the good work. “Eh” lol
This is just getting better & better
DAN IS THE "FLOOR WHISPERER"
DAN DAD THE FLOOR PAN MAN LOL !!!Good job buddy . It is looking more like the Black Widow ever day ..
Haha getting there!
You are by far my favorite TH-cam channel. Love the work you do.
Thanks for the love!
I love the 57 Patrick Swayze drives in Dirty Dancing

I think the whole floor is the way to go. Everything is fresh and solid, it should last another sixty years
Exactly .
Geez more like 150 years with the way people take care if these cars nowadays
If 2 door converting tri 5s was an Olympic sport you'd definitely probably maybe get a medal!
Why not clean up and paint the frame rails while you have the floor out?
@J.W. S. Nope, not new. I asked the same question when Dan did the full floor on the Wagon. Seems to me that's the perfect opportunity to get some rust protection on those frame rails while there's nothing on top of them.
Doze anybody sandblast up their. DAN...
That would make way too much sense 😂

Hi, " Floor Pan Dan"!
I have been watching your videos for about a year and just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy them. I love the way you take a 4 door to a 2 door conversion. Hey thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate all the support
As a carpenter I will always appreciate craftsmanship and that's why I watch
Me too!
Black and white, such a classic combination
I kinda like that you switch up the projects regularly, if you're excited about it, it's more fun to watch.
I never complete any projects too. Exciting?? lol

My Back hurts just watching you guys.
My Dad always said I were two hevy fer lite werk end two lite fer hevy werk.
If it was easy we wouldn't be saving them. The complete pan looks like the best way to go, rather than patching in. Keep pluggin away.
I'll watch a few more and then start on mine. Your videos help me out.
This dude is the king of make it work THATS A FACT.
Gotta work with what ya got haha
I'm digging the Black Widow build! (If anyone gives you flack about 5 lug/ 6 lug rims; pick up some '57 dog dish hubcaps and toss 'em on.)

Love your motivation brother. Keep the Hot Rod spirit alive.
“Floor Pan Dan” that name has a certain ring to it
Nice job on a GREAT BUILD very helpful and you will have a nice Black Widow when done and with engine choice and A/c you have made look out for next summer.

I've never seen a floor installed like this but it seems very effective
Brutal job but so rewarding to see the result. It could be a great cruiser mimic of the Black Widow. Way to go.
Good job 👌
Hey Dan, I was a little worried that you were going to put the floor pan in backwards for a minute. I glad no one was around me when you first laid the floor pan down to slide it in.
I was saying out load to turn it around it's backwards. lol

It's coming along nicely. The floor went together pretty good 👍👍🇨🇱
Great job Dan! You have done so many floor pans I think you can do them in your sleep!
That would make my life easier haha
Great job man, you’re gonna need a front and back garage door on your next garage, rusted junk in the back door, restored car out the front, assembly line restorations by DD Speed shop
You’ve done this so many times, you probably can do it in your sleep. Good job!
D & D, Dan, I thought the same thing when you were pulling the floor pan onto the chassis...backwards...well you saved another tri-5...God Bless!!
Good job Dan. You’ve probably came up with the most labor and cost effective installation that is possible for the tri-fives full floor replacement. Always enjoy your videos.

Like your videos, you remind me of a very close friend I worked with back in the mid 70's building limos. You look like and sound like him. You do well for only a one man shop.
Nice job champion. It'll look great with panel, paint, chrome, interior work done. 👍
Just when I thought you were a total hack , you impress me ! Good job Dan ! One more thing , tighten up things before you move on to something else. It's scary when you get home from a test drive and you find all the loose front end parts you never finished tightening up.

Right on man. Glad to help in any way!
Loving this build, you know you've done a lot of floor replacements when you make it look easy! I'm in love with these cars.
I’m happy you took my advice about removing the front tires
Pretty impressive indeed! I respect a man who can wrestle a giant piece of sheet metal all on his lonesome.
Looks good
Really like this project but any project you do is enjoyably and informative. Good job on the camera Dani. 👍👊😊
