this worked but getting that original manufacturer bushing out was really tough. I wasn't able to finish removing it with a drill and had to use a little saw blade to cut it into several sections, then pried those pieces out with the back of a claw hammer. Is there an easier way to remove those?

I'm guessing having the hood removed makes it a _little_ easier!
Great tutorial, thanks.
