Hi mate, Ride advise 6-10cm shorter than your normal all mountain size. So as you say, you could go with either. Personally I’d be going with the Large - these boards are designed to be ridden short and wide, so I’d rather take advantage of that and experience the board as it was intended. I oversized when I first tried this and it felt waaay too wide and heavy. You’re also comfortably within the weight range for it. That being said, if you lean more into all-mountain freeride than all-mountain freestyle, then the XL might be better. On the L, you will certainly notice how much edge you’ve lost - if your priority is hard carving and bombing at speed, the XL would be better. However if you want a fun all-rounder which is snappier and spinner, (and has the novelty factor), then the L is a good call.
Huck Knife is definitely more freestyle focused. Pretty much a pure true twin park board which holds up reasonably across the mountain. If you're a certified park rat, stick with the Huck Knife. If you're riding the rest of the mountain equally as much, and want something a little different, then the Warpig is worth a shout. Hope that helps.
Forgot to mention - if you're looking for a Huck Knife with a little more pop/response, check out the "Pro" model. Same feel, shape, profile etc - just a little more kick.
Wonder what size you would suggest for me as i fall into the 142 and 148 category, i am around 5ft 8, weigh around 65kg and wear a uk 6.5 not sure if the 148 would be too wide but then if the 142 would be too short
It's tricky when you fall into multiple possible sizes. Personally, I'd be going for the 148 in your specs. Your weight is towards the upper limit of the 142, and you're tall enough to (probably) want the wider stance width options. I see what you mean with boot size though... Have you ridden midwide/wide boards before? What's your board length in non-shifted boards?
Skeptical woth these load shifted decks, im 6ft5 200lbs ride mostly cliffs pillows and trees, usually a 166, you think because its load shifted i could get away with the 158 and still be able to stomp cliffs and not nose in? Cheers
Hi. In terms of weight… you’re definitely fine. I’m similar weight, but much more vertically challenged 😂 Height is a different factor. Any idea your stance width? Sounds like you’re not riding groomers very often, and no park either? If that’s the case, then I would probably look at other options. If you’re keen to stay with Ride, have you checked out the MTNPIG? The Peace Seeker is also great for pure carving/powder riding, but I think it maxes out at 155 which is less optimal.
Check the sizing carefully. If you get the right size (which can be as much as 10cm shorter than your normal board) then the flex should be as advertised. If you go too long (like I did initially) then it's definitely going to be a fairly stiff board. Even in the right size it's by no means a soft flex, more a 5-6/10.
Hey mate. I’m about to pull the trigger on one of these. Abit stuck for sizes. I’m 6ft and 100kg with size 12 boot. I was thinking the 154 but after seeing this considering the 151. What’s your opinion? Cheers.
A 151 will be more nimble but wash out easier, a 154 will charge hard but be slighty harder to get on edge in tight situations. I don't think either you will boot out. They are pretty wide. But if I was you I would go for a 154. I think a 151 will be too small nand leave you wanting a lot more out of it.

Hey! I’m 200lbs-ish, size 10 boots, initially went with the large and was not a fan. Jumped over to my buddies Small and had a blast. However at my weight, I do fit Ride’s specs for the small, medium AND large (which is confusing). Medium would probably be my sweet spot truthfully. What’s your rough ability level and riding preferences? What is your usual all mountain size? The shop are correct in that the size chart would put you on a large (based on weight). You might squeeze onto a medium though if you’re not overly tall (affects the flex and reference stance) and/or are used to riding a

In exchange you’ll get narrower waist width, more response, a little more freestyle friendly (though probably less poppy) and get to feel a little more of the Warpig volume-shift personality. That being said, the large would represent more of a true “all mountain” quiver of one and be more freeride friendly. I’d normally say absolutely stick with this, but I can see why you’d be put off with your binding/boot size. Either will probably work, you just have to decide which aspects you’re willing to compromise on. If that makes sense?

My old Huck Knife just died - is the Warpig similar? Can't decide between this and another HK

I’m 6’2 / 210.
Ridden boards from 160-168. Never ridden a powder board. I think k the 158 would work?
My buddy thinks his is much stiffer than 5/10. He thinks you need to be heavier to ride it. Thoughts?
