Turn your defuels off. You’re gonna blow a head gasket. Your timing level stays at max and it pulls fuel out. Which equals very high cylinder temps when it can’t burn the extra fuel it don’t have cause it’s pulling it back.
We rarely hit the defuel when it was on we since have turned it off
@@DIYKAI good deal. I got a 2011 model. I have the mini max still. I run the default timing and tow and street tune. No issues. But all defuels off. Mine will hit 36 psi pretty easily but I rarely do that. Only when engine and trans is fully warmed up.
It's great being pre def lol
2 questions for ya. Where did you get your mount for your Mini Maxx computer for the column. And also why is yours defueling at about 33 psi of boost. I have the same tuner on my 6.7 and i’m curious
Check this links out for the mounting options:

We set the defuel between 32-35 psi depending on what type of driving we are doing. That is because we don't have head studs yet. Stock defuel is around 28 PSI.
Im thinking about tapping thread into the stock intake instead of buying this expensive adapter kit to get the same results!
You will not get the same results the stock intake is trash and has no good spot to tap…you can get a cheap ram horn style for under 150 and it will flow much better than stock
I can not find this for sale anyplace on the internet. Can you tell me where I can buy this
Here you go
www.glacierdieselpower.com/
Do you need to change anything when you install this like the tune for example or defuel? Can I just install this and not do anything else? My truck is stock.
If you are just doing the grid heater delete plate and the inline heater from GDP everything should bolt right up no tune needed
@DIYKAI excellent thank you for the quick reply, have a great day!
@@JDMshitbox your welcome you as well!
Can u put the links where u got the parts at
We got it directly from GLACIER website
Do you need a fuel line adapter for this?
Nope works with stock lines
Also do I buy S-2 or S-3
I order the kit it says “choose application” (standerd pickup) or (cab and chassis) what does that mean
@@wylet1143 standard is what most people have that’s a regular truck with cab and bed…..cab and chassis would be like a work truck like the welding ones you see with no pickup bed on the back…they are slightly different then the regular consumer ones you get from the dealer
What catch can are you using?
That’s not a catch can it’s an oil bypass kit
Do we know if this comes for a 2021?
Most parts are interchangeable between 4th gen 6.7 and some 5th
What exactly are you looking for
@@DIYKAI the horn. Heater intake plate. Maybe
@@markadams3858 we can check in a few and let you know
Both are available for a 21
Where do you have the pyro.
Rear of the exhaust manifold
@@DIYKAI is the plate tapped for one
@@wizard_of_poz4413 yes it is
@@wizard_of_poz4413 the stock one is not
@@DIYKAI I've got a port up towards the front that's for some sensor of indeterminate function from the factory and I've got a tapped hole in the rear delete plate from gdp that came with a sort of brass looking plug that upon a weekend of some spirited driving with a trailer through west va, saw the plug shot clear out of the plate
Like GDP products, their customer service however sucks!
Really? I was able to speak with them directly with any issues…..they were extremely helpful
@@DIYKAI trying to get through to sales. Won’t answer phones or emails.
@@nathandeboer7974 are you having issues or trying to order?
@@DIYKAI order
@@nathandeboer7974 got ya hopefully they are just super busy….so far we have over 10k miles on our set up and never missed a beat
Awesome video, you saved me some head scratching, I have a 2011 3500 SRW that I'm getting ready to down for a few days and replace my actuator & delete my stock grid heater. Thank You. th-cam.com/video/XgA8QLHw-MY/w-d-xo.html
Thanks! We have done so many mods to our 12 3500 DRW any questions don’t hesitate to ask. We just did a little 2k mile trip hauling 10k+ no issues at all EGTs never went above 1000 and outside temps were 100°+
@@DIYKAI In case you haven't run into this problem yet, I've had this pesky vibration that got to the annoying stage, it was my front driveline. Heard a few horror stories about them catastrophically failing and taking out the trans, transfer case, brake lines and beating the crap out of the floor.
th-cam.com/video/GPF5nyZFjug/w-d-xo.html
We ended up replacing everything b4 a 2k miles trip because we had a vibration…..tires, wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, pads everything lol 250k and she is running smooth
That looks good. Did that help the fuel mileage. I'm getting crappy fuel mileage 12-13 . Wish I could find someone to do this to mine.
@@Jarhead68 Thanks and yes definitely did help highway 20+ easy city 15.5-18 depending on how heavy the foot is lol….towing 10k+ between 10-13 depending on hills
Is this a common problem on the 5.9 trucks as well?
No only the 6.7
The grid heater on a 5.9 should be a square looking box thing but we have not heard anything about that other than just failing and not heating
