Let me explain to everyone who says ethan doesnt have strength. He tackled a guy through a pillar and overpowered guys much bigger than him etc..
Finally, someone who knows and scales Ethan Hunt instead of some random who only saw MI Fallout and say they've been an MI Fan their entire life.
John Wick literally kicked a guy through bullet proof glass in Chapter 3, and in Chapter 3 we know that glass is bullet proof as it stopped a bullet from killing Zero.

It's not a wonder she can give Ethan trouble at all. I don't see Wick overpowering two guys at once and the only way he could snap necks was put the neck in a delicate position where he can deliver a powerful Karate Chop. Meanwhile Paris can just snap necks easily without any convenience to help her.
I love Ethan, but even in a fight with no guns, I think he would struggle. He's stronger, and smarter and could probably survive against Wick, but beating him without his team, i don't 😊know
I dunno why people think Ethan needs a team to win fights when he has never used a team to win a fight at all in the movies. He only uses a team to succeed a mission which aren't even about killing some badguys like most action movies but rather about stopping a world ending weapon hidden around the world.

Ethan has speed, iq, agility and maybe stamina against John, everything else belongs to John. In a 1v1 fight, John wins. In a gun dual, it's not a question that John will win that. But in an all out war with every arsenal they have, Ethan barely wins cuz of his gadgets and mi6.

- Most of the time, he beats his opponents with only two or three strikes unlike John Wick who has to do a lot of fancy stuff to really take them out in hand to hand combat. The only people Ethan Hunt struggled against were only a few and are on his caliber.

Sean Ambrose: Literally trained and molded to be Ethan's equal along with knowing how Ethan fights and thinks.
Kurt Hendricks: Twice heavier and taller than Ethan and was Swedish Special Forces. That and Ethan was more focused on getting the briefcase first rather than fighting and killing Kurt.
Kagan/Flautist Assassin: Thrice heavier and taller than Ethan and was Former Mossad and a Syndicate Assassin which is meant to handle people like Ethan and other assassins.
Fake John Lark: Literally a Syndicate Assassin that was preparing for Ethan and strong enough to ragdoll thrice his weight and size.
August Walker/Real John Lark: Literally thrice Ethan's size and weight along with being a trigger happy CIA Assassin.
Meanwhile Wick got mandhandled by random goons and thugs along with a middle aged fat mob boss who hasn't shown any impressive feats and statements.

Ethan is better at planning, Wick is smarter while in an actual fight. And since this is a 1v1, Hunt will be at a slight disadvantage.
That concrete wall is very impressive. But Wick easily kicked people into bullet proof glass with no difficulty, in paper Hunt’s feat is more impressive. But Wick did his glass feat while he had just been in a long and exhausting fight where he would’ve been shot and greatly injured (even though his suit is bullet proof it’s still very painful). And Wick had been kicked into the same glass twice before preforming his feat. Wick was heavily injured yet he preformed his feat easily, compare that to Hunt who wasn’t as badly injured and who charged the bad guy into the wall. Wicks feat is more impressive.

CQC combat (melee weapons, CQ firearms): Wick wins, mid-high diff.
Full arsenal: Hunt wins, neg diff.
Prep time: Hunt wins, no concept of diff.
Strength: Ethan is literally strong enough to smash through concrete or ragdoll opponents thrice his size or knock out people in riot gear armor using only his fists, making his striking punching power stronger than a baseball strike and I seem to remember baseball strikes literally knock out Wick a lot in the series. His kicks can also send people flying for a short distance. Wick has not shown this level of strength and always fail to overpower opponents bigger than him, resorting to guns and melee weapons instead. Ethan's strength overall would just literally make him able to toss or ragdoll John Wick around or knock him out in a few hits since Wick literally gets knocked from baseball bat strikes.
Speed: This is pretty much obvious to everyone who has a brain but Wick tards think Wick has superior combat reactions when he literally fails to react to trigger fingers or even dodge bullets. Meanwhile Ethan has shown to dodge and outrun bullets, react to drones moving at subsonic speeds, outrun a rocket, and also dodging rockets multiple times in MI Operation Surma which is a canon video game set before MI 3. He's fast enough to move faster than people pointing guns at his back, meaning he's faster than trigger fingers which is considered impossible by real life human standards along with being able to draw a gun so fast he's able to shoot four henchmen already pointing guns at him. Something Wick also hasn't achieved. This means crossverse Ethan would just be a blurry figure in Wick's eye if they were to fight in hand to hand combat.
Agility: Wick has not shown any agility feats. He doesn't show any backflips or extravagant agile movements whereas Ethan has been showing agility feats since 1996.
Durability: This is both. Wick may be able to take bullets or any piercing damage due to his armored suit but Ethan also has access to bulletproof vest which may be inferior to Wick's suit however Ethan takes blunt damage that would have otherwise killed most humans. This is best exemplified when he used himself as a battering ram to smash through a train car in MI Dead Reckoning. Such force would turn a human being into a smear of gory flesh and blood but Ethan was only dizzy from such damage.
IQ: Ethan Hunt literally deduces conspiracies, puzzles, and trickeries with little to no hints or clues. He literally makes sci fi level gadgetry himself and mentioned in the prequel novel to have an engineering degree and the top of his class. He was also involved in developing a high tech stealth suit in MI Operation Surma. He is shown to make trickeries, solutions, and complex scenarios all the time. This puts Ethan Hunt intellect vastly superior to Wick who has not shown any good judgement nor good decisions or even intellect, always acting out on impulses.
Battle IQ: Ethan Hunt knows 13 different martials according to commentary and the MI website whereas Wick only has a meager 7. Hunt literally reads the art of war and shown to be way more adaptable in combat. While Wick may be more ruthless in a fight, however Ethan is still a better fighter. And no, fighting and killing numerous nameless fodder assassins with no feats or statements scales nowhere and doesn't make Wick a better fighter. If anything it just support my argument about Wick always acting out on impulses and more ruthless compared to Ethan's passive approach.
Weapons: Ethan Hunt's safehouse featured in many films shows Ethan possessing many different rifles and handguns that surpasses everything Wick has carries. A G36 beats everything Wick carries considering it's one of the most powerful assault rifles in the world. Wick never carried guns that aren't even the most powerful guns in the world whereas Hunt has.
which leads us to marksmanship if you try bringing up slander about Ethan's accuracy.
Marksmanship: Ethan literally is shown to shoot down a drone moving at subsonic speeds while the sun was hitting his eyes which puts anything Wick has done in terms of accuracy to shame. Not only that, Wick tends to miss a lot than Ethan's, who may not engage in gunfights as Wick's however he has still shown enough to prove his marksman being superior to Wick's.
Stamina: Ethan can literally run non stop for 3 miles and still not get exhausted whereas Wick gassed out just for running a quarter mile in low speeds lol.
Endurance: The only thing Wick takes.
Attack Potency/Destructive Capacity: This is where Ethan just absolutely demolishes Wick. Ethan literally posesses a nuke, C4s, and an explosive gum which puts him at City Level Destruction whereas Wick has nothing to put him even building level.
Overall, Ethan claps no diff to low diff. Try bringing up allies, Ethan literally has the IMF, CIA, US Military and Government on his side which are more powerful than any organization in John Wick verse.

I have not seen the recent MI movies, so I cannot actually have a proper opinion, but based on what you said, I have to take more into consideration. Here's how I'm seeing things so far:

Here's why I say this. Wick does have agility feats, in the form of throwing his own body around to maneuver his opponents. Ethan's agility feats help very little in terms of actual combat (although this would more be a case of realism, in which my point holds no water).

Endurance: Wick
Stamina: Wick
Skill: Wick >=
IQ: Hunt
Battle IQ: Hunt
AP: Wick (H2H)
DC: Hunt (H2H)
Arsenal: Hunt

Overall: I still think Wick would take it H2H.
But in a CQC and prep-time situation, Hunt would take it. (I already said in my original comment that Hunt would neg Wick in full arsenal/prep-time situation, but I have changed my mind about CQC).

Funny how you say Wick takes Agility when Ethan can balance himself in a very difficult position while controlling his temperature in MI1. Ethan has also shown to control and drive his motorcycle while using his own motorcycle for cover and his own boots to create smoke. In terms of combat agility, Ethan literally fights like a ballet dancer when he starts using Capoera and Tae Kwan Do in MI 2 so yeah Ethan takes Agility.
You literally just don't even try arguing why Wick takes durability, stamina, skill, and ap other than pure bias for Wick.

Bro, ain't no way Ethan hunt surviving 100,000 assassins chasing after him without his team bro, trust me I have watched all of mission impossibles (1-7 P1) and all John wicks from (1-4) in 1v1 John wick will win easily, with guns, pencils, whatever John will win. John is a independent powerful man, I no Ethan stopped nuclear war and more but John has killed at least 2 million or more people he is independent no team, he has defeated the high table (aka all of mission impossible villains combined, the high table is the supreme ruler over the world and he defeated them. And even in a 1v1, John has killed 4 people equipped with knives and axes having no weapons himself. Ethan hunt has struggled killing a man with a knife. John wick has easily killed people with fists since he is a master of multiple master arts. Ethan hunt hasn't killed people with fists with ease. John is also better with melee knives and certainly guns. Ethan hunt is smarter but we are talking 1v1 in arena fight. John wins no chance, trust. He is much more accurate than Wick considering he can shoot down a drone moving at subsonic speeds while the sun was hitting his eyes. He literally snipes people with only an M9 Berreta while driving motorcycle in high speeds whereas Wick has to get up close to even get a clear shot. Ethan can dual wield without ever sacrificing his accuracy. In a quick draw, Ethan is also faster since he can shoot down four people already pointing guns at him whereas Wick literally couldn't do that and has to take a bullet for it.
Lastly Ethan can percieve and dodge bullets whereas Wick literally can't do that. Wick has shown he can only react to trigger fingers and aim. So yeah no matter how you spin it, Ethan beats Wick
