I really think Ilsa’s death was part of the overall plan to keep her safe. Ethan is smart, been playing this game a long time, I honestly think he knew Ilsa would be the target and they planned to fake her death (again) so she could go off the grid and maybe help Luther. Or Ilsa and Luther came up with the plan and didn’t tell Ethan so there was no way the Entity or Gabrielle could use her as leverage. Remember in Fallout Luther tries to get her not to come with them to Kashmir because she’d be one more thing for Ethan to worry about. I’m hoping we see her turn up in 8 just in time to save Ethan, or we see her turn at the end when everything is over. I don’t want to see them kill Ethan at the end, Bond already did that and that ending really ticked some people off. What I think a good ending would be is to have Ethan fake his death, so he’s out of the spy game for good and we see him and Ilsa reunite; both of them are free and out of the game.
Ilsa faust's death hurts. I think William Brandt (Jeremy Renner) will make a comeback in 2nd part. And because we see Eugene Kittridge as director of IMF, I think the AI, "The Entity" might also be connected to Jim Phelps (Jon Voight) from 1st movie. Nevertheless, I'm super excited for part 2. 🔥
Hi there here’s a little detail I noticed in this film so at the train when Grace puts on a mask like Alanna’s her eyes are brown when the real Alanna has blue eyes, so I want to know how Zola and Everyone else didn’t notice a sudden eye colour change! It’s just a detail I found so here you go!
I noticed that too. Since Tom Cruise is so meticulous about every detail of his films I decided that they did that purposely. I think that only the audience can see the brown eyes vs the blue eyes. Or maybe they just want to see how closely the audience pays attention to the little details in the movie. Any thoughts on those 2 theories?
I’m not to sure, I do think it was purposely done, and Since Zola and everyone else didn’t notice it wasn’t Alanna that’s giving me the feeling that maybe we do see the brown eyes to make us know it’s her? But then you could argue in past movies masks have been identical,and impossible to tell if it’s real or not. Then for Seeing if we pay attention it’s hard to tell if that was their goal when making it but it is a real possibility.
I did notice it, to be honest. Although I saw the movie once and couldn't remember every single detail, but didn't the machine that makes the fake/clone masks blow up somehow? (can't remember how). Maybe that's why the Alanna's mask was not 100% completed so it did not manage to have the blue eyes. I will have to watch the movie again to see if what I said is correct or if I missed out on something or misunderstood something. What do you think?
@wesamalaeldin7920 Well you are correct the Machine did brake down but When Benji tells Ethan it broke he says “it broke down while I was making your mask but Grace’s is complete” so the machine did manage to make Alanna’s mask, something I need to check is when Grace first tries it on when she looks at the mirror to check what eye colour is there. But I don’t think it was because the machine broke. But thanks for your thoughts!

My prediction for the end of Part 2. Many are suggesting that. Ethan will die at the end in some kind of heroic send off. I think it will likely appear that way. But I see a connection to the end of Ghost Protocol with Ethan hacking fakes his death and reconnecting with Julia.

I think Luther and Ethan have a bigger plan outside of everybody. Luther is Ethan‘s biggest teammate in this scenario and most trusted ally. I believe they talked in a secure place about what to do and we will find out more in part 2. I sadly think Luther will die saving everybody as he’s the only one that could destroy the AI potentially as he’s one of the best Hackers in the world

Good theory. Gabriel definitely could kill her, and to make sure she was before leaving the scene. The fact that he did neither, can mean he purposefully almost killed her. Or, just standard movie plot armor.

Are we absolutely 100% positive that Ilsa is dead? Given the discussion Ethan has with the crew re: the AI, there’s a basis for believing he rescued her but outwardly kept it that she was dead (Luther’s idea?, and she’s now with him in hiding) so AI would not use that in it’s calculations.
It's not bad but some stunts like the train cars. they only needed two to fall off the bridge. and the mention of the key like 75% of the time and no actual key recovery. I get it it's part 1.
Somehow I was left wanting for more. 5 and 6 were really great, with great story, actors and stunts. This one felt a bit pale compared to those but hopefully part 2 will do justice.

I super enjoyed this movie but this bad guy actor just isn’t my favorite. You could tell the woman that plays Elsa has to pull her movies give Gabriel time to get into his spot to attach where the right schedule at the end of follow out in the cabin was amazing and not going to lie I’m going back to watch it again. It was a great movie as all mission impossible movies but I really wish Elsa would of made it.
At least THIS action-thriller kept the idea that women are transient ephemeral "consumables" to be sampled for a limited time only, unlike the rest of such genres where the female is shoed-into the much larger shoes of lead male characters. Like the rest, once a "Ethan Huntress" replace Hunt/Cruise, it will be all-over for the series, much like the Bond series has flopped after it got "updated" with a Jane Bond.
I think they could have done the whole story in one movie. Have to say, it was clear that AI was involved but the beginning of the movie is confusing. Sounds like somehow, AI got aboard an enemy sub but it's not clear how/why an enemy sub had this silly key. There was also some attempts at comedy with the yellow car, not many laughs from the audience throughout the movie but they were trying hard for comedy in various scenes. I hope the last installment makes things more clear. This movie is a solid C in my view. Not what I was expecting.

This is my least favorite MI. Story super weak . Stunts can't compensate for lousy story. It's starting to get corny. They kill Rebecca Ferguson but I bet this is not the end . Wait for part 2. Not worth the money I spent to see it.
Love Tom Cruise but this movie's script was hot garbage. McGuffin typical spy plot and nothing special. Even the cameras they used shot far less iconic images than the other entries. Hope they fix it for part 2

I thought the ending wasn’t too cliffhangery enough.
Once the story is compleated with the next instalment the film could get 10 out of 10 but until then MI7 gets 7 out of 10

This is my least favorite MI. Story super weak . Stunts can't compensate for lousy story. It's starting to get corny. They kill Rebecca Ferguson but I bet this is not the end . Wait for part 2. Not worth the money I spent to see it.

That movie was too long, dated and the whole buzz is around the sTunTs, the script/writting/acting however? Weak af! Fallout was wayyy better!
Love Tom Cruise but this movie's script was hot garbage. McGuffin typical spy plot and nothing special. Even the cameras they used shot far less iconic images than the other entries. Hope they fix it for part 2
