This helped me realize that the vehicons are EXACTLY LIKE THE Clones from Star Wars and the Stormtroopers. They are not inherently evil or void of emotion, but are treated no better than a tool or weapon to be broken and discarded.
Jeremy Puhrmann which is why they suck. Clones were cool, but Vehicons were just a convenient way to save money, and it made prime boring. They were never a threat and just made the show feel stupid because there were no risks when fighting Vehicons
The Holiest Crusader yeah I feel like the autobots are more evil then the deceptions in this continuity, that may be extreme I know, but I mean they seem pretty sadistic when it comes to slaughtering the vehicons
It feels ironic that Megatron started with rebeling against being slaves, but then basically created a slave cast that he treats arguably worse than the councle treated their slaves

I think the fact that Optimus is much more lenient to vehicons, especially when he is on the Nemesis and politely asks all the vehicon s in his way too just lay down their arms because he is only looking for Megatron (though of course they don’t and he is forced to fight them, and was very much in a silent rage at that point) kinda shows how he is the only autobot who really tries to remain true to his morals, every other autobot sort of break the autobot code all the time, yet prime only does it rarely, and it seems to be whenever he’s raging All in all, Prime is still a great leader
I'd say he's still a great *person*, but as a leader he has responsibility for how his troops act. If his troops fail to uphold autobot code, then he as a leader has failed to uphold autobot code, because a leader is more than just a private person. I'm not going so far as to say that he is a bad leader, he's holding things together well considering how long the war has been wearing everyone down, but he is a better individual than a leader.
I mean, it's not like the remark about half his army being destroyed is because he actually cares about the Vehicons. Megatron is a warlord, and what is a warlord without soldiers to fight for him?
I feel like this is a classic example of how the heroes of a story tend to have the whole "Killing the main enemy is wrong because it would make you a murderer", while ignoring the mountains of dead minions they killed on their way to spare the antagonist.
Its sad because he got the most nerfed :( Bro got tortures by humans Embarrassed by airachnid Killed by airachnid ( twice ) Taken over by Silas Breakdown deserves some love
Arslan Aladeen That would be a possibility, if that visor thing on his left eye was on the right which is where Ratchet would have used a welding torch on him.
I have a theory about the real reason why they dropped in threat level and competency after the pilot. They were getting suicidal. Eons of tyranny have broken them to the point where they don't see any reason to live. They can't simply defect over to the Autobots because they're under the impression that even if Prime forgives, the others won't.
@@BlackLivesMatter23 One of the things that robots, naturally occurring or otherwise, have to live with every day, which is why my self esteem is so low.
15:14 is where my favourite part starts. So many Vehicons could've been so unique and different from each other, *despite* all looking the same! I think that would've been a fun dynamic! To keep the audience on our toes, to see if we recognize which Vehicon is which in a certain scene. Not exactly giving them names or anything, but like have "the two badass Vehicons" be in the middle of a bunch of _"useless Vehicons"_ and catch the Autobots by surprise, like "oh scrap, it's *those two."* They could show up occasionally and distinguish themselves by clearly being more confident, professional and "badass" compared to the rest of their peers, not by different looks or even names. Then they'd be the only two who manage to escape when their whole squad goes down. Or have the "tree Vehicon" actually be the most creative of the bunch and we'd recognizing him by seeing him deploy the most out of the box tactics in battle. Like, I dunno, hiding behind a storeroom and throwing a steamroller on the Autobots. Or shooting down some building's pillars so it falls _on top_ of the Autobots Or just say "screw it" and grab a rock and start beating an Autobot's face in, I dunno! XD
Yeah!! Really show the veterancy that even a vechicon would've had from years in battle! Would've been pretty fun to see! :D It's like seeing Storm troopers who are actually the competent and deadly ones compared to the crap newbies.
Would love to have an episode of the three meeting up for this first time and silently making a team trio, no voices, just a simple nod and bam, team up of the three most interesting and badass Vehicons in the show
First off FINALLY someone who actually knows that out of all the characters on the show Breakdown is the one who ACTUALLY cares about the Vehicons. And second I feel like Shadelock is probably that one miner vehicon that Ratchet tortured
26:03 Lazer beak IS his own character and I have proof. When ratchet is putting the bomb (or whatever it was) into lazerbeak, he realeases a distress signal. And soundwave, with the perfect chance to kill wheeljack, forgets abouts wheeljack to save lazerbeak. It's actually kinda cute

"When a Spark goes online, there is great joy. When one is extinguished, the universe weeps." -Rhinox, Beast Wars: Transformers, season 1 episode 15, "The Spark"
12:45 I'm a bit late to the party, but this makes me wonder if the Vehicons are not actually clones, but instead just a mass produced chassis model, since if it were possible to create artificial sparks, it would have been brought up already within the show, or any of its cannon. (I may be missing some key information here, but this is just a small idea/theory.)
in most continuities it seems that most bots were forced into castes based on their abilities back before the Decepticons and auto-bots formed. I haven't read the comics, but I've seen discussions of them. as such it's likely the vehicons were made to be a generalized workforce while heavier built transformers were used as demolitionists and heavier construction roles hence bulkhead having a wrecking ball in his hand instead of using a mace or hammer that he could carry around like the sword Optimus sometimes wields. both Optimus and Megatron who both had different names back then tried to change things. Optimus wanted peaceful reform, but Megatron felt such a plan doomed to failure after many protests and other actions were suppressed and started a revolution only to fall to the same corruption. the name Decepticon was even an insulting label the cybertronian government used for them that they embraced in a similar way to Tyrion Lannister embracing being called dwarf.
Well, the sparks themselves wouldn't be artificial. "Armada" gives the implication that all Vehicons are cloned from protoforms, Cybertronians formed from the Well of All Sparks without identities or personalities (and we know that the large majority of Cybertronians being born for many centuries prior to the Great War were like this), and that the Vehicons are clones made from these protoforms. The sparks are genuine, it's the bodies that are mass-produced. But your theory of a chassis template as opposed to a genetic template is very interesting. It actually makes sense if a body type was the basis for Vehicon cloning instead of a specific individual, as it not only explains their different voices and personalities, but also how there can be different types of Vehicons, like cars, jets and Miners.
Its incredible how transformers tends to be, if youd replace it with humans and make the main characters rip out guts and tear of arms while laughing youd certainly question if they were the good guys
Optimus is the best, an Autobot I can respect. He is not hypocritical and takes no joy in killing anyone (unlike the others), and he has shown that he prefers to not fight. He is a leader I would like to have

@@negancat3501 yeah like in the episode where he tells to starscream that he could be a great decepticon leader if he ended the war right now, not by surrender but instead becoming an ally.
Came back just to say. Imagine a Vehicon joining the Autobots during season one or two of Transformers prime. It could bring up some nice dramatic bits where some Autobots try to watch what they say or do around their Vehicon ally. It could also easily show that these poor cons are people too, who can choose to give up on the decepticon cause whenever they want.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't add a few defector Vehicons into the Autobots' ranks. And it's not like it would've been hard to write, with the Autobots being far more merciful and caring then the Decepticons. Just have, like, one scene of Optimus pulling up and saying _"stand down and do not resist"_ and then have a few Vehicons (like 2 or 3) actually duck with their hands covering their heads and surrender when the smoke clears! They've come to learn that Optimus is merciful, so they'd take their chances surrendering than fighting to their deaths, unlike their more fanatical peers. I think that could've been a really interesting thing to occur not regularly, but rarely, yet still common enough to add new "good guys" while also adressing that Vehicons are all people. Clones or not, they are different from each other. *Also, those two badasses from the pilot should've returned and become recurring main antagonists. Like the big bosses among the Vehicon troops, looking down on defectors and such.*

I think Starscream is actually being sincere when referring to vehicons as highly trained. I think that just in comparison to the autobots they're basically war heroes like Optimus Prime and the wreckers going against normal soldiers. Since Starscream saw zombie breakdown as a mindless threat he sincerely believed the vehicons could take him.
miners -> supporting bad guys = bad guys clones = bad guys servants -> supporting bad guys = bad guys the removal of visible emotions and personality makes the detachment of sympathy and empathy easier because theres less to think about. without faces, they lose individuality. they also lack the drastically different builds and colors. they are perceived as clones on a superficial level. you make a good point and I’m glad someone else noticed this.

For real though, breakdown is a real homie dude. Never really paid attention to that particular scene, but you bringing it out and making me realize it made me love breakdown much more. Thanks for that. Love that they make him a nice guy too within their ranks. Maybe other vehicons look up to him. I wouldn't be surprised if one night when all the field work is done, he calls all of them out and says "hey you guys worked pretty hard today, drinks on me" And all the vehicons just cheer as they clean up the place for tomorrow and they go to a bar somewhere in Iacon and enjoy their times there, and they grumble about work. They talk how much of a shitty right hand command starscream is. Man. Id love to see that. This idea's up for grabs yo. You can do whatever you want with it
Makes breakdown's story that much more tragic tho. I wonder if any of the vehicons mourned for their favorite squad leader, or got angry seeing how his body was used by humans.
Also, Breakdown never said that he was going to hurt Miko. Bulkhead just assumed. He knew Bulkhead was going to block that thing he threw at her, and I think he was going to make her his "pet" when he said that he was going to visit her. XD lol "What a nice, little human? I want it!"

21:35 It looks like that one insecticon gave them a small wave lol. I love the attention to detail in this show, and tbh if I was a vehicon I would probably play dead to.
the torture part stood out to me so much last time i watched prime. its then that i began to realize something was up with this entire series though. if efficient actions were taken, so many characters would have died.
Agreed. If the decepticons were a lot more like actual threats, then open ground combat would've been suicide against them. Like actual aim and damage, slowly seeing Team prime actually widdle down numbers, same with Decepticons also meeting their end. Would've made the tension a lot higher. Human characters would not be spared either.
Here’s the thing, in the first episode arcee and bumblebee could barely hold their own against two. Then by the end of the series they were beating down 15 each. They made them super strong in the first episode, but then made them cannon fodder later on.
Hm... I believe the reason why the Vehicon Miners in the Show are seen to be killed by the Autobots, despite the fact they are not allowed to hurt servant-class decepticons, I think has something to do with something similar in our reality. For example, Medics in WW2. During WW2 its a war crime for both US and Nazi germany as they are forbidden to kill Medics, but Medics are also equipped with firearms for self-defense purposes. When a Medic starts using their weapons (i.e. firing their weapon), they are now considered as Soldiers, not medics. In the Prime Show, whenever the Autobots invade any energon Mine, the Vehicon Miners always pulls out their weapons and fire upon the Autobots without hesitation which gives the Autobots the excuse to kill Vehicon Miners without second thoughts. But that’s just my speculation.
That would also explain why Optimus went to town on Ratchet. They couldn't see him run, but it was pretty obvious he was beaten. So that's inhumane treatment of a POW at least.
I had the same thought about that and scrolled down just to see if this had been pointed out yet. It just makes sense, that that's the reason why Optimus pointed that out. Then again, it does make me wonder why he specified "Servant Class" or "Vehicon Miner" rather than "Noncombatant," given the whole thing about Miner Vehicons still pulling guns on them.
@@ValkyrianPrime perhaps because it is the general category written in the protocol? I. E. An entity affiliated with the Decepticons belongs to the Servant class if their duties are non-combative. For me, Vehicon OCs are almost always the highlight of any fanfic that has them. They are a goldmine of potential for good writers and I just love them to bits. Considering how the Decepticons in at least some continuities started as a rebellion among lower class disposables, it becomes a cruel echo when the Decepticons themselves develop their even more faceless disposable class and I cheer every time a fanfic hints at the vehicons gearing up towards their own rebellion - even if it starts as something as seemingly insignificant as choosing their own names (and sometimes gender identity). As for why the vehicons have different voices while the Starscream clones all have Starscream's voice, I'm blaming it on the Starscream clones being brand spanking new, with no time to separate their identities from Starscream's identity and modding themselves. While the army does have a "dress code" of sorts to maintain a uniform look, a voice isn't *seen* and is unlikely to bother a superior as long as no one goes too far off spec. A voice to a robot would in all likelihood be some kind of synthesizer, and anyone who has played with vocaloids knows that you can get a pretty good range out of those. With limited identity options, I could imagine some vehicons spending quite a lot of their free time modifying their voices just to get *something* that is all their own. Also, while all are clones, it's unlikely that they are all cloned from the same person since they are as different as they are. There'd have to be at least two (a grounder and a flier) but I'd guess somewhere in the range of five originals, unless there really is some CNA mutation going on. Perhaps it was used as a reward to particularly skilled warriors that they'd be used as blueprints for one or a few batches of clones.
It's less like they're clones and more just easily mass-produced machines to serve as cannon fodder, it's why in the Fall of cybertron, lots of grunts sound the same but have slightly different parts, emphasizing the Mass produced to make the war longer angle. Of course they do have personalities and emotions as we do see that in the game with the autobots mourning the fallen, and putting the wounded into stasis pods because they can't spare the energon/resources to patch them up, reminding you that they're losing... badly.
i would have loved if the autobots could have recruited some of the vehicons, insecticons and other small factions as allies, that would have helped in the case that yes vehicons are important, they are sentient emotional beings and they deserve praise love and respect, and are also are capable fighters so yeah at least that is my opinion
This just proves to me that Soundwave is a master of patience, listen everyone talking bullsht on the radio 24/7 in silence and making sure everything keeps working
Here is a weird story. My brother and I made our own tf universe with a bunch of our own made up characters. One of my favorites of my own characters was a viacon. He had a whole backstory about how he crash landed on a distant planet. He was the only survivor on his ship. He fought with an autobot to survive. Eventually, he struck out on his own and renamed himself: Debris. After that, I grew to have a better respect for them. It is good to know someone else cares about them. P.S. those two first Viacons were my favorite characters from the whole show.
There was another instance of Breakdown showing concern for a Vehicon, the one who got his energon extracted by Starscream. He reached his arm out right before a new cut like he was concerned for the Vehicon's well-being.
I never really quite understand how the vehicons in the first episode and the convoy episode were so strong like that one genius vehicon picked up a tree and LITERALLY SMASHES OPTIMUS PRIME WITH IT. HE LITERALLY SMASHED A PRIME
My favorite autobot will always be Optimus Prime not by the movies however in prime, he shows that even in the hardest of conditions and battle, it's the strongest thing to be kind to an other person even if they are an enemy.
17:48 This is canon to me now. I feel like the bit about Autobots letting named Decepticons go is more an example of bad writing instead of actually Autobots being more hesitant.
I think it's interesting you bring this up, because in the comics we see that there is rampant prejudice on Cybertron regarding those who are forged from the All Spark (born from the energy of the planet) and those who are "cold constructed", meaning their bodies are manufactured by existing Cybertronians and they are embodied as needed. I feel like the Autobot mistreatment of the Vehicons might stem from the same cultural concepts of "do cold constructed bots have a "real" soul or not", which is explored in the comics a bit and you can read more on the TF Wiki if you want. But it definitely seems like a lot of Cybertronian culture was all around toxic; We see the hyper militarised attitude in Ultra Magnus when he shows up in the series, which evidently was drilled into a lot of bots who were deemed "worthy" of service to the Senate in Iacon, which is also where Orion Pax and Ratchet as well as Megatron were all based immediately pre-war. It's especially interesting that Ratchet (while hopped up on an inhibition lowering substance) tortures the Vehicon. It's generally depicted that what he's on is just bringing out the most extreme of what elements of his personality are already there; You'd think torturing a Vehicon might be at the very least a violation of his medical ethics programming, as it is implied in the wider lore that Ratchet was made specifically to be a medical bot with hands specifically suited to spot welding (the equivalent to stitches and suturing), and that there is somewhat of an imperative embedded in bots with a purpose (Functionism was a cultural, social, and political system on Cybertron). But instead, Ratchet immediately starts flash welding the poor Vehicon's face shield, no hesitation. It's worth noting that in the wider lore, empurata is a surgical procedure performed on bots who are seen to betray cultural norms or legal restrictions, resulting in the amputation of their hands and removal of their faces. So if those are the medical ethics Ratchet has, as that is the system he was created into on Cybertron and presumably that has an effect on his hard wiring/ethics protocols, no wonder he just jumps right in to torturing a perceived enemy bot. It also helps show why the Autobots are so revolutionary; While Megatron and Optimus both want the same thing (a new society with wider equity for all bots), Megatron was playing more into the expected role of his class on Cybertron, where Optimus rejected those methods and wanted more radical social change (not just political and cultural change). If Optimus is the lynchpin keeping the team's morals straight, and he has to convince a drugged out Ratchet not to BURN SOMEONE'S FACE OFF similar to the empurata procedures of punishment, it makes you wonder...
Yeah Cybertron was all f-ed There is so many forms of bigotry Even Orion was kinda racist( framecist?) to minicons, saying they are "un trust worthy" and he doesnt like them
Based on your analysis, the Autobots could have easily turned the Vehicons into Autobots by not treating them as disposable bots but as individual Cybertronians.
True but I think that they missed on a good opportunity to show vehibots, the autobot version of them being mass produced troops, and their side of the war.
There are two more vehicon classes in the aligned continuity: A Helicopter sniper class and a Tank brute/brawler class, both of them spawning from the Transformers Prime game, which is canon.
7:12 well since they are the grunts and Cannon fodder you don't build them with armor or complex mechanisms they were just mass produced as fast as possible. So it's pretty easy to kill them, that's also probably why they fear death so much because they can die so easily. I'm pretty sure some die from a big punch to the head in an episode but I cant confirm.
If it makes you feel better, there's a story in a app that there's a rogue vehicon left the decepticon and joined the autobots. He didn't have intention to kill his brethren but instead try to knock them down.
About starscream's silver troops, in legends he used to be a autobot scientist on a heavily defended station, perhaps the silver boys are starscream's old station defenders, considering they have the autobot color variant, this would make them veterans sense before the fall of cybotron making them very elite warriors that have seen a lot of combat. ( just a thought tho)
They pretty much like the clone trooper in Star Wars, they had feelings emotional etc. Main problem is that they on the villain side of the story, so they pretty much just subject to being fodder/whatever the writer want. If their situation was reverse, we would probably seen a some named one follow the main character and small named group that we watch like in Star Wars Clone War.
I absolutely love when there are characters like vehicons in a show. They're treated as merely punching bags for the heroes in actions scenes, but they still have their moments and their identity. I'm really fascinated about this concept of "it's just one of many", yet some of them have their unique personality and thoughts
Vehicons was introduced in the Beast Wars sequel series Beast Machines. They were sparkless Transformers army troopers, until Beast Wars Megatron gave a few of them sparks to make them his generals.
Awesome video. I think vehicons are too innocent to other decepticons and they just can't do anything besides just talking rude. I think this is cute that some vehicons are kind and some badass or like a tree vehicon XD

That makes sense, specially considering that if the Autobots killed every Vehicon they had come across by the time of the third season, the Nemesis would only have a fourth of it's crew still alive

War is the consequence of having different sides who consider that they differ in points of view about a certain situation, and also considerate they cannot live together in harmony, therefore, they appeal on violence to satisfy their objectives. But even in the most gruesome, terrorific and brutal of the battlefronts, I believe that the key to be a good soldier is to not take rejoice in the kills one produces. I also believe that's what makes the ideal of an autobot in war; just someone who is willing to protects others, and even if that involves violence, he or she should never enjoy taking a life. From I have seen here, the autobot who less violates that rule should be Optimus Prime. He takes the war as a serious task, not as a game, and does not rejoice in the kills he produces (because enjoying something like that is like taking a step further towards "the path of the darkside"). Is just became unfortunate he had to resolve things by sheer force. The ideal autobot should only kill when strictly necessary, or in self-defense. War mostly of the time is not just a plain good vs evil cases, instead, more of a scale of grayness, you can surely find really brutal warlords who are really power-hungry and want to conquer everything by any means necessary like Megatron, and in the other side of the spectrum you will find a vehicon who is just doing his duty. Is he doing it because he trusts the Decepticons´s warmonger cause or just because he was forced to accept it?. No one really knows with certainty. That´s my perspective. Incredible video from your part, I'm forwarding to see similar works of your person. PD: I really dislike too that common soldiers with badass designs are wasted as cannon fodder in most times, but, sometimes, I really think the fault comes from the "Stormtrooper Complex" and the typical plot armor, which standardized in most plots of fiction that in order to develop "heroes" in combat and make them capable of archiving their objectives, the opposing side must have a high casualty rate, and sometimes the enemy wins, but more because of external factors that harm severely the "heroes" (like a traitor in their ranks) or just by pure outnumbering. Is more or less a "necessary evil" in order to most stories to function properly, although I don´t believe it should be always the case. If I was part of the writing cast of the series, I would have maintained the conception of the vehicons of the first season and early episodes; not exactly as deadly as high-class decepticons such as Megatron, Starscream or Shockwave, but not cannon fodder a la Stormtrooper (who also suffer the same case but in SW). I would have tried to make them a possible threat to autobots, someone you know that is not exactly the game boss, but you cannot underestimate.
Here's the thing though, Megatron just appears as a tyrant because of Transformers's bad writing and need to try and paint the Decepticons as "villains" by any means necessary. Megatron and most of the Decepticons were from Kaon, where all the slaves and poor people were, and Megatron happened to be one of those slaves. Kaon sucked, there was no protesting and trying to reach people that would care, retaliating with aggression and violence was literally their only option to gain freedom. Cybertron's society was highly classist and sucked badly, and the Decepticons formed to change that. Not everything can be resolved peacefully, especially not when people don't even see you as a person.
@@commanderblargh6300 This is true. However, Megatron refused to align himself with Orion Pax after they talked with the council. When a peaceful option was provided. Megatron didn't take it and turned his back on a friend because he received praise while Megatron didn't.
Breakdown was the only one who somewhat cared about them yet (bear with me) Breakdown was also one of the only main Decepticon deaths in the show. It’d be funny if it’s like Taboo to care about the Drones and it makes you unlucky considering what happens to Breakdown throughout the show all the way until his death.
Star wars. Their basically the same thing. Copy and pasted "cannon fodder" that had personalities, people they cared about, and the will to live. But everyone sees them as nothing more then tools, but once in awhile there's 1 person that befriends them and they respect them. If I remember correctly there was a Jedi in the clone wars that did this and his group of clones named their group after him
@0:15 any one from the fandom when it aired knows damn well STEVE talked, all the way up till he was thrown off the ship by megatron, whom by the second one realized they weren't seekers
14:52 They probably received actual training and managed to fight well during the war, maybe they're aces or something, with this being the reason Starscream picked them and gave them the silver paint job.
I really did always wonder why the Vehicons were treated as cannon fodder and not actual sentient beings. The only time I can remember when it was brought up was when Ratchet tortured the miner-class one.
0:52 I would just like to point out that a great many decepticons whom the autobots faced had faces and expressed terror and pain, and it never stopped the Autobots laughing and killing them.
I have this habit of comparing the situations of TFP (and the Transformers story in general) to real-life wars, and nothing sparks up that thought process more than when I see the vehicons being killed like it's nothing. Whenever we talk about real wars, like for example WWII, we always remember the big players' names - much like how we emphasize that the named bots in the series get more attention and written as fleshed out characters because they *are* the highlight of the show. However, unlike real life, Vehicons that are killed in battle - or fake it - aren't recognized for their efforts in the war. Breakdown has always seemed to me like that one general who actually pays attention to the troops, even when not in battle. I agree when I first watched the show, I found that most vehicons were mostly comedic effect and as a moment to display the Autobot's badass-ery. But it hits different now that I watch the show with that mindset. Then again - this *is* a fictional story, with fictional characters in their own universe. However, if we can spot the humanity (er, human-like aspects) amongst the Autobots and Decepticons - who's to say that the Vehicons don't have the same qualities as the stars of the show?
Very well-written! That’s a very thoughtful comparison between Vehicons being overlooked and real-life small nations being overlooked in real wars. If I remember right, Africa was some involved in WWII, but who talks much about their efforts, or any heroic fighters from that region? That’s just like how Vehicons might accomplish significant goals - like rebuilding an entire SPACE BRIDGE - and still, did anyone pay attention to those Vehicons, or respect them more for their effort? I don’t expect people to treat every single character of a show, or all people in life, with their full attention and great emotional responses. Who is capable of doing that for every person? But it’s indeed interesting to me that this entire group of sentient beings are usually completely overlooked despite any major contributions they provide. Why prestige encourages more attention than the actual effort given.
I could see Vehicons having varying levels of skill, commitment to the cause and individuality. Some might be cowards just trying to stay alive, others might be fanatics keeping all others in line. Some might be weathered veterans while others might be fresh and inexperienced. Some might break regulations to give themselves and/or squadmates nicknames while others follow regs to the letter with no personal deviations allowed. I can also see a number of them being fatalistic due to being expendable clones, dark/gallows humor probably runs rampant among them. It would be interesting to have a little side plot episode of a trio of deserter vechicons (1 ground, 1 air and a miner) trying to escape a squad of fanatical vehicons.
It's also possible that there are multiple CNA templates that the Decepticons use to make Vehicons, so as to have enough biodiversity among them that a single strong pathogen won't kill all their troops. A real threat to any clone army.
Thank you for this. Vehicons are honestly one of my favorite transformers period, and I always hated how brutally the autobots would just slaughter them without remorse. Also, I miss Breakdown from Prime so friggin much, he was the best character in the entire franchise of Transformers. This video is another fine example of how Breakdown is the only true Autobot at heart. XD
I always knew that Vehicons are more then just clones. But the fact that one is named Steve, I better hope there's actually one called Gary (emgo316 Vehicon ) #vehiconlivesmatter
This helped me realize that the vehicons are EXACTLY LIKE THE Clones from Star Wars and the Stormtroopers. They are not inherently evil or void of emotion, but are treated no better than a tool or weapon to be broken and discarded.
Ya and they got stormtrooper aim
We just gotta get them a general who isn't Krell or Megatron.
In the end, they're just soldiers.

Or shooting down some building's pillars so it falls _on top_ of the Autobots
Or just say "screw it" and grab a rock and start beating an Autobot's face in, I dunno! XD

I rember hearing something similar about this.
@@wd3185

Came back just to say. Imagine a Vehicon joining the Autobots during season one or two of Transformers prime. It could bring up some nice dramatic bits where some Autobots try to watch what they say or do around their Vehicon ally. It could also easily show that these poor cons are people too, who can choose to give up on the decepticon cause whenever they want.
That would be adorable

I like this information :3
@@1rbdt when did that happen?
I had the same thought about that and scrolled down just to see if this had been pointed out yet. It just makes sense, that that's the reason why Optimus pointed that out. Then again, it does make me wonder why he specified "Servant Class" or "Vehicon Miner" rather than "Noncombatant," given the whole thing about Miner Vehicons still pulling guns on them.
@@ValkyrianPrime perhaps because it is the general category written in the protocol?

Of course they do have personalities and emotions as we do see that in the game with the autobots mourning the fallen, and putting the wounded into stasis pods because they can't spare the energon/resources to patch them up, reminding you that they're losing... badly.

Yeah Cybertron was all f-ed
There is so many forms of bigotry
Even Orion was kinda racist( framecist?) to minicons, saying they are "un trust worthy" and he doesnt like them
@@maloo897 Wasn't that a different show? So up to interpretation with that one.
Exactly!
Cold-constructs being identical makes more sense than mass-produced bodies looking different
I don't think the game is canon actually...
@kristopherprime9837 To be fair, the game should've been much more fleshed out then what it was.

They pretty much like the clone trooper in Star Wars, they had feelings emotional etc. Main problem is that they on the villain side of the story, so they pretty much just subject to being fodder/whatever the writer want.

I suspect that it's similar for Vehicons to Stormtroopers. One direct hit probably puts them in Stasis Lock, rather like how Stormtrooper armour will protect the wearer from a typical blaster bolt, but knock out the wearer.
(unlike Clone Armour, which partially protects from multiple hits)
That makes sense, specially considering that if the Autobots killed every Vehicon they had come across by the time of the third season, the Nemesis would only have a fourth of it's crew still alive
@@RexMK- Indeed. The actions of Silas probably killed more Vehicons (by reducing them to mindless Terrorcons) than the Autobots did.
@@jimtaylor294 Ironically this end up helping the Autobots because by the end of the series, the number of Vehicon trooper remaining on the ship was so low that the Aurobots were able to take over the ship with relative easy.
I most likely that without this horrendous incident the final battle would have taken a very different turn, in that scenario, the only possible way the Autobots could have "Win" was by detroying the Omega Lock (Again) but not being able to take the ship and/or kill Megatron and most likely loosing someone in the battle.
15:13 This "silver" Jet Vehicons were released as toys by Takara Tony in japan under a name of "Vehicon General", so technically that makes them better than standard ones because we don't have any reason to think that character description on the boxes are not canon.

Vehicons are some of the best looking. The first wave of vehicons to come out were such a pain to find sadly.
No one:
Megatron: Punches, kicks, blasts Optimus but he still stands
Vehicon: t re e yes
Element of surprise eh

Megatron: *"Take notes, **_Kaminoans."_*
Thank you for this. Vehicons are honestly one of my favorite transformers period, and I always hated how brutally the autobots would just slaughter them without remorse.
