- I'm SO excited to share my FIRST and BLIND playthrough of an Assassin's Creed game to the channel! This is my blind playthrough of AC 4 Black Flag! Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is the AC game I've been most excited to play! Bring on the pirates! After seeing so much hype for the new Assassin's Creed Shadows, I decided to finally jump into the series! This is my Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag gameplay, reaction, walkthrough, let's play, and playthrough!

When in a ship battle it really helps to spam the speed up and slow down buttons ... Helps aiming and you can turn quicker to avoid other ships and in coming shots.
I read a Pirate joke last week:
A pirate went to the doctor and said "I have moles on me back."
The doctor said "It's ok, they're benign."
The pirate replied "Count again, I think there be ten."
(If you enter the menu and access the Animus Database, select the Shanties and you can see the lyrics to each. Sadly, I don't know if it's possible to get the lyrics on-screen when the crew sings.)
Nice choice with the Red Sails. If you decide to change his outfit, the Brown Cloak and Privateer ones look really good.

Hi Liz! Don't forget, if you board a ship during a battle, the plunder will repair your ship! You can treat boarding like a mid-fight ship heal!
Chain boarding is sooooo good honestly lol there would be times I’d leave 2 or 3 ships ready to board and if I needed to heal mid fight with a brig I’d go board a ship and come back in the fight lol

You MUST remember to think in 3 dimensions. A spot on the map may be above or below you. Just because you are standing on solid ground doesn't mean there isn't a cave beneath you. Shanties will return to their original place if they fly away during a pursuit.

Little one you should attack the ships with rum and sugar and board them. The later ship upgrades are way more expensive and if you want make some money with your ship you need to collect way more rum and sugar. This recources are perfect for selling, 1 sugar is worth 20 R and 1 rum is worth 15 R. All other stuff is only worth 5 R. So make sure to plunder lots of sugar and rum and sell it.
When you beat the game there’s a DLC called Freedom cry which takes place 15 years after and you play as Adewale
As you’ve probably already realised by now the grind to upgrade the Jackdaw is real! Sorry to be SALTy but I’m glad you’re enjoying the game

ive never seen a random ship on fire that you could loot like that very cool, pro tip: when on a ship you can turn way faster by slowing down
I know I'm a bit late, but in case nobody has told you already, you actually CAN look up the sea shanties' lyrics in the database section on the pause menu, though with the constant sailing is just a matter of time before you memorize the best ones heheh also, STAIRS, GOAT, I don't remember the other secret words xd
I think there's a bit of artistic licence, ramming wasn't a tactic for sailing ships only galleys but the fights look fun. Good video as always

Holy crap, Liz. A whole fleet, all at once? You are one ornery pirate. Plus, at 38:08, the goat's hooves are not touching its shadow, which means it's hovering above the ground. So it's a Floaty Goat.

At 20min surrounded by ships, board a small one , it will fix your ship and give some time to re-orient yourself.
To turn faster slow down and then speed up, Like a handbrake turn. use the Mortars with the scope .
on land you mark a Bottle or chest it will show a marker in real world. Below or above you.

Yay you posted salt-y Liz. Just some gameplay tips and tricks- You can tag ships with your spyglass by pressing A when looking at them through it. The swords in the top left show if you have a hunter ship after you. You can use the mortar from long range by holding LB and aiming with right stick then RT, VERY effective for tough opponents. Always board defeated ships if you can, you get more loot and you can choose to either repair the Jackdaw or lower your wanted level. Rum and Sugar are good for selling, but you should keep animal items for upgrades to Edward. If you're having trouble finding things, look for a cave. I did 100% this one. My favourite AC game is Odyssey followed closely by Valhalla. Loving this playthrough, G'day from Australia mate. Arrrr. 🏴☠💖

re-watching the video. Yeah the Man-o Wars are cool but gotta do some grinding to be on their level and even then they can be pretty tough.

In the database, you can look up the sea shanties you have and see their lyrics. No method for having the lyrics appear on screen WHILE they're being sung, as far as I know.
Oh, this one was amazing. Many a merchant left feeling SALTy after your piratical spree near SALT island. 🙂 Oh, and IDK if this was answered already, but yeah, bracing definitely helps in reducing damage from attacks in sea battles. Not sure by how much, but it's a significant enough amount to make a difference in a hard fight. Shanties are real bangers, aren't they? A salty dog is a good drink. Gin and grapefruit juice with salt around the rim. It's funny how mixing two things that taste bad together makes something that tastes good.
Haha I've never had it but I believe it! Grapefruit juice is definitely bitter!
Salty dog is vodka. A greyhound with a salt rim.
@@efrat394 after consulting the internet both a salty dog and a greyhound can be made with either vodka or gin. Gin by the way is just flavored vodka.

You're never going to see me hating. Not my favorite thing to do. Plus, Respect! You're good! You laugh when I rage. That's the spirit of a hardcore gamer! I do hope you'll play Assassin's Creed Odyssey, id love to see you react to the storm physics and ship to ship battles with arrows and javelins. But I'm sure I will restart this game. For now, I sail with you, Captain.
I recall 100%ing this game back the year it first came out... being a Sid Meier's Pirates fan this had been the only game I'd been looking forward to that year. These days I'm not so sure I could repeat that feat as I'm a much older gamer now with not-so-nimble hands so I struggle with some of AC's parkour. Still love that sea-based gameplay, though, as I spent a fair amount of time on boats when I was younger... salt in the hair and sea legs and all that :P
A pirate walks into a bar, and he's got this steering wheel sticking out of his crotch, the bartender says hey what's with the wheel? and the pirate says back Arrrgh it's driving me nuts
Best shanty 🎶 is the one used in Dishonored 💀 (replacing sailor by whaler)

Good sailing matey!! When you’re in melee with a shop, hitting B will slow you down and make you more maneuverable so you can turn around on them quicker.

Big tip: You can't drop/hang on surfaces Edward can't normally climb from the bottom. It's basically a non-interactable surface. If there's no drop option in the top-right by the button controls, you likely can't. You'll either have to manually jump down or find another way down.
Also, you've got swords from bonus content unlocked in the general store. You can equip them there or in the Captain's Cabin. Just scroll down to the bottom of the list of swords and the ones you own have check marks next to them.

Remember that there are low profile and high profile actions. If you want to swing using a rope, it's a high profile action - hold the R1 button equivalent, IIRC. That's why Edward wasn't doing what you wanted, you weren't asking him to!

One of the tricks I use in big sea battles is I try to focus on disabling one ship and when my life gets low I board them and repair the jackdaw to give me more life to take down the others haha
