Kumbalgarh is located in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. It is one of the historhic cities of Mewar Dynesty and has a rich history connected to it. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built in 15th Century by Hindu Sisodiya Rajput Rana Kumbha of Mewar Dynesty. History of Kumbhalgarh fort is filled with rich heritage and multiple victories against Mughal and Other rulers between 15th and 17th Century but the fort has always remain impregnable. Kumbhalgarh fort is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap.
Kumbhalgarh fort is the second biggest fort of Rajasthan after Chittorgarh fort. Wall of Kumbhalgarh fort is 36 kms (22 miles) long and its the world's longest wall among all forts and 2nd longest wall in general after The Great Wall of China. Kumbhalgarh Fort was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013, at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
