Hey, Chris, just to correct you. You were in Sukhumvit district. It's not called Nana. Nana Plaza is just a specific place on 4th Street (Soi 4) off of Sukhumvit Blvd. Across from Nana Hotel. You were going all up the Sukhumvit Blvd saying it was Nana Plaza. Also, some of the street vendors are deaf and mute, that's why the calculator. And the women cover their faces bcuz they don't want their families to see them on TH-cam. They don't tell their family that they are part of the nightlife scene. Hopefully this helps you be more aware.
The shopping mall at the start is called Nana .The name was over the entrance.I think it had another name before .The BTS station is called Nana .So Nana is not just Soi 4 .

Did you stay in a condo and if so how was the contract agreement? I'm thinking of visiting for 3-6 months (12 if I absolutely have to). It'd be my first time solo traveling so I'm kinda new to all this, but very excited at the same time.

I was just there this past weekend.. Mind Blown! I am now winding down from traveling 24 hours to get back to America.. Glad that I went there to experience it.
I was wandering around the red light district, checking it all out. I turned onto Soi Cowboy, and EVERYONE just stared at me the whole way. This farang lady strolling on through, as you do. It had a strange vibe that night. It was so dead, I stood out more than all the neon signs. LOL.
Being on a public street and plying your trade is not the same as being on the internet and plying your trade. People don’t want friends/family to see how they are making a living. Many go to work in the big city because they know that no one they know will be there. Like the video but it gets a bit aggravating with the constant comments on people being concerned for their own well-being.
It's not about family, it's about government. It's absolutely illegal of them to sell these things. Police raid them often. Also, if it's on camera, they are in deep trouble

You should definitely go in the winter time, the weather is fantastic if you like the heat. I spent 3 months in Thailand (mostly Bangkok but also 2 weeks in Hua Hin) last winter and it was amazing.
The reason that the girls don't want to appear on camera is that they have families that won't approve of their chosen profession, should they learn of this. So be respectful of this despite being in a public place.
