i have 4 rescue cats at home. i had a similar incident with one of them as milky boy. he stayed in the pet clinic for 7 days and then with a cone for another 7 days. it has been a month since then and he has recovered well. he was also overweight and we were advised to put him on a diet to bring his weight down to the ideal weight. they are like people also. the heavier they are, the more prone they are to illnesses. in the cats’ case, they are prone to diabetes (kidney problems) and heart problems. so far, we have brought his weight down 200g. 800g to go. we cannot free feed our animals even if we think it is ok. if we truly love them, we discipline their food intake too.

My cat also had that illness. He almost died, but we means to be checked even we'v no exra budget, got credt with 10%interesta mo. . He was confined three days, the bill was 13k. Thank God he survived.

An airconditioned room is not the best place for them to stay, even though they might like the cool air. You need to do some grounding too Sir Basel. I hope magbago ng food si Basel para sa cats nya. Ang dami na kasing nagkaka-UTI dahil sa kibbles.... Kaya kami sa mga rescued cats namin talaga tyaga paggawa ng food. Super kaunti na lang yung kibbles na pinapakain namin sa kanila.
It’s definitely life-saving to have him evaluated and treated immediately for the UTI, because he would have sepsis that could have caused his life. The veterinarian was 100% correct. UTI is very, very painful both to humans and animals. He was miserable, it’s good that you took him immediately to the vet clinic. He needs antibiotics and hydration. Good job👍👍👍🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I think you should change their foods to low carb diet WET food instead of dry foods..senior cats loses their teeth too and they can't eat hard dry foods unlike before ....thanks for takingcare of milky boy.

I didn't have enough money to always bring him to the vet for consultations. He was just like that, unable to urinate, eat, or poop. He stayed by my side at first, and I knew he wouldn't last long. I told him that if he couldn't endure it anymore, he should rest, but I cried and cried because I knew he wouldn't last long. It's painful to lose a loved one, even if it's an animal-they are part of the family. Anyone with money would do everything to treat their pet. I think you should change their foods to low carb diet WET food instead of dry foods..senior cats loses their teeth too and they can't eat hard dry foods unlike before ....thanks for takingcare of milky boy.
