Thanks for your measured and thoughtful response. You clearly have a very objective and analytical mind.
Can I make one suggestion? The next time you try and troll a TH-camr, take a second to google/fact-check your insults. For example, if you look up “DMS,” you’ll find that you got the name wrong. This makes you seem impulsive and emotionally unregulated - which, I am certain, is FAR from the truth.

Alec Baldwin is acting a part to protect himself and his public image. The Police told him not to do interviews and to keep quiet until investigation was completed.
He did not listen to the Police and went forward to tell his version of the story which does not match up with story 2 eye witness who are sueing Alec Baldwin & Rust production company Armour & Assistant Director too.. Miami Mitchell script supervisor witnessed what happened and her story is very different from Alec Baldwin story.

Well the interview worked. I hate him even more mow than I did before the interview. The one thing I will never forget is when he blamed Halyna Hutchins in part for her own death. She told me to do it.
Yeah , he deserves a good lawsuit against all of his belongings for that statement . Halyna Hutchins family should own it all.
And do any of your remember what he said to his 11 year old daughter? He called her "a rude thoughtless little pig "
Alec cares only about himself. I hope he finds true love in prison. He should be very popular amongst all the guys in his cell block.

It is common for people who survive a disaster or a battlefield to feel shame and guilt. "Why was I spared and the others died? I could have done something. I should have done something. They deserved to live as much or more than I." It is a hallmark of responsible people that they are quick to accept a share of blame. Their first thought is what they could have done differently. The irresponsible are first in line to foist blame off on everyone else.

Baldwin lives in an irresponsible, fantasy world filled with fairy tales, unicorns and his lies. His interview suggests Hutchins and mechanical mysteries caused the homicide. The Hutchins family now lives in a world of sorrow, and grief as they watch closure get farther and farther away with each day. It is time for Baldwin to be treated as adults are, and not be given the same pass as a grade school child for negligent homicide. Baldwin feels sorrow for Baldwin and no one else. What Baldwin is doing is very, very sick.

Yeah...if your hand is touching the firearm. You are responsible. You should know if it's loaded, what it's loaded with&all actions and consequences that follow. Baldwin has been in movies with firearms since at least 1988 with Miami Blues, a movie with a poster, he had a firearm in his hand...in the poster. He's been around since before Brandon Lee, he's been in action movies since 1993. He has no excuse. You treat every weapon like it's a weapon, and that it can take life. End quote. You are responsible for everything that comes out that barrel. Period.

We got a guy in prison here for failing to empty and check his firearm after hunting and his hunting partner was killed as they pulled their guns out of the vehicle. Alec would be at the top of my list for requiring a full eval! I see some red flags that seem to exceed just a npd diagnosis, but without a proper eval it is hard to determine, but he definitely warrants a referral! So I advise to word it as something you are seeing is suggestive of......, rather than it coming off as an actual diagnosis! Just my 2 cents!

From all of his shenanigans over the years he doesn’t really have that great of a public reputation anyway. This incident just makes it worse. His PR team would both encourage, and coach the narrative. His best, and only hope, is in the court of public opinion. After this interview where is a jury not familiar with his case going to be found? No! This a calculation, and ABC is complicit! Whether they recognize it or not, ABC is going to be suspect in covering up for “its own” in the TV/movie industry. Baldwin’s recklessness was applauded when he mercilessly parodied a sitting, duly elected President (no matter what his personal opinion was). He stuck a ruthless neck out, and the “Industry” championed him. This is, truly, going to be interesting..

Let’s not play “benefit of the doubt “ here, or suffer the chronic ambivalence that plagues professional psychology, now. How could a man who is known for immaturity, reckless anger, and violent outbursts take responsibility for the consequences of his behavior? With Alec it’s always been “they deserved it”!, or “they caused it.” His father was a Marine Marksman, for crying out loud. Check his boyhood! Sooner or later with his fierce escalating assaults, it was almost inevitable, that someone was going to be seriously injured, or die at his hands. He certainly knew at a young age about guns! You know turning things around to be the victim, when they are actually the perpetrators is a hallmark narcissistic trait. He left that interview convinced he had “clean hands”.

Alec's father coached a shooting team (high school) for 28 years, the first 25 years of Alec's life. Alec discusses this in his "memoirs" and admits that he spent significant time on the range with his father. Then in the George "Softball" Stepho interview, Alec says some unnamed armorer (on an unamed film) early in his career ruined him for life (instructing him to never check a gun). That should have sounded wrong to Alec more than anyone. And then, what about the subsequent films (with armorers doing things differently? More like he learned from his dad? And other actors doing things the way Clooney says is normal: checking the gun?). That interview was miserable in its missed opportunities.
Anyone who has fired a 45-long colt cartridge knows the difference between blanks. Alec said the armorer spent most of the time showing him how to fake the recoil, as if that was the most important part of their "safety meeting." If he wasn't pulling the trigger, that gun would have likely flew out of his hand. He would have *instantly* known it wasn't a blank. But, he says it never occurred to him until someone told him an hour later that they recovered a slug.
This was a case of someone ignorant of guns (and anti gun) interviewing someone who wants everyone to be ignorant of guns (and anti gun). Softball Stepho missed tons of questions to ask. WHat's the name of that armorer who ruined Alec? WHat film was it? Let's hear from others who worked with that armorer. Did anyone else have that experience? (All "Softball" could muster was "what did you have for breakfast the morning of this tragic accident?").

I think it takes a special kind of arrogance to think that your words are so powerful that they can change the narrative of such a highly emotional situation. Even after a fair trial, the narrative around Kyle Rittenhouse didn’t change. But Alec thinks that by simply speaking, the world will simply comply with his wish to change the narrative? This isn’t his first rodeo.

The same public that accused Kyle Rittenhouse of "shedding white man's tears" (whatever that means - apparently, showing grief while being white is automatically disingenuous and racist nowadays) will gladly accept AB's "remorse without actual remorse" because of his long-standing political alignment.
It's really frightening to witness how much (and how quickly) our society regresses towards primitive tribal mentality, where "us versus them" narrative trumps basic facts. Kyle Rittenhouse's trial (and especially reactions to it's verdict) was a great example of how people who have the strongest oppinions are usually the ones who show the least interest in what actually happened.

We (my significant other) and I have had to deal in life, and in a legal situation, with someone who is somewhere on the personality disordered spectrum. (This person accuses many others of having NPD, so we are guessing there may have been a diagnosis there at one point of time.) Once you realize that they will repeat the same pattern of behavior, and that you will always be accused of what that person is actually doing, it became much easier to deal with. This person just can’t keep from talking and trying to convince others that they are the true victim and everyone else is at fault. We learned to just be quiet and take what was being said, and in the end, the true story would become apparent to others. It absolutely isn’t always easy to do, but overall it has helped us in court and has helped us to cut the drama out of our lives (as much as possible.) And yes, we’ve had therapy to help us with this. 🙂 Alec talking, reminds me of this. His need to be the victim, to make sure others don’t think badly of him or see a fault.

What I found thoroughly unbelievable was that the gun discharged - which in itself is going to produce not only a decent kickback but also a painful-to-the-ears amount of noise from a supposedly "empty" gun - and then immediately after is this guy who has a history of anger issues yelling at anyone over the gun being loaded? No indication of that so far. Immediately after a forceful/loud discharge of a supposedly empty gun his cinematographer that he was pointing the gun at collapses on the floor... Does he rush to her showing any concern? No.. he supposedly leaves the set and "doesn't even know for 45-60 minutes" that he actually shot her. None of that makes any sense to me.
I'm sorry, I never would be in that position of course - I would check the gun myself when it was handed to me - but even assuming I was somehow in that position, gun just discharged "accidentally" and someone directly in the path of a bullet, where the gun was aimed at, collapsed in front of me... I would instantly be concerned and if not actively helping her would be at her side yelling for someone to call 911, for anyone with medical experience, etc. I wouldn't be walking away as if nothing happened and be "shocked" an hour later to find out if shot & killed someone.
FFS, that entire story alone sounds ridiculous and unbelievable.

The way I see it, he is an experienced actor, he is used to controlling his responses in front of a camera and switching his emotions around. So I take it all with a grain of salt. I think this incident will change how things are done with firearms on film sets. Either they will move to using fake props, or the actors will educate themselves on how to check if the firearm is completely empty before filming the scene. Actors generally trust that the props they’re given are safe to use. I see that shifting going forward.

True, but to trust scene-gun-safety to whether an Actor educated himself properly on gun safety, or not, is a weak approach (Baldwin proves this by his ignorance and sloppiness/amateurness )...Fake props is the way for 100% safety ( so you pay few more thousand dollars for the sake of Safety...worth it...or, police/authorities on scene for each and every gun scene, though still in the hands of "" human error"...Props allow no error other than checking it IS a prop and not a real gun). Baldwin's was obviously a mistake, but 100% preventable if he had checked the gun prior to handling it...how about in 25 seconds? 35 seconds? worth it?

I feel like Alen Baldwin was prepared, or perhaps even couched for this interview. Reason being, the laws I have been able to research on the internet are specific about accidental discharges, and pulling the trigger. Not only that, he demonstrated feeling devastated over the incident, and specifically avoided saying that he felt guilt. This is important, because admitting guilt could get him convicted, and admitting pulling the trigger could possibly mean the difference between a federal charge vs a misdemeanor.
If I were a betting man, I would bet that his testimony in court will be almost identical to this interview.
Keep in mind, I am not an attorney myself, but to the best of my knowledge, and research on the topic, this seems probably in my personal opinion.

      @@darrylbaker5271
      @Darryl Baker
Saying that he would do things differently going forward is different than saying "No I don't feel guilty." Baldwin said he couldn't imagine doing another film that involved a fire arm, and he told George Stephanopoulus "No," he didn't feel guilty when the question was asked.
He also neither confirmed or denied that he didn't follow industry standards and shifted the blame to the person who trained him in handling fire arms on the set. In fact his comment about George Cloony's comment was that allot of people said things that didn't help the situation.
The biggest things that I have been able to that he admitted to, that he didn't seem to be shifting the blame to someone else, was that he had heard about another accidental shooting on the set. He claimed that he had only been talked to about the complaints the crew had about where they were staying, but there is a very brief moment where he mentions knowing about another accident. He also received and email on that.
I personally am disappointed that Alec Baldwin wasn't asked why he didn't go on strike after hearing about the earlier accidental shots, and receiving the email.

The way Alec was able to shed his tears is because he rubbed peppermint oils under and around his eyes. It is an old actors trick, you can clearly see this is what he did by the way his skin quickly reacts to the oils and turns red. His skin turns red only where he touched his eyes and his nose, he held his finger on his nose and it quickly turned red also.

I saw a narcissist suffering an egoic injury, feeling true pain for themselves. That can be cognitvely applied to other people who suffered loss in the process of the narcissist's loss. But, it's primarily about the narcissist losing control of their future, their reputation, etc. That can feel like death to a narcissist.

Baldwin, 63, had tweeted on Sept. 23, 2017, about Huntington Beach police officer Eric Esparza being caught on video shooting dead Dillan Tabares, 27, who’d punched him and reached for his gun.
“I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone,” the actor wrote of the police shooting that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office later ruled had been justified.
The tweet came back to haunt him this week after Baldwin accidentally shot dead his new film’s director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, 42, and injured its director, Joel Souza, 48, on the New Mexico set of “Rust.”

Nice spin about the whole Baldwin thing, but we should be more straightforward, base on FACTS...
    A) Any average person that KNOWS gun-safety/basic rules etc, would always check a gun thoroughly (how about in 20 seconds in this revolver's case..25 seconds? for the sake of safety?) before using it in ie "acting", no matter what anyone else said when handing it to him/her; if you are handling the gun in an acting situation ( Baldwin), you have an OBLIGATION (gun rules, not "set rules", not " Baldwin rules & protocols") to CHECK IT REGARDLESS of what your are/were told and regardless of anyone else's opinion on this subject ..
.B) That leaves Baldwin as 100% responsible for firing it loaded( not 100% for why it was loaded w/live round...to be investigated )
    C) Only other REMOTE POSSIBILITY which FBI can figure out, is was it an either faulty or modified gun, prompting it to shoot when it shouldn't do so (we know this is farfetched, but let authorities confirm it wasn't, 1st, assuming it wasn't)
    D) So ,BOTTOM LINE : anyone handling that same revolver Baldwin has, and with "normal gun-safety 101 rules being obeyed? ...it follows that that girl is alive and well today....Baldwin handling the gun ( zero gun-safety rules followed in terms of proper gun-rules, not "set rules" nor " Baldwin rules"?: girl dead, other guy injured and could have bee also killed( got lucky)
    E) and, this guy doesn't feel " guilty"...wow!!!! ...very measured words use by him in an "attempt" to not only lobby public opinion in his favor(didn't work), but to "protect" himself legally from accepting any "guilt" for his actions (I didn't pull the trigger..who put the live round there? someone else is to blame blablabla)....all this won't help him, because he over-talked beyond any legal advice.

    • @Gemvalue
      @Gemvalue 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) Does it matter who loaded the live round? sure it matters, but doesn't excuse Mr Baldwin from not CHECKING the gun first prior to his scene ("last man/user"...must check gun again)
      2) Does it matter who told him " cold gun"....sure matters, but up to the actual user in the acting scene ( Baldwin) to check the gun HIMSELF prior to using it in his scene
      3) If I go to a Gun Show and a gun dealer hands me a gun and tells me it is unloaded, am I going to take his word for it?... including if he points it around nonchalant as many dealers do, will I let him carelessly point it at me based on his world that unloaded?
      4) Baldwin trying to 'escape" by saying he was told " cold gun" , so he BLINDLY accepts that statement and handles the gun just on someone elses word ( whether he pulled the trigger or had pressure on the trigger ...more likely scenario...or faulty/modified gun) WITHOUT CHECKING WHAT IS LOADED IN IT... PRIOR TO HANDLING IT IN THE SCENE !!!...Not checking it is what killed the girl...not anything prior to that....ACCIDENT fine an accident no doubt, but 100% PREVENTABLE BY MR BALDWIN !!!...all he needed to do is know gun safety rules 101 and common sense related to gun-handling....

I imagine the day after the interview, Alec baldwin's lawyers were probably like, "see? We told you this wouldnt go over well. We werent advising you to avoid it out of some kind of effort or narcissistic desire to order you around; we are LITERALLY JUST people formally trained and experienced in the area of legal strategies and law who simply, despite how obvious this should have been to you (as it is to pretty much the rest of the world,
) was just not even acknowledged much less afforded the respect our experience should have reflected upon us."
Seems to me that the validity of the lawyers advice was so deliberatkyunnacknowledged that it had acknowledged pretty much everything in the universe that never had been.
In the world of a narcissist though, it seems pretty apparent that people who actually have the necessary experience to give solid advice, matters not at all, and certainly matters not even within the order of magnitude compared to the weight of a narcissist's own opinions and experience.
I feel like this case is teaching me so much about society that I never expected to learn.

Also, even if he "didn't know that he pulled the trigger", legally it doesn't really matter, he can still be a criminal, it doesn't become an accident just because he didn't know. It's just a different kind of crime, like negligent manslaughter or reckless manslaughter.
