Bumble Baylee the heart shaped makers are super fun and unique! I bought one a couple months ago and haven’t looked back. They’ve been so popular at cons, so if you ever want to look into something new, definitely consider it!
Love your time and effort of showing parts your days to your viewers. Baylee's next art video should be about hoarding button scrap papers, lol. Please be well and have fun.
I thought I was the only one who hated wearing ponytails for that exact same reason! I'm also the same with braids, so I only do Katniss side braids. Sadly side ponytails have long gone out of style -- wait, maybe not sadly in hindsight, nothing like a side ponytail to make you look like you're going to an 80s themed party. Holy crow, those price jumps between manual and automatic presses! At some of those prices, it seems like it would just make more sense to outsource? (Question mark because I've never made buttons nor outsourced buttons so I'm not sure the prices there.)
idk man, I've seen a lot of kids with side ponytails lately. Probably because of that Jojo Siwa kid, she also bought bows back in style, every kid and their mother has a bow.
@Bumble Baylee the paper problem is an excess of humidity. I live in a very humid place, and solved it by putting my paper in a plastic box with some silica gel packs. I even used to get vapor coming out of the printer! (well, it's a laser printer), and now that's not happening anymore. (and the paper doesn't bend that much either)
oh hey, I have that cheep red press that you slide from side to side. like the cheep ones you showed off aliexpress. I did a video about it. I have relevant information! the press pushes the buttons alright, but the parts that come with the press suck, as do the other parts I also got for cheep on ebay. I still had to find a decent place that would sell me good bits before I got any kind of respectable results.
I also have the cheap red one! I agree the parts are cheaply made (plastic) but it gets the job done. I want to invest in some metal parts and maybe the plastic ones will be for giveaways/free gift with each order. Also does your machine ever just kinda get stuck and not press anything? It's happened like 2 or 3 times before and when i take out the top metal thing that presses the buttons, I'll see bits of metal. Maybe I have a heavy hand? lol Usually when I clean it off it's able to press again though.
I'm not sure of the exact name of the part but you know how when you assemble the machine, there's that magnetic top part that slides into the machine body. I guess the top die part that actually presses onto the bottom pieces? Sometimes when the machine wont press buttons and I take that top part out, theres tiny bits of metal (that broke off from who knows where) preventing the press. It's super weird and I still don't know why it happens, but yeah just a heads up lol. I was freaking out the first time it happened.
nope, I've not had that. that's worrying tho. I love this little button press and I've convinced like three of my mates to buy one. I hope it isn't just going to stuff up.
Hi. You should look into cross border shipping companies for the button press. We have one in Victoria bc called seawings and if you can get free or cheaper shipping within the US you have it shipped to their US office and they will bring it across the border for you for a much cheaper fee. You have to pick it up and do the customs at the airport yourself but it's totally worth it.
I’m watching this while studying for my finals. (temporary death) I’m weird but I feel like I’m having a conversation with you 😂😂 Love your videos Baylee!
My mom got me my first Copic Sketch marker yesterday so I got N4 so I can shade sketches for practice. :) Your videos have been so helpful in me learning the best way to use them.
Would you be open to doing a "make your own set" type thing? People can pick like 5 or however many buttons for a slightly reduced price? I've just seen other artists do that at conventions.
For anyone considering a more expensive button making machine, it may be worth the investment. However, if you don't sell many buttons; the more expensive equipment may not pay for itself. Time is money; you only have so much time. If you can make buttons twice as fast or three times as fast with a better press, then that is essentially like making two to three times more money per hour. Plus, you have more time to work on art or other aspects of your business.
Your button video's always inspire me to create buttons for some reason, yet I never made any so far. But it inspires me to go make some art, which I love. Love your button video's hahaa
I love these types of research vlogs. I do the same thing with equipment for my channel but there’s something so cool about art channels . Great video 💕
I really wish I could get my hands on a set of your Harry Potter buttons. I’m a huge fan of both you and HP ❤️⚡️ But I live in the southeastern US, literally on the opposite side of the country from you 😩
So you sell these right? Is it possible for them to like copyright you or something since its from the adventure time show?? im assuming the rest are just your own artwork , they look super cool im just curious
Hey! love production business - y stuff. I think the New button press could be a great idea, time is money and the more time you save having to press buttons can go somewhere else. Also, I don't know if you've ever sold your button packs through Storenvy with your other art before, but that could be an additional place to sell buttons and make the time saver new button press a little more worth it, though then you have to do more shipping stuff which takes time. Guess it just depends on what you want to spend your time on. Love your videos!
Where did u get your buttons machine at ?? It's my new thing to try and I can't stop watching your videos either I love all of your videos you are my favorite TH-camr and my favorite biggest fan ever so wish I can meet you in real life I'm a artist I draw cartoon character for a long time now it's runs in my family
Curious I'm new to the button making How many should one make of each button for a con (Asking because I hope to have my first art booth next year and I'm preparing)
I really want a button press. Is there any chance, that those ones that you pointed out (about 100 USD) are shipped worldwide? Also if it's not too much work, what's the website again? 😅😅😅 have a great day tho
Yes, I do believe they are shipped worldwide (they come from China). But there are already 2 comments on this video from people who said they bought them and they weren't good.
OMGG!!! Before you buy on AliExpress (if you are going to that is haha) make sure it is a trusted seller!! High rated reviews, more than 10 purchases/orders, and they have a badge that qualifies them as a trusted seller. i mean it doesn't have to have ALL of those requirements but at least one or two..
Have you ever used a 3rd party printing company instead of printing from your own printer? Would you use Vistaprint for art prints like you do for business cards?
don't ever get those red tall ass button presses, the cheaper ones, they're crappy. I got one cause it was way more cheep, but it didn't even work and it was way too bulky and heavy. not good for taking places, even if it worked. returned it and got the one Bayls has and its so much better.
Those cheap button makers from China use different sized parts. I bought one and the metal cracked also. But the automatic ones look cool. Wish shipping was cheaper. 😀
I looked into getting just the kind of button press you have, but with the parts and the cutter and stuff it would be over 600€ and I'm already living on student loans lol, can't do it :D *conch voice* maybe someday...
What kind of printer do you use to print the images for your pins -- or do you go somewhere to have them professionally printed so as to save on ink? (I'm trying to figure out how people get so many images made when they print them at home without going through a million ink cartridges LOL)
I refill my cartridges myself using ink that is basically a dupe for this printer's ink. It comes in bulk, so it's dirt cheap. The printer is a Canon Pixma Pro 100.
Thank you so much!! This is super helpful actually; my current printer is on its last leg and needs to be replaced soon anyhow, so I have no qualms going with this ^_^ Would you mind sharing the ink dupe you use too? It'll probably be a while before I save up enough to hop into the pin-making world (I've wanted to for YEARS though, and ironically it was through your old pin-making video that you briefly showed the thumbnail of in this video where I initially found your channel! I've been a fan ever since! :D Your art is so unbelievably gorgeous; I can only hope one day my own might compare even a little bit ;)), but for when I do, it'd be great to have all the relevent helpful info all at the ready so I can do it the most cost effective way possible :)
Whenever a new button video is uploaded I get extremely excited. I love watching you make them ❤️
Baylee. They make. Heart shaped button makers. Just think about that lol
I know!! But I don't really want to introduce a second size. Maybe in the future.
and star shaped ones...but those and the heart ones tend to bend/warp slightly so round (or square) are usually better imo
Bumble Baylee the heart shaped makers are super fun and unique! I bought one a couple months ago and haven’t looked back. They’ve been so popular at cons, so if you ever want to look into something new, definitely consider it!
Wafflesex hey if you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours? I've been looking recently at them and haven't had much luck
If she would she would sell out fast =more panicking
Love your time and effort of showing parts your days to your viewers. Baylee's next art video should be about hoarding button scrap papers, lol. Please be well and have fun.
Absolutely LOVE your hair 😍 btw you have such a beautiful smile, makes me smile too 😊
Aww, thanks!

If I want to keep my buttons at their current price point, then I can't outsource. It's much cheaper for me to make them myself.
Ah, good to know!
idk man, I've seen a lot of kids with side ponytails lately. Probably because of that Jojo Siwa kid, she also bought bows back in style, every kid and their mother has a bow.
TheQueenDee True, But I don’t really like the bows and I don’t really like JOJO Siwa, That’s one reason why I love watching baylee!
Btw I hate JOJO siwa, And luckily the banned the bows from school!
@Bumble Baylee the paper problem is an excess of humidity. I live in a very humid place, and solved it by putting my paper in a plastic box with some silica gel packs. I haven't had that one happen to me. by bits of metal do you mean whole metal discs? or just chunks of what once was a metal disc?
I'm not sure of the exact name of the part but you know how when you assemble the machine, there's that magnetic top part that slides into the machine body. I guess the top die part that actually presses onto the bottom pieces?

*awkwardly edits out swear
Also, which size buttons do you make -- 1 inch?
1.25 inch
Baylee! You should write the size of your buttons on the listings on your storenvy!
Hi. You should look into cross border shipping companies for the button press. The press is from China. I have used cross-border services in the past for items from the US.
Those automatic presses are relaxing to watch
Petting the litty with a sock to protect your hand from scratches, GENIOUS.
Well, it won't help much! XD
Bumble Baylee rofl who needs hands anyways right?
when you needed that shot of daily baylee vlogs
*intro music intensifies*

I’m watching this while studying for my finals. (temporary death) I’m weird but I feel like I’m having a conversation with you 😂😂 Love your videos Baylee!
Lol that button machine was like "HERE! TAKE YOUR DAMN BUTTON" *tosses button on floor*
I thought the same thing . 🤯 LOL
My mom got me my first Copic Sketch marker yesterday so I got N4 so I can shade sketches for practice. :) Your videos have been so helpful in me learning the best way to use them.
u mentioned dnd and my ears perk up-so much fun!!! Hope they see your submission cuz its awesome!
Would you be open to doing a "make your own set" type thing? People can pick like 5 or however many buttons for a slightly reduced price? I've just seen other artists do that at conventions.
Yes, the buttons are $1 each or 6 for $5. They can choose any 6 they want.
For anyone considering a more expensive button making machine, it may be worth the investment. However, if you don't sell many buttons; the more expensive equipment may not pay for itself.

0:36 I can relate to this, Bailey.
Baylee your ponytail looked so good! 😍

I used to sell them online, but it's too much work to ship that many orders.
Watching you make buttons is so therapeutic for me 💓💓💓
hi baylee! I love you and your art!
Also Baylee love your channels sooo much I hope you do vlogs but whatever you feel comfortable with

Curious I'm new to the button making

yassss i love the button vlogs so much, BUTon STUFF vlogs are awesome
I just watched your other button videos and BAM this video come out :D Im soooo happy!
your hair today....AMAZINGGGG
Hi Baylee! What type of button machine are you using ? 😊
hehehe kiki in the bag was so cuteeee
with the amount of work you put in for a button i had no idea!! A real eye opener :)
how much do you sell buttons for?
$1 each or 6 for $5
Old printer's tip: The thicker the paper the less the ink will make it curl. Can check paper weight when buying paper.
May want to consider a new one as the press you have may start to hurt your wrist which would impact your craft. Yikes no not that.
FRIENDS!!!!!!! I freakin love that show
what size is your button press
I was just looking at these, I’m mad tempted!
OMGG!!! Before you buy on AliExpress (if you are going to that is haha) make sure it is a trusted seller!! Where do you buy your button parts? I need to buy some more soon and I like the parts you have 🤔🤔
People Power Press.
I really want to buy the buttons so bad! But sadly i live in Indonesia, and nobody is selling your buttons T~T
Hats off to your hard work👍
Hi Baylee, I Have A Question Where Do You Get Button Parts From?
Maybe the money you make at Anime North you can buy an automatic button maker?
i never watched friends but that lipstick for men bit was funny lol
I'm doing my first artist alleys ever this year and considered buying a button maker too...but holy $$$$$$$.....
Have you ever used a 3rd party printing company instead of printing from your own printer? Would you use Vistaprint for art prints like you do for business cards?
I am considering using Cat Print in the future.
that not your paper problem it is the ink is still wet when u get done printing it makes it do that it does that with cheap paper
I wish I could get some of your buttons, but I don’t get to go to any conventions :(
Same thing happened to me. I entered something that said notifications May 11 and I got nothing so I’m guessing they are late or didn’t get mine.
don't ever get those red tall ass button presses, the cheaper ones, they're crappy. I got one cause it was way more cheep, but it didn't even work and it was way too bulky and heavy. not good for taking places, even if it worked. returned it and got the one Bayls has and its so much better.
For some of the pins do you use the og art rather than fan art? Kinda like the Steven universe ones.
No, I drew all the designs myself.
Bumble Baylee wow they literally look so good
YAY con prep!
Button pressing looks so therapeutic holy crap
Baylee could you find another local artist to share costs with?
Baylee doesn't share.
Are you going to Disney expo this year?
There isn't one this year. It only happens every two years.
I love friends so much
Those cheap button makers from China use different sized parts. I bought one and the metal cracked also. But the automatic ones look cool. Wish shipping was cheaper. 😀
I just want all of your sailor moon buttons! Scratch that I just want all of your buttons!

i like that the expensive machine just chucks the button imfjskg
I don't have the coordination to make buttons with any speed. I'd be missing steps and wasting button parts.
I hope your submission went through ok.
Best wishes with the buttons.
I love u baylee and I love ur kitties 🐱💜
Yessssss friends
do you meen dungeons and dragons bye d and d
I love the new icon. So derp lol
Did you ever get one of the more expensive machines?
