    Thanks for the video. I have ordered a OEM for my 2021 cb1000r. Am looking forward to fitting it. Good tip re the rubber seal. Also, it would have been nice to see you do the left side of the bike instead of just the right but nevertheless thanks for this video. 😀

    Hiya and thanks!!! Yesterday I managed to change the air filter on my 2018 CB1000R (I fitted BMC) and wow what a struggle!! I have changed many filters but never any as difficult as this one, getting the airbox off without damaging any of the cables is a real challenge. Luckily it then went back on fairly easily phew.....

      Hey Simon, yes it was painfully to replace the filter, wish had the full recording, but like you said, putting it back was much easier. I think now that we've done it, next time will be easier. Not looking forward to clean that folder anything soon!!! I almost got the BMC one, but ended up with K&N, both great choices! Thanks for the support! 🙏🏾

    Hey man, i didn't know that we have to reuse the rubber seal thing until i find out about that in this video. Do you happen to know the part number or where i can buy those rubber seal for the air filter please ? link and direction will be appreciated

      Hi Doan, I do not know the part number, have you tried reaching out to Honda parts department? They might be able to find the part number for you and I’m sure you can order directly with them, or look online for a cheaper deal! Hope this helps. Thanks for supporting the channel ✌🏾

    Do you need a tune after the installation?

      Not necessary. It’s a simple swap. 🤙🏾

    i am at 19kkm so i am just about to replace mine as well... ordered an OEM one tho... had i noticed before this one from K&N is washable/reusable i would order that instead

    • @v79moto
      @v79moto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And you’ll probably get better performance, maybe nothing noticeable, just cleaner air to your engine! What other parts are you changing on the bike?

      @@v79moto Me being the limiting factor I am still on 2/3 power, so I expect no change in performance.
      What I upgraded/changed:
      I got myself those (overpriced) foldable+extendable levers from Puig, hoping it would help me switching to 2-finger squeeze. Not there yet tho, still mashing with 4 fingers.
      I also tried their windscreen (puig.tv/uploads/products/600007/0336/W/23246.jpg ), but ended up taking it off again, and now it's collecting dust somewhere. Money well wasted. :D
      Then I got the 12V accessory socket: japan.webike.net/products/23712915.html Having it delivered from Japan was actually significantly cheaper than any other option I could find.
      And I replaced the breadbox of an exhaust with a slip-on from CS Racing, mainly for the aestethics: th-cam.com/video/w-7MwG2AEKI/w-d-xo.html (Not me/my bike on the video.)

    jesusfkinchrist, i am sure next time it shall be easier, but it took me an hour... to hell with all those cables hooking the filter preventing it from coming out

      😂 I know, right? I struggled too, but putting everything back was much easier. I’m dreading having to clean that filter!!! 😅
