    This looks like it would be a great stretch for the hip flexors too. I must try it. I have tight hip flexors which gives me a bit of a pelvic tilt. My belts always sit way too low at the front!! Thanks from Canada!!!

      Hello again James. Yes it is a great stretch for the hip flexor. Since they are antagonistic muscles to the glute max then working the glutes actually helps to "relax" the hip flexors in the long term. Hip flexors Flex the hip and Glutes pull the hips into extension so any glute exercise is a way to counterbalance dominant and tight flexors.
      Also, when you are doing a typical hip flexor stretch, you can squeeze and engage the glute and you'll feel this intensify the stretch on the flexors. I have found this to be more helpful than getting into a deeper (and often incorrect) stretch.
      Since the belt is low at the front, yes you're right, sounds like Anterior Pelvic Tilt. So get some good glute exercises in and loosen up the hip flexors and quads with some form rolling and mobility.

      @@GStrength Thanks for the info. I started doing the exercise without using the rubber band and just push my hips forward while squeezing my glutes as you suggested. Amazing!!! I can really feel my front hip flexors "loosening" up. Thanks so much. I hear Spain is a lovely place. Canada has been hot this summer. I hope it is not too hot there. :)

    Im feeling it more in my quads than my glutes, what am I doing wrong?

      You Could try sitting on the heels with each rep and then thrusting out the position using the glutes to extend your hips. It could also be that your knees are too far forward..in the tall kneeling position make sure that your hip bone is directly over the knee i.e you could draw a straight line from the side of your hip to the side of your knee.
      You could finally try placing the top of the foot flat on the floor as opposed to flexing the toes. If these 3 tweaks don´t work, let me know and I can offer more suggestions
