I had anal cancer diagnosed in 2014. My treatment was surgery chemo and radiation. The radiation was done daily for a month. It was horrible. It worked though and I’ve been cancer free for 9 years. Best of luck to you.
@KarenMuirhead yes of course it was staged at 3B but one doc said cusp of being a 4? I don’t really know. The tumor was massive!!! The only reason I think it wasn’t a 4 is because it didn’t metastasize.
I wish you had continued talking, you're so friendly! It was very soothing listening to you, even though it was such dark news. I particularly enjoy long videos, so make as many as you want. We'll be here for the ride even when you're not so cheery. I can only imagine how everyday is a struggle, and sometimes venting can help. I was diagnosed a year ago with stage 3 Anal cancer. Had 10 rounds chemo and radiation 5 days a week for about 5 weeks, cancer is still gone. Was anal and 2 lymph nodes down there, all gone so far. Have had a few scans and nothing, even my gallstones were gone. Then had surgery to remove the dead leftovers.

My husband had anal cancer 5 years ago and was Ned for four and a half years. Then it returned. He haemorrhaged and was flown to the city, only to find out the cancer was back. Long story short, he had apr surgery, 5 infections, opened up 4 times and then sent home dressed and packed with a vacumm pump, that he carried around for 6 mon this. Then after the pump, I was packing and dressing for a further 6 months. He is still not completely healed and we are hoping it heals at some stage. Take care and love and light to you in the journey.

Honestly, I’m going to put the cooling gloves on and the footsie things for the neuropathy but for my head I’m probably gonna leave it be I get so cold so easy and not too worried about losing this hair
I had my drain for two months after the surgery! Also, for me as well the scans were not accurate at all and same as you the scan didn’t show anything, but I ended up with a huge mass not shortly after !
I will do a short video on the Natera kit I have. That way others can ask for it! Even my surgeon said it’s so new not many doctors know about it. I want everyone to know about early detection
Forgot to mention: 2 freaking months????? I think my body is starting to reject this thing? My butt cheek is so sore I even had to dig into the ol’ pain pills yesterday (my pill is for swelling & pain). It helped tremendously but I don’t want a pill to be the way I get through each day. How did you do it?
Even after two months it was still draining a lot, but my surgeon said there is no point of keeping it any longer and she said my body would absorb it. To be honest 6 months after surgery I still feel the numbness, so I guess I was really numb at the time and it didn’t hurt much, I had discomfort and it sure was bothering me, but not to the point to take pain killers. I hope they remove yours soon :) and I also wish you a speedy recovery
I have not got all the answers I would expect the doctors to have when I have inquired about the vaccine on this. I did make sure to get my kids the vaccination still, but one of the questions I had is if the parent has HPV then does it transfer to fetus during pregnancy? No one seems to know this.
This is the first anal squamos cell cancer vlog I have ever find. You are blessed to have been operable. Not myself personally, but waiting to see if Keytruda/pembrolizumab works. Taxol/Carboplatin is rough, but it halfed the size of the tumor and mets for the first 3-4 months until the cancer adapted to it. Thank you so much for sharing about that test. I worry Drs here overlook cancer too often, particularly after 2020. One in two people will experience cancer in their lifetime, all the more reason to be informed, vigilent and advocate for your health.
I couldn’t agree more. Keene updated on what works for you! I don’t have a tumor anymore I have smaller than a grain of rice sized bits alll in my lower cavity (assuming that’s where it is). I hope this chemo blasts the crap out of it!

Well, my husband got sick and I had to take care of him and didn't make ir keep any of my appts. He passed away in March and I will start back getting my health checkups again. Yes I went through that brutal treatment in the fall of 2021 this second time is left overs from what radiation didn't handle.

ET is in full fledge house crasher mode but I did in fact receive my 3rd belt. I have been trying to keep it on as often as possible.

I had/have MRSA & E Coli infection at surgery site for my Barbie Butt & the bulb helped to remove the excess fluids that were building up there.

Vaccination can orevent this , we vaccinate all kids age 13 where i live. Im so sorry you have to go through this.

Rectal bleeding, a feeling of fullness in my bottom area. Eventually pain and uncomfortable feeling down there

Well not exactly the only way to get anal cancer you can have only vaginal sex and still get HPV related anal cancer.
