This will be a HUGE game changer for the small/indie film community. The ability to use an iPad or ipad mini for your monitor, lightweight, battery self contained is EXACTLY what I was looking for when operating my gimbal. Sadly my iPad mini is too old for iPadOS 17. But purchasing a new or refurbished one may be worth it. I'll test the beta OS and the adapter on my 11" iPadPro first and see how it behaves. Thank you so much for making this video!

Couldnt we always use Second Screen App to Play PS4 games? I know this allows the ipad to be a second screen now with anything being hooked upto it using HDMI and a capture app. But a lot of videos only talk about being able to play games on it. When Second screen allowed this already. Am I wrong?
Amazing new feature, thank you for this video! How about the frame rate (60 or 120fps?) and latency? Do you feel like the DualSense's responsiveness is the same as when you play on your main monitor/TV? Thank you for your time! ✨

@@SoosRamirez1have you never bought a gaming TV before you sound ridiculous. One of the biggest reasons people buy screens is the latency of the screen and how fast the MS is.
I couldn’t find the capture pro app but i found similar ones that claim to do the same things. However, after connecting my ps5 to my iPad no signal is picked up (even though my ps5 is turned on). Anyone know how to fix this??

For Android you need to make sure HDCP is turned off on PS5. Just hook the capture card to android tablet and connect hdmi from capture card to PS5. Then using a usb camera app it will be recognized.
I have spent a good portion of the last 2 days trying to set this up and would like some help. I have been using my Nintendo SWitch, my IPad Pro 12.9, and the same Guermok Video capture card to connect my Switch to the IPad. I just keep getting the rainbow bar screen that you initially got when you initially connected your setup in the video. Except for me, I never get pass the rainbow bar screen. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables, 2 different video capture cards, a few different apps such as Orion, Camo, OBS etc,. But no matter what I use, I always get the rainbow colored bars. I have also tried setting it up on my Mac Studio and My MacBook Pro and it is the same results. I figured that it must be a setting within. My Nintendo Switch itself but no matter what I choose in the settings, it is always the Rainbow Bars screen as a result. I have watched so many videos and everyone seem to just plug and play with this setup. What am I missing?
These instructions worked perfectly. However, at least on my 2018 iPad Pro (not Apple Silicon) I was getting an unacceptable amount of video tearing just playing Diablo II Resurrected on my PS5. So, it’s back to the drawing board. Sigh! This had SO much potential.
As it turns out, all I had to do was cut the frame rate down to 30 FPS in the Capture Pro app and there was no more tearing in any game I tried, including Diablo II Resurrected but also the intro to Titanfall (didn't get to where I was engaging in actual combat), Ratchet and Clank, and Astro. I'd still be curious to see what happens with an M-series iPad Pro.
