1:33 In England, we refer to the transmission as everything after the flywheel to the driven axle. In North America, this generally refers to a lossy automatic gearbox.
I used to live about a 1/4 mile from Duane.and across the street from me was a big long gray area that during the summer months you could hear him or his 2 boys out playing around or doing some test and tune stuff.lol.they'd make a sound that the whole lil town could hear. And when the mud racing was going on it was a lot of fun.rode a few times with my son in law. Thanks Dune TV for putting someone on here I actually know.Duane, his two boys and everyone who races in Anita, and even the other local trscks, but the mud racing there was a blast. Wished I could see it doing the down and back there in Anita..lmao.you didn't run it in the corn field Duane.you ran it down the little waterway down by the creek down from your shop.i could hear you and your boys when you were testing and tuning
I used to live about 1/4 mile from Duane.when the do the mud racing his one boy runs a big bronco and his youngest runs about a 65 ford.dont know who builds his engines but he knows how to wheel these old trucks around
Yeah, I kind of blew it on that one. Actually with all his passes, it's mixed with his competitors engine noise. It sounds distinctly different that most of the turbos I'm around though. I really didn't ever hear the blow off valve go.
@@DuneTV1ViralMotorsports I used to live near Duane and know all about the down and back racing also.i was hearing this truck long before you guys ever seen it and his Fiat mud truck
Dennis, if your referring to Schuss Mountain Snow Challenge, they have a number of classes based on tire size, power adder or not, and a sportsman class and a utv class. The VW's usually fall in the tire class with a number of other buggy's. The buggy in the video is Chad Coker, operator of AppleTree Automotive which is a VW parts supplier.
Oh really???I used to live there also.i lived down the hill from him across from the storage units.hell I probably seen you there in town then haha.i used to live next door to Mike and Ruth. Mike has the body shop and I lived in the mobile home next door. I'm kinda surprised that 2 people have seen thise video and actually know Duane and live in the same small ass town haha
I'm not sure he knows, I asked a couple times, sounds like the dyno he was on was wheel based torque. Or maybe he was being elusive, but I doubt it. That whole Iowa group is very straight up people, like people out of the 50's. Very nice people.
@@DuneTV1ViralMotorsports you are correct about that.i lived about 1/4 mile from Duane.and I know his 2 boys also.he has his own heavy equipment company also.duanes a really nice guy to talk with
I mean seriously how u not gonna let us hear thst beast ??? Cool vid anyway. The Icelandic trucks not sure whst they r called. But they r super bad ass. Blow these guys away. I think anyway maybe not
I couldn't but thankyou tho she is very beautiful and my thoughts will be bad trying to tun from thinking like that trying to fallow JC. But good luck I personally i couldn't resist temptation is a B****.
This truck isn't made for the mud.you should se his and his boys mud trucks then.i know Duane personally.he lived 1/4 mile from me and they mud race in that town
Snoris last Icelandic formula off road car would smoke all of them trucks with ease especially if Snori was driving it. Cool machines really cool but they're too big, nitrous injected v8's. America desperately needs to import Icelandic formula off road, it's similar to the up hill rock bouncers only much better because these things walk on water as well as doing 10ft jumps at the top of the cliff faces they blast up. PLEASE AMERICA, IMPORT ICELANDIC FORMULA OFF ROAD PLEASE.
It would be another great motorsport for a great nation, just look at all of the different places they could run it would bring what Iceland is missing for me because it's mostly just lakes and volcanic sand with a bit of dirt. America has that and more with snow climbs huge mountainous sand dunes and unbelievable mudbogs. I really hope that people pick it up as a sport because it really takes good drivers to shine in it just like Snori. That kid could drive the wheels of his truck.
Probably not. Im familiar with Snori's truck, Duane had so much power he hadn't used yet. This truck is top notch and the guy driving it and his whole family and town seem to be able to wheel very well.
Nitrous injected v8's are pretty much a drag car setup but continuously flowing from start to fish, I'm not saying the car is rubbish because it's cool as but keep in mind to equal Snorris performance or come close to it he'd have to replicate his set-up I don't think drive shafts exist that could take the torque because of the weight of that vehicle to enable it to run huge paddle tyres to all four wheels which he'd have to do in order to get traction to keep up. Still it's an awesome beast of a vehicle and is most definitely no shrinking violet.
lol "being familiar with the challenges of dialing in twin turbo's in an offroad environment"...Not sure why you added that bullshit, and all this babble instead of listening to it run? Fail.
Sorry you didn't like it. I posted a crappy version on the facebook side for people like you, rude, poor taste, negative. It's tough to satisfy every kind of person there is on the internet. I'd paste the link, but I feel you'd just hate on that too. By the way, she knows what she's talking about, otherwise I wouldn't be working with her. Lots of twin turbo attempts in off road, this one runs on a first attempt.
1:33 In England, we refer to the transmission as everything after the flywheel to the driven axle. In North America, this generally refers to a lossy automatic gearbox.
Ok ?

Love the fact you run a Ford truck with a Ford engine.

You should see the mud racing then.i lived about 1/4 mile from him.just look up MUDHEAD RACING ANITA,IOWA

See what happens when you spend a little more on the good Ford parts? You kick the shit outa the competition!!!
That's what I'm talking about!
That thing is badass
Would have been nice to hear the sound of it. !

Is there a car? I saw only "una bella donna"
LOL, Yeah, I'm not sure too many saw the interview. She's a great lady and a great host, by the way, she wheels too!
The hostess is a Babe! 👍 😉
