I've been debating on this one for over a week and I literally just said to myself earlier "I wish Shelly would post a review so I can get off the fence!". OMG I finally found my Holy Grail after almost 10 years. I'm 51, dry skin, I hate anything that feels heavy. I have few small pores and minimal wrinkles so I'm not covering anything major except dark circles. I love this Nude Glow. Held up for my 12 hour shifts in the OR. To me its sunscreen smell and it goes away after a bit. All the young gals told me I was glowing. It's the first time I didn't want to scrub it off after putting it on. I used my fingers to apply it. Tried Iconic cream blush set the blush with It cosmetics translucent powder and a spritz of a new setting spray with green tea. Fingers crossed blush stays put now. Thank you for your review. I'm finally done looking for a foundation.
I’d love to see IT make a lightener that could be mixed in to their products to help correct for “right undertone/slightly too dark” situations. Since ideally it would be an “a dab’ll do ya” product, it should be able to work with any and all of their CCs and foundations. I remember Avon making one in the 70s. My mom used it.
That said, finish wise, this one is beautiful!

Hi Shelly! I love this new CC cream! I love the classic CC+ Cream and the Bye Bye Foundation, but the shade match was always off. Fair was too yellow, and Fair Light was too dark, so I took a gamble ordering Fair Beige, and it's a beautiful match! Toronto is still relatively crisp outside, but this has been wearing like a dream, and I think it will be the foundation I bring when I travel home in a few weeks to VA to visit my family. I found the scent in this product to be less intense than the CC+, but I love that it reminds me of lemon meringue. Haha! Thank you for another excellent review!

I love this cc cream it feels great on the skin, good coverage and beautiful finish! It wore very well too, which is super important for me I'm not a powder girl or touch-up girl either come to think of it lol

I've just rewatched this review, for hints on how best to prep my skin. With my regular (lightweight gel) moisturiser under the IT+ cc cream, my skin felt and looked a little dry. The coverage stayed well tho 😊 xx

Great review. Very helpful. 100% agree their shade range / that shade is dark for us pale princesses. When in doubt pick the lighter shade.

I love this stuff! I agree it is heavily fragranced, I wonder if that is to cover the spf smell (which I still kind of smell). But I love the light coverage, and that it’s lightweight enough that I feel like I can reapply throughout the day (for that spf protection) without looking cakey! 🙌🏻
I loved this too! It looks so pretty. You couldn’t see the product on my face. My skin just looked awesome. BUT if you are sensitive to American chemical sunscreens just know this made my eyes burn so bad. I was so hoping the small amount I used wouldn’t bother me but it did. I am going to experiment a little because I really love this. I honestly wish they would just stop with the sunscreens in foundation. We’re all educated enough to know we don’t depend on our foundation for protection. Good review Shelly! ❤️

I agree. I never could find a color match. Everything leaned either orange or gray. Hoping that they worked on their shades. I'm not one for scents in my foundation.

I don't have a sensitive nose either, but I didn't notice anywhere near the level of scent you did. Maybe because my application method is with a damp sponge?

Hi Shelly- I thought the foundation looked great on you!!! Seeing it on camera, it didn’t appear too dark at all. I don’t know where you live but it’s almost the first of May and still chilly??? I live in south TX and it is warm here but not nearly as warm as it usually is by now.
I absolutely love the butterfly palette you have where did you get it that looks like it be extremely helpful instead of just putting foundation on the back of my hand it's absolutely adorable I love butterflies as well it's making me want to start painting and being more creative

I had to give up Clarins products because they are very scented. The foundation looks great on you in daylight. I must say, you have beautiful skin.
I used the original CC cream for years - until i became irritated by someting, either the fragrance (I think it smells like fruity pebbles), chemical sunscreen or both. I wish they made a product with no fragrance and either no sunscreen or an only mineral one. They also run dark (i'm fair and have to use the fair shade, but not as fair as some, so pale ladies may have problem with their CC products).
IT Cosmetics original CC only contains mineral sunscreen, as does the shimmer version. This new one contains chemical sunscreen (and I think the matte version may as well).
@@StillPooh62 I honestly thought it was a combo mineral/chemical. It has to be the citrus peel oils/fragrance components and/or the niacinamide that irritates my eyes. (Chemical sunscreens of any kind also do the same thing for me).

I used to use the original CC years ago. I recently revisited it and bought the fair shade (lightest offered) and it is a little dark for me. Unfortunate, because though I’m very fair, I know there are people more fair than I am. There’s nothing for them. Due to this, I think I’m going to have to skip this one. 😕 It sure looks pretty on you.. but you do look a little “tanned”…. but in a good way!

I picked this up in light and it seems more medium which is disappointing, I will try it again in summer, but felt a bit heavy for my liking, don’t think it will be in my regular rotation
I ordered this when it first came out. I'm a big fan of IT Cosmetics. I also purchased the fair-light. I think it looked great but I couldn't just get over the scent.

I get happy every time you do a review!! When Jamie Kerns had the company, I really liked it. I hate to go back that far, also truly enjoy the Brushes and recently bought the heart shape foundation brush. It looks so beautiful. Clarins lift is amazing. beautiful color and so smooth!!
I will give you a trick for brushes that are overly scented: wash them with a neutral soap, I’m Puerto Rican and I use a soap called Zote( Mexican ) it’s a great soap and gentle enough to wash brushes- I use it on everything in my home 🏡- you can find the pink or white bar in the latino sector in markets and even in Amazon, after washing, put the brushes on the sun ☀️ the scent will fade. I hope it helps

The only success I've bad with It products is the brushes! They're wonderful. Knowing the tints never match for me + fragrance makes it even more of a no for me. It looks lovely on you though.

I love the look of this. I would have been surprised if you had given it less than an A. Looks beautiful and stood up to the test well by the looks of it. Ziva is so adorable. Have you ever watched Billi Speaks? I find it so intriguing watching a cat pressing buttons to say what it wants. And Billi's adorable (when she's not mad which is her favourite word).
I will have to look up Billi Speaks!! I follow Hunger 4 Words on IG, the dog that talks with the buttons! I think about trying it with my cats but I also think they would run my life if I could understand them and I question if I have time for that lol 😹
@@goow 🤣🤣🤣Aw I almost choked on my coffee reading that! So true. Can you imagine the demands they'd make? Our two have no buttons yet they can demand full body massages three times a day. And get it. Sweet Lord above my life would be over if they got buttons!! On a serious note, apparently if you can't commit the time to teaching them then they end up with terrible psychological issues. But I'm fascinated with the whole concept. Must check out Hunger 4 Words. When the cats aren't around of course! They'll be accusing me of cross-species cheating! I've already had that from them when the neighbours dog came to the fence for a back scratch. Two days. Never stopped giving out and throwing daggers. Yet it's not a problem when I talk to the house martins that have nested at the side of the house. Strange that.

I just tried this foundation as well.
I liked the initial finish and I actually got a pretty good color match, however, as an oily gal, I was an oil slick by the end of the day. Also, I lost a lot of coverage, my other products(blush, contour, etc)vanished, and I seemed to have some sort of reaction. My smile lines were bright red and burny by the time I washed it off. This was the only new product that I had been wearing so...☹ Interestingly enough, though, I didn't notice any fragrance and I AM sensitive to fragrance. Ah well. Back to Sephora it goes..

You look really nice with a little bit of a bronzed look! I’m probably around the same shade as you and got the new makeup forever foundation in the palest shade. It’s a good formula but makes me look ghostly, I always think of anything it’s better to go a shade darker than lighter.
Thanks for the fragrance warning on this one. I like some ITCosmetics products but heavy fragrance is a no-go for me. 🙁 The Flower Beauty bronzer and blush are my current faves as well, wore them last night out to dinner with friends. 😊 I agree with you on the foundation shade.

even though this was a bit darker than it sounded like it should be... it looks nice.. I have an issue with It cosmetics - it oxidizes on me and quickly! Ohhhh. Is that the new one? I picked up a new Neutrogena serum to review myself and let me tell you, it is one of the most beautiful dewy super hydrating products I've EVER used. It might even be better than my HG Milk SPF tint. And that one has more coverage, I'd say a true light buildable coverage. Highly recommend, especially if you have dry or dehydrated skin

I’ve tried to find a shade on this but it’s so yellow. Even the lightest is too dark for me. It cosmetics tends to run like that for me. So I just don’t have a shade in any of their complexion products.

I had the same problem but I saw online they expanded the shades so I ordered fair beige to review and for the FIRST time I THINK they'll have a shade that isn't too dark or yellow for me. Shall see...

What are the differences with this and the original.?
This one wears a bit more dewy on me than the original but not as dewy as the illuminating one - right in between. About the same levels of coverage for all three - maybe a smidge less with this one but very similar.
This foundation looks beautiful on your skin. Unfortunately I'm very sensitive to fragrance so I'll have to pass. Shame as it looks amazing ❤️

Hated the smell but it looked so good. I couldn’t make any of the shades sold in store work (and I’m not THAT light) so I ordered the porcelain from online and I’m waiting to see if that’s too light
I'm late to this video but was looking at review because I purchased this a few days and haven't tried it yet. Just watched a review before this one where someone commented that the sunscreen used in this product are 2 of the most toxic on the market. Im thinking about just returning it before I even try it.
I don't think the sunscreen actives in this product are great, as the US is very far behind the rest of the world in developing and approving sunscreen actives (which is why I prefer Korean and European sunscreens), but take what you hear with a grain of salt and a bit of research, and then make your own informed decision. Fear-mongering around sunscreen is trending on social media right now and getting a ton of clicks, so a lot of creators are jumping on that bandwagon. I checked the ingredients on this one and that review was probably talking about homosalate and octocrylene. Homosalate is typically used as a solvent for other sunscreen actives because it on its own isn't very strong. Lab studies have shown possible estrogenic effects from homosalate (endocrine disruption). Octocrylene can break down to contain trace amounts of a known carcinogen. Those things sound very alarming. I typically start with looking at how the EU treats any ingredient I'm questioning, as they are more strict in their regulations than the US. The EU allows both of these sunscreen actives as safe; the key difference is that the EU has a much lower percentage allowed than the US, and the US's 10% allowance is almost quadruple what the EU has deemed safe. Knowing that, are they ingredients you would want to avoid? If you'd rather buy US-made sunscreens, they can be hard to avoid as they're very common here. Your best bet would be to stick with mineral sunscreens instead of chemical sunscreens. Or, look at sunscreens made in Korea. They're the easiest to get in the US. (European-made formulas can be hard to buy here; I get mine when I travel to Ireland every year). Personally, I do choose to avoid homosalate and octocrylene in my primary sunscreens, but if it's in a makeup product that I don't wear often, such as testing this foundation, I will wear it (as the FDA does deem it safe). The one ingredient I avoid altogether is oxybenzone, another hormone disruptor that has been banned in EU sunscreens. My preferred sunscreen active is Bemotrizinol - commonly marketed as Tinosorb S and Escalol S. The US finally approved its use here in 2022 (though it has been approved in other parts of the world for almost 25 years). It is photostable and shows no estrogenic effects in in-vitro testing. However, it is harder to find here. It's common in Korean and European sunscreens, though. Yes the scent is wayyy too much for me . I got the wrong color . I chose light but light for this product isn’t light for me. It was more of a taupe color.. I gave it to my granddaughter !! I wish it wasn’t so scented!! I would’ve exchanged for other color!!

I have a hard time finding a shade light enough for my skin with IT cosmetics. I also have a VERY sensitive nose to fragrance... so this has to be a no for me. THANK YOU!!!
I also seem to struggle with shade match in this line. It seems that they have the shade names right, but the product doesn"t match the name, either too light or a little dark. Does the fragrance go away after a little while? I really do want to try this one. Thanks for the review.
Agreed, I notice many companies have completely different descriptions of beige. Sometimes it's warm peach and other times its cool. I ordered fair beige (since they FINALLY have my shade) so hopefully it's a good fairight cool toned shade

Hi Shelley, loved the review. What is the Clarins eye product you’ve been using? My under eyes look like a tic tac toe frame with lots of lines crossing in every direction 😬 I also have deep troughs. Ziva is a mommy’s girl she missed you and is like pay attention to me lol quit talking to yourself I have the same problem with it cosmetics the shade is never correct I like their brushes and blush though ❤️
Hi, is this worth the splurge and does it perform any better than wet n wild tinted hydrator, which i do like a lot (and is super affordable)?..
I would say between the two I still prefer the Wet n Wild, but part of that is I have no good shade match in IT Cosmetics. I enjoy IT stuff but I don't think there's anything special enough about it to buy it over the WnW if you already like that. They have skin care ingredients in it but their ingredient lists are always a mile long which makes me wonder how much skin care is really in there. So I'd say if you can get a free sample of the IT to try it, go for it, but the WnW is awesome and no real need to switch.
