I'm planning to grab a lighter shade in the Sephora sale, and there aren't too many foundations good enough that I have multiple shades of them, so.... for whatever that is worth! =D

Interesting ingredient list! I am dry at 65, but my skin hates retInol. I use an encapsulated one in my sunscreen (Irish fair dry skin) which isn’t too irritating, but Squalene, hyaluronic acid, glutamic acid, grape seed oil, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid work well. It has taken m years to find a skin care combo that works for me. Skin care is hard. The foundation looks good on you! I have huskies, so there are times a stray hair will attach itself to my face! Cute cat!
Ooooh I dream of having huskies!!! That's my dream dog. They'll probably be smarter than me but I will love the challenge! Someday when I don't travel as much....
@@goow they are WORK! Chewers, diggers, independent thinkers, escape artists, and I love them like crazy. Had huskies since age 14 and am 65. They are smarter than people for sure! They have me well trained.

Loving how Zeva has zero respect for the fact that you're making a video - my Tom cat likes to poke me in the background of mine, as well, so I feel your "pain" - LOL! I may have to check out that gloss because I like the shine and although I have MORE than enough foundations, who knows - maybe this one will find it's way into my collection, as well! The finish is terrific and I LOVE the "baby" - too cute! And Diva makes an appearance! Plus, this gets an "A" - I'm all over it! Thanks for this great review!!

Oh wow Charlie is so cute!!! This is my first viewing of him. I really like that foundation. I'm around the same age you, have the same need for reading glasses and a sweat proof foundation so hearing this gets your seal of approval means I gotta check it out. It's been getting raves but I don't trust most beauty TH-camrs.
I’m shade 5. I tried my finger tips and brush and you could see every pore and dry patch. I switched to a sponge. I also kept my normal skincare routine and it looks and wears so much better.

@@goow shade 5 is very yellow. It blends really nice with my neck but I wish it was just a little less yellow? (I’m a warm undertone) I’ve been considering going up to 7 or maybe mixing 5/7 together

Thanks for doing this one! I was considering this foundation….I have several other Saie products…glowy super gel and blushes…and love them. This shade looks great on you. I always check ingredients first, and this one passes my non pore-clogging requirement. Thanks for the great reviews….love the kitties!
I was super curious to see how this worked on you- I had to return mine- it looked like an oily mess on my face- I even tried it with a bare face- it was gone within a few hours. No idea what I did wrong.. I really wanted to like it…. I need to add that I can’t believe how different it looks on you- I think it looks great on you!!! I couldn’t build mine up at all- I’m sooo perplexed!!!
You probably did but I have to ask, did you give it a good shake before you used it? It's not a foundation I have used so I'm just merely curious since your experience was so different from Shellys.
I've seen a lot of people with combo to oily skin not like it at all - but they also have a big bit on their description about shaking it up well due to all the skin care in it, so I definitely shake it up more than usual (though I'm pretty good about shaking them all up anyway).
@@amandaf5664 When I started having issues and looking for tips on it shaking it was one of the things I made sure to do- which was easy to do since it was such a thin foundation.

To so funny how the color in bottle looks so dark yet on your skin, not as dark. Prob bc of lights but even though it’s dark, the finish looks so beautiful!!!! Tfs❤

I know my comment is a few months late, but I was looking for reviews specifically on this foundation. Regarding the shade--When Angie Hot and Flashy reviewed it, she noted that the color actually gets lighter as you blend it. She had bought 11 thinking it would be too dark, but it lightened as she applied and was a tad too light. 🤷♀️ Very strange! Thanks for the review! It's one of the few foundations that doesn't have ingredients I'm allergic to. 😢

Hi Shelly. It's a beautiful foundation, if you can find the right shade. I ordered #7, and it was too dark and peachy. I'm waiting for shade #5 to arrive.
It works even better if you warm it up on your fingertips.

I have ridiculously dark inner eye troughs. I have always thought they were quite aging on me, and they make me look "tired." I tried the hyaluronic fillers and they were so beautiful! I really liked the way the filler plumped my troughs and hid the darkness. But my body metabolized the filler within days. Tried a second injection and it was gone again in a few days. If I could keep the filler, I would have kept doing it in my troughs because I really loved the results. I agree, the dark inner tear troughs are my evil nemesis.
Wow I'd be so bummed finding something that works that just won't stay put! I can see myself trying that because they're only getting more sunken as I get older.

Hi Shelley I have been curious about this one as it has been getting really mixed reviews. I have super dry skin with rosacea and eczema, so I need something moisturising. My most used foundation is the Mac F&B as it never looks dry/cakey on my skin, whereas others can give me trouble. I have finally found a way to wear some of the other foundations I have though, after a lot of trial and error. My mum gave me a 15ml size of the bobbi brown vitamin enriched face base. I wouldn't use it as a moisturiser on my highly reactive skin (due to all the fragrance/EO's), but over skincare and spf I tried it as a primer - made a huge difference to how my makeup sat on my face all day (my skin was no longer sucking every vestige of moisture from my foundation, despite the other primers I was using). This is really moisturising and allowed my makeup to look better. I was worried about using all the fragrance with my rosacea, but wouldn't you know Revolution has just released a dupe called superbase vitamin face primer. It's very similar in texture/performance and is fragrance free (plus it's a lot cheaper). It's also working well for me thankfully. I have to confess I like the smell of the bobbi brown, but I know my skin would rebel in time so I'm thankful to have found an alternative. I might look at this Saie one depending on the shades available it may be an option (you know how much trouble I have getting a shade match lol). Best wishes.
Hi Loraine!! I've been wanting to try that Revolution dupe! The Vitamin Enriched Face Base has been a long-time favorite of mine.
@@goow It’s worth a try and I think it’s doing the same thing for me, but it’s not quite as luxurious lol. I only recommend for dry skin though as it has a lot of shea butter in it. You might like it better in the colder months but I can wear it during Spring without any issues however as stated I am super dry. Perhaps you can use it on any peeling skin etc to smooth it down? Worth a try x

This foundation gives you a beautiful glow. Looks amazing! How would you compare this foundation to the Haus Labs foundation? I can't for the love of me find a decent shade in the Haus Labs foundation but I LOOOVVE how beautiful it looks on me. I'm wondering if perhaps this foundation could be in the same running as the Haus Labs. What do you think?
Definitely the same running in terms of how much I like them! The Haus is a little bit higher coverage on me and a little bit less dewy, but really choosing between them is a matter of what coverage/finish I'm in the mood for that day because they're both gorgeous and feel great on my skin.

Okay.. so consider this... you match your hand to your face... fine.. I get the concept... that being said... how often do we walk around displaying our backs of our hands directly next to our faces? We DON'T! At least not on a regular basis... our hands are usually in motion , and are far enough away from our faces that I can pretty much say that I doubt whether ANYONE is saying to themselves upon meeting you say, when you get that infamous sandwich, or stop somewhere else, "oh wow! Her face does not match her HANDS!"!!!
You looked fine from where we all sit in the peanut gallery! It really was a pretty finish for you!

lol Ziva definitely approved 😹 I started showing my hand in videos because I used to pull the neck of my shirt down to show my neck and I was getting comments about that being "inappropriate" which.... honestly I rolled my eyes at because it's not like I was showing my bra or anything more than my decolletage... but I switched to my hand anyway... lol. Personally I typically match to my forearms in the winter and my shoulders in the summer, since my neck is always winter-white and never gets sun, and my arms do get a shade or so of color the rest of the year.

I must be Dense as I was thinking there are folks out here who actually believe that the hand face connection is noticeable! I knew what you were doing but thought others might not! Omg! Whoa! That shade looked like it would work on my medium latin girl skin lol..but ok, it blended nice..i do think a deeper shade on you is more flattering and gives better sunspot correction. IMO😊
The sun spot coverage is definitely an upside!! I've been playing around with picking the lightest light shades instead of the darkest fair shades lately. I think as my skin ages, the paler shades make issues more noticable.

I honestly think that humans were put on this earth to be bridges and perches for cats - or at least the cats believe that to be true. Ours cry at me to go over to the fridge and bend over so they can jump on my back and then onto the chair. They absolutely CAN do it themselves if they could be bothered but why bother when you have an eejit of a human willing to do it for you!! And I am that eejit.

The foundation looks good on you, I’m not buying this one as I have mature oily skin so I don’t think this would stay long on my skin.
Yeah my guess is it's probably a pass for oily or combo skin. Ziva and Charlie are definitely glued to my side nearly every minute. Right now Charlie is in between my keyboard and the computer monitor, and Ziva is less than 3 feet away on the chair next to me.
What spf would you recommend for adult acne prone skin? TIA
My skin isn't acne prone so I can't speak from direct experience on that, but I really like the Good Molecules SPF 30. It wears well under makeup without a white cast, and they say it is non-comedogenic and safe for acne-prone skin. Have you tasted the sale Concealer and if so did you taste with the foundation I have heard mixed things about them but I was interested in trying both 19:45

Honestly, I think it might’ve given you more coverage because it’s a darker shade. Darker foundations will actually cover my rosacea. 😬
I've been playing around with going for the lightest light shade instead of the darkest fair shades lately. They seem to cover more up and I seem to be needing that more and more!
How did it hold up as a concealer?
Coverage faded a bit but I had zero issues with it settling into lines or breaking up. So I'd say good enough to skip regular concealer!

Tried to get a hair off my chin the other day….nothing would work… turns out , of course it was attached… that makes 5 of those course black ones 😂😂 I’m about to buy beard oil 😂 I look like a damn catfish…. Which is what I used to call my mom 😂 Not so damn funny now
Oh gosh! It happens to us all unfortunately, my mom now looks like how I remember my grandmother and I'm starting to slow decline down the hill to old age as well which is why I've started wearing foundation and needing to watch reviews. I never needed foundation before, or eyebrow products? Where the heck did my eyebrows go??? 😂It isn't fair. 😢

Today I was filming a foundation review (but it's not like I don't look in my 10x mirror every single day, right?.....) so I'm filming, and I go to brush a hair off my face, and... it won't go away.... because it's a giant like 4-inch long hair growing out of the MIDDLE OF MY FOREHEAD. omg. So now I need to know - did I somehow just not notice a hair growing out of the middle of my freaking forehead for as long as it took to get THAT long??? Or is there some bionic mutant warp speed hair growth thing that made that thing sprout out of my face??? oy. This whole aging thing is not for the faint of heart! 😂
