      It really didn't penetrate the flesh but it provide great smacking while cracking the shells open. I've since cut slits in the bottom side which allows the dipping sauce to season the flesh. Hope this helps.

    Well it surprises me with 707 subscribers 80 views and no comments. I've been busy so I waited to tell you what a nice presentation of Dungeness crab. I want you to check out this product aura outdoor products, it's called ed kettle zone cooking system, put that in site's search. I got in on the introduction, this is just like kamato joe divide and conquer on one level it is very well made nice addition for the performer. Always good to see new cooks, your cook's are great and your video is very well done.

      Hey John, Believe it or not, I just saw your recommendation for the 22” kettle. This thing looks amazing. I checked it out on Amazon and it’s going for $99. I’m going to order and give it a shot. What a cool way to reinvent an already awesome Weber kettle. Stay tuned.

    • @johnknapp6328
      @johnknapp6328 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dski Grillz you will really like it. I use firering similar to weber smokey mountain gets long burn time. Very heavy duty grate. I picked up cajun bandit stainless extension ring its reversable and can use on kettle or wsm. That way you can do whole turkey. I will sometimes put 1qt stainless dog bowl in middle of coals in coal ring adds moisture for certain cooks. I think anyone that acquires one will like it.

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Knapp Can’t wait to try it..From the videos I’ve seen I was wondering if there is enough space from the diffuser plate to the top grate to keep the bottom of the meat from cooking to quickly? My thought is to use a foil drip pan as a barrier and add water. Have you ran across any issues like this using the kettle zone?

    • @johnknapp6328
      @johnknapp6328 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DskiGrillz no issues the ceramic does not resonate heat like steel plate, there seems to be plenty of room for drip pan, I have used aluminum pizza pan with tin foil for easy clean up. Its like a nice convection set up.

    Good job! Keep it up!
    I would use fresh herbs and lemon juice instead. Fresh garlic, oregano, parsley makes all the difference. However, good quality crabb is most important.
