You said this before and it was so true. I have an x70 and have an itch to upgrade, but its so hard to find something which is an upgrade in most aspects which is isn't breaching way over 300K. My x70 is a third car only used for long distance, and just finding it very difficult to justify an upgrade to a harrier/lexus/Range type vehicle with what the x70 offers for the price.
@@sentuhankecundang7351 Nope, I still owned the 2019 X70 CBU and loving it till now. Yes, a lot of comments on FB page but tbh just take really good care of it and the car will serve you well. I still do the traditional warm up every morning, light on the foot, and service when is due.
At the time of launch dash cams weren’t a big thing, I liked that the designers were thoughtful enough to allow a USB port near the rear view mirror. That was what differentiates people-oriented products.
This car would sell in Singapore. Hope to see Proton back in Singapore again. You can see many motorists in Singapore driving Made in China cars BYD and MG SUVs.
Hey Bobby, Im actually made an appointment to book an X70 Exec 2WD today and was scrolling through these past few days for owner reviews. This video however had put more confidence into me in making my decisions. Thanks Bobby!! ❤
Yes bro, good choice and you won't regret it. I still owned the 2019 X70. I have read the comments on the FB page but tbh so far my car no issues (touch wood). Just take really good care of it and the car will do the same in return. It's already 5 years and I am still loving it.
The conjoining lines at 17:17 is the moulding parting lines. The Chinese moulding technology has improved so much and surpassed many other nations thus they are able to do such a finishing. PS : I am from the moulding sector 😅
Bobby, it's really great 👍 for you to revisit the X70 after 5 yrs to check if it's still relevant vs today's landscape. In the end, you gave it another thumb's up. To answer your question.....if we could find another SUV matching it, at this price point. NO.....is the straight answer! The overall design looks dated now needs a new model soon, perhaps?
I own x70 since 2021. What can i say im happy with it. Of course this car is not perfect. But the money that i paid and the value that i got, it is worth. Im thinking to buy the new FL if one day i just want to let it go.
I love the car so much especially the NVH and suspension setup but the biggest deal breaker for me was the seats. I’m 174cm but couldn’t find a comfortable seating position and seems like I wasn’t the only one facing this problem.
I hate my porsche seats too ... but everyone around me praises them to no end, everyone love it except me .... im still struggling to find a seating position that wouldn't sore me
The 1.8 is gonna be discontinued soon actually... Been in few... Soft and refined... This is what actually consumers want.. Not big ass rims, stiff suspension and all that
I drive a Perodua Bezza in Singapore. I will change to the X70 without a blink of an eye, if Proton is back in Singapore. I am tempted to bring the car in myself. Great car for its price. You DON'T get such features in other cars at its price. Malaysians should be proud that Malaysia is producing great cars nowadays.
4 years of ownership and reaching 360k mileage, still going strong. Always thinking of upgrading, but to upgrade and finding worth for what I paid is very difficult. HAHAHAH! I can go to new harrier but the price is reaching 300k. Oh ya, the new X90 looks tempting for the specs. Also interested in the new Tiggo 8 Pro, but they're newly launched and still have doubt about it.
I dare say quite high. Ask around in the group they're mostly between 100-200k mileage. If u want comfort for fmly definitely x70, wait for upcoming facelift this year@@syahmiyusop

Had an issue with the big blind spot around the wing mirrors. Cannot see the kerb when going around roundabouts. Only in x90 the mirrors have been repositioned to address this.
It isn't perfect (then again nothing is), but for the money I paid I'm certainly not complaining. Based on the experience I had so far with this car, I might be seriously tempted if they rebadge the Tugella esp if they keep the 2.0 turbo engine. Yum yum.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia if x70 is such a good car, they should increase production and sell to neighbouring countries. I think it can't be done because it is a geely model and proton might only authorise to sell x70 in Malaysia.
Yes it is higher against the most efficient ones but it's not crazy. Small engines when pushed hard will consume more fuel than big engines. But daily smooth driving small engines will use less than big engines.
Haven't been in the back seat much but it seems true because my family complained same thing before. Also the seats/car height is very high, so it's an issue for elders to get onto the car. Wouldn't recommend for people who wanna get it to fetch elders with mobility issue. All else is okay. Boot space feels limited (trade off for more leg space for back seat).
I Go To Suspension Specialist And Ask Them To Make The Suspension Less Stiff, Now My X70 Is Solid And No More Bumpy, If You Live At KL, You Can Go To Reiber Auto

Plus carryover old engine with detuned hp and torque for better FC. Not to mention skip spare tyre
