- Today, the 19th of November 2023, was rhe Finchley running day. It featured mainly the classic routemasters, but also had a VLW recently bought from Sullivan. The duty was originally meant to be by DLA23 but this vehicle replaced it. A Stagecoach ALX400 and T8 also came, on route 263.
This is VLW85 and is actually really healthy for its age. It was a hoover with Sullivan but was quickly fixed after preservation. Here it is getting floored on the 221 on its first and second runs on the route. It’s unfortunately kickdown disabled but it was still nice!

I wouldn’t say awful at sullivan, it was just that the cooling fans were permanently on. Its been quite healthy otherwise!

I rode the last 221 and 29 on VLW85. This bus does indeed has kickdown enabled but it was only working in 1st gear. The ride on VLW85 was nice other then a few bus enthusiast causing problems.
