*FIRST DAY + Loud* Bus Journey On 157 | Go-Ahead London Wright Gemini 2 B9TL (LX11FJK, WVL432)

Today, December 2nd 2023, marks the first day of route 157 operating witb Go-Ahead London. It’s temporarily using WVLs from the D7 and a few E buses from wherever until new Enviro 400 EV Cities are ready for the route. This particular WVL was actually really nice and there was very little soundproofing making for the engine being pretty loud.
The performance of the route was absolutely horrible due to a lot of traffic. On average you could expect a bus to easily be over 30 minutes late, some reaching 1hr+. 157 is very long so it’s not easy to manage!

Traffic was only bad due to an RTC at Manor Road N, meaning all traffic diverted via Carshalton High Street & North Street, which is already narrow and/or has rail bridge works

Plus there was an event at Carshalton Ponds making it even worse , 127 151 and 157 all had lots of curtailments
