    The year they played this Robert was 59, Jimmy was 63 and John Paul was 61. They sound just like they did in their early 20's. Jason did a great job on the drums; I'm sure his father was smiling from the other side.

    I believe Robert Plant was 59 years old at this time, in 2007.
    In my opinion, he never stopped improving. His vocals in this performance are truly incredible!

    I saw these guys in the '70s with Bonham and have to say out of all the live versions this concert is their best concert ever. When they were young you could see their energy on stage. Now they are older and it's like a fine wine it ages so well. Jason fills in for his dad so well. I guess having John teach his son makes it awesome. Jason also knows every song in detail. Jones had said that in an interview. When the band wanted to play again Jason had to try out like everyone. John and Jones were the backbones of Zeppelin. When they started practicing for the concert Jason actually knew every beat which amazed Jones and the others.

    • @jaynethomas7380
      @jaynethomas7380 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason has every black market video ever made of Zep. When they were rehearsing, for Celebration day, Jimmy would be trying to remember something and Jason would say, when you were in Japan in 71 you played it this way. So his knowledge was a big help when rehearsing. And I believe he's using his dad's original drum kit. ❤️

    On keyboards is John Paul Jones and he is "NO" fill in, he is the original everything, plays bass, keyboards, back up vocals, plays a mean mandolin, him and Jason are the backbone of this song. It amazes me he can keep playing like that throughout the whole song and never miss a note or lose the beat, like a machine.

    Kashmir is the place in which the band imagines they are conversing with the old local prophets, about revelations and the coming of the Messiah.
    The sun burns, the sand dries their face.
    Led Zeppelin are in a dreamlike delirium, in a mystical reality. The revelation will then become a prayer, an invocation, awaiting a direction.

The man at the keyboard as you call him is John Paul Jones, founding member of Led Zep :-))) and yes, on the drums sits the son of John Bonham. He learned from the best and is really good. By the way, Puff Daddy played a cover of Kashmir together with Jimmy Page and it's called "Come with me" and was made for the Godzilla soundtrack. Age keeps being brought up. Fine, In this 2007 concert Plant is 59, Jones and Page both 63, Jason Bonham (John's son) was 32. After a few slightly embarrassing reunion appearances, they knew their reputation was in question. They made the mark and stood their ground from 1968 to 1980. They owed it to themselves AND us of the elder generation to prove, ONCE and FOR ALL why Led Zeppelin WAS the greatest band EVER. They rehearsed and rehearsed, put together a setlist that spanned the decade they owned, and nailed it! Could they have gone out on tour and conquered the world once again? Sure, but why? They've done it. The soul of the band was buried in 1980 when John died. This 2007 concert was their swansong. Be thankful the performance was captured on video as evidence proving that Led Zeppelin was the best!

      I saw LZ in 1970 but I don't remember anything. 🤔🤷‍♀️😜 Now I'm seeing Robert & Alison on July 8/23. I plan on remembering and loving every moment. ❤️

    This is one of my favorite LZ songs, and yes, this performance is epic. Usually I don't care much for live performances versus studio. But it seems that LZ, no matter their age, always delivers the goods on stage.

    Here’s the thing about Robert Plant .. he’s never retired . He’s still singing , collaborating and keeping his mad skills as a vocalist
