This is heartwarming. But Jason is not in any way, shape, or form a replacement for his dad. It would be exactly the same as watching Jordan's son play ball and saying he's just like MJ. No.
@@eriklarson9137 I don’t believe I said he was a replacement for his dad! Why make a comparison ? He did a great job ! You are being petty and pathetic!
It's like watching Dhani Harrison at the George tribute concerts. You feel there's a sense of passing the torch on. Not the same drummer, nowhere near, but he did a phenomenal job and it was really heartwarming to see him there.
My older sister saw Zeppelin in ‘77. I was in Jr. High - just a bit too late to go to Seattle with her to see them. I had a button on my jacket though, lol.
This song was written when Plant & Page drove through the Sahara Desert on their way to a music festival. Their experience meeting the people along the way, the people were living in like another time. They couldn’t understand each other’s language, but the music brought them together. It really has nothing to do with Kashmir, I think the name just fit better. Plant fell in love with Morocco, & still visits there often. Their trip through the desert seemed endless, & it all looked the same, & fascinating. This is the song all four band members were most proud of, the timing & layers make it a masterpiece. Page & Plant toured together in the 90’s using musicians from those regions. This is one reason they are the greatest band ever. 20 million ticket requests for the 20,000 seats at this concert. Delve even deeper in to Led Zeppelin, your mind will be blown away. Thank you for your reaction.
@@jss27560 I’m guessing they picked the name Kashmir, maybe sounded more lyrical. They were crossing part of the Sahara on their way to Morocco, I guess Morocco wouldn’t roll off the tongue as easy.
Note for John Paul Jones (the person they always leave out when talking of the band) he not only plays bass, he is on dual keyboards on this piece AND he is their arranger as well so a lot of the composed sound comes from his keeping the beat moving as well as adding the extra notes to fill in the song.
One thing too about older bands..you said you couldn't believe he still sounds great. These generations (70s and 80's) they didn't have auto-tune. You HAD to be great live.
I was blessed, saw Led Zeppelin live in 1971, an unforgettable experience. I am considered a senior citizen nowadays, lol, but little do people know who see me with gray hair and aching bones behind a shopping cart at the store, that their music is in my heart, soul and bones. When I play their music, I am a teenager again, eager for life to begin, and trust me, I play their music every day 😂
Yeah ditto man, i saw them in 71 too, Aching bones aside, we did not know how rich we were musically in those days, but one thing we do know now, and that is how the kids today missed out on something really really special.
You and me both. I also saw them in the 70s. And creeping up on 70 myself. Recently reviving my vinyl collection. And playing them on the turntable my kids bought me. Through my original 1978 system. Sounds great though.
They broke up in 1980 when the drummer, John Bonham, died. The drummer in this performance is Jason Bonham, John's son. His father would be proud. He's doing one helluva job here. They are in their 60's in this video. And sound/perform great. Love this video. Thank you. My favorite too.

Kashmir single-handedly one of the all time best rock songs. Period. As is Led Zeppelin in general. Never saw them live like my best friend did, but glad I was able to see Page&Plant live together with him some years ago
"Come with Me" is a song recorded by the American rapper Puff Daddy, featuring English guitarist Jimmy Page, from the soundtrack to the 1998 film, Godzilla. The song samples the 1975 Led Zeppelin song "Kashmir". Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and producer Tom Morello also supplied live guitar parts, with Morello also playing bass on the song. The song also features heavy orchestral elements.
Those opening bars that repeat through the whole song have to be among the greatest bits in the history of music. Like what even is comparable for its effect?

Your comment is so true. I thought Credence Clearwater Revival were say “There’s the bathroom on the right” instead it was “ There’s a bad moon on the right”. Lmoa! I thought that for years in the 70’s until finally a friend laughed and corrected me.
The song was originally called "Driving to Morocco" and, because the track runs for more than 8 minutes, some radio stations were reluctant to play it, but changed their tune once the music became so successful. The lyrics were written by Plant in 1973 immediately after Led Zeppelin's 1973 US tour. None of the group members had visited Kashmir. Instead, Plant was inspired during a drive through a desolate desert area of southern Morocco. So while the song is called "Kashmir," it's actually about a journey, which at the time was in Morocco, with the final destination of that journey being Kashmir. Peace out.
If you want something completely different check out “All of my Love “ . It’s a tribute to Robert Plants son Karac who died from complications from a stomach virus at 5 years old. It is beautiful ❤
Black, THANK YOU! I have been wishing for you to witness this Epic performance from the Greatest Rock Band Ever! Zeppelin gives you 100 different sounds…not one song sounds a like!
I can very easily say that Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time! U can pick any album and listen to it front to back without ever wanting to change the song! I know how much u like doing live stuff, but I highly recommend listening to the studio version as well! A few of my favorites by them are What is and what should never be, All of my love, Going to California, When the levee breaks, Heatbreaker, Ramble on, & D'yer Mak'er! Robert Plant also has amazing solo music too! Big log, Ship of fools, and In the mood are a few good ones!
You are seeing an older Led Zeppelin performing together for the first time in decades! This was a "one off" show and only 20,000 lucky insiders got to attend. When you get a chance, watch the whole performance from the beginning. It's called "A Celebration" for which they released a DVD. However, there the whole show is somewhere on TH-cam.
Hey BP, remember when you were talking about time signatures, especially in the Chad Smith Drumeo when he figured out The Kill was in 3 time? Kashmir is a great song with multiple time signatures. The drums are in 4/4. 4 beats to a bar, 4 bars to a line. The guitars are in 3/4. One less note per bar. The drums and guitar only line up every 12th - which is what gives this song its amazing groove.
This is my all-time favorite Led Zeppelin song out of all their songs, including stairway to Heaven, To me Stairway is number two. I just love Kashmir!!!!
@@tomhiggins875, I still for the life of me don't know why so many people dislike Stairway to Heaven. Most people I know say they dislike it because it is overplayed. It is overplayed because of how great it is. You don't have to put it down because you dislike it.
U WOULD LOVE "DAZED AND CONFUSED". Did you know all 9 of Led Zeppelin's Albums hit the Billboard top 10 and 6 of them went to number 1.....it don't get no better than that !!!
The drums are in 4/4 while the guitar is in 3/4. 4/4 is 4 beats per bar, 4 bars to a line. 3/4 is one less beat per bar. That is why this song grooves so much. They only synch up every 12th.
John Paul Jones is also playing base pedals as well as the the melody, riff and the background eastern fill . Just an incredible performance , this is what you get when people learn their craft before they get in the studio .
Long after Led Zep 4 album, from whence xame Black Dog, the mighty Zep put together an epic double vinyl called Physical Graffiti. Kashmir, Trampked Underfoot and the epic In My Time of Dying arrived on that album. It's still one of the finest albums ever created in the workd of rock. Glad you're feeling the Vibe
The guy playing the drums is the original drummer John Bonhams son Jason after the drummer died Led Zeppelin broke up because they said nobody else was good enough to play drums for them again
This is one of their biggest songs. Robert still has it because he went solo and still sings today in the UK. This whole concert is great. Thanks for reacting to this ❤❤❤❤
Now please, please if you haven’t already, do Heart singing Stairway to Heaven live at the Kennedy centre in tribute to Led Zeppelin who are there to be honoured. You won’t be disappointed!!! 🇨🇦🖖🏻
LED ZEPPELIN! KASHMIR! Yes yes yes whooooaaaaaa!!! This is the song that the band would like to be remembered by. I think it is a masterpiece. They have many. Led Zeppelin is so diverse in their music that you can’t pigeonhole them by listening to only a few songs. Kashmir is from their 5th studio album Physical Graffiti. 1975 release date. The reason you know that riff is because Diddy, them Puff Daddy, used it in his song Come With Me, featured in the soundtrack of the movie Godzilla. Jimmy Page consented for the song to be used but, he had to have a lot of artistic control. Jimmy also played lead guitar in the song. Jimmy Page is the founder of Led Zeppelin, and is the keeper of the flame. Nobody, but nobody, can use Led Zeppelin music in any way, shape, or form without Jimmy saying yes. With Led Zeppelin, sometimes the meaning is in your face, like Whole Lotta Love. Most of the time it is to be interpreted by each listener. Their music is emotional, and hits the soul. There is so much to say about Led Zeppelin. Short version: Best Ever Rock Band. Best guitarist, best drummer, best bass/keyboards, best vocalist. I’ve been a fan since 1969 with the release of Led Zeppelin I. I am still listening to their music every day, all these decades later.
Look at the drumsticks Jason is playing with. They each have a black band on them. They are his dad’s drumsticks. Must listen to Highway to Heaven if you haven’t yet. Then watch Heart perform the song for Led Zeppelin’s induction to the Kennedy center. If you go down the rabbit hole you’ll never want to climb out.
Can’t believe that happened. Had just watched a video with Michael Landon on Johnny Carson about his cancer diagnosis. Of course it’s Stairway. Thanks for pointing it out.
This is the ONLY concert a reunited Led Zeppelin performed after the band stopped in 1980 at the height of their success due to the death of the drummer, John Bonham (Bonzo). For this concert drums are played by John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham. It was reported that when tickets went on sale and sold out, among those who were too late to get a ticket some offered $100,000 for a ticket on the scalping market. Note that in each Led Zeppelin song that features keyboards, John Paul Jones plays the bass with foot pedals while playing the keyboards with his hands.
The song is about a trip Plant and Page took to the Middle East and they were driving for miles on a road with a sandy and desolate landscape but, it was so awe inspiring to them they wrote the song. They were not in Kashmir but, liked the sound of the name for the song. Led Zeppelin does a lot of diverse music so if you are not crazy about one you go and listen to another. It is hard to pin down. your taste to some degree so I don't think I can recommend. You just have to try the songs and see. There are a lot of videos of the Celebration Day - 2007 - concert. Zeppelin members were around 60 in this concert and yet can still run rings around any other band.
Yes to me it was the tune itself ,the music and how it made you feel or made your body want to move. Anyway half the time back in the late 60's ,70's you couldn't make out what the lyrics were. Many albums back then had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeves of the album jacket or had inserts...
I bought the video of this concert for my last birthday as a gift for myself! Every moment is epic! What I would have given to be in the O2 that night! 20k very lucky people!!
Now THIS is Led Zep! 👍👍The previous songs you reacted to were arguably among Led Zep's most commercial. I recommend listening to their Physical Graffiti or The Song Remains the Same LP's.
There's a tribute band that blows me away how good of a tribute they are to Led Zeppelin. The hook is that it's an all girl band, they go by the name of Zepparella. I love them. They are HOT.
They hadn't played together for a long time. Came together for this 1 show and showed that they were still the greatest band in the world. Kashmir is there opus.
Try "Good Times, Bad Times" and definitely "Communication Breakdown" Zep has a lot of bangers, some were inspired by the book "The Hobbit" if memory serves me correctly.
The one movie I can say is Fast Times at Ridgemont High, it's played in the car during Stacy & Ratner's date. What makes the studio version so unique is Jimmy Page played the guitar with a bow, creating a totally different sound from anything out there (the bowing is more like what the keyboard is playing). There is so much zeppelin music. You've mostly been listening to stuff off Led Zeppelin 4 (ZOSO), but this is off their 6th album Physical Grafitti.
YESSS!!! Thank YOU!!! I LuvLuvLuv "InThe Evening" & not many reactors seem to react to it i do HOPE BP will check both of these out sometime! RockON!!!
What never ceases to amaze me is that the singer plays no instruments, thier sound is from 3 guys. The drums are outstanding, the guitar is outstanding and anything else you hear is from John Paul Jones, the one man orchestra
This song is just EPIC, there's no other way to describe it! When he is singing ..."and my eyes fill with sand.... " you can just picture him standing on a desert sand dune with the wind swirling round, just awesome 😎👍
This was probably the bands favorite song. Close your eyes and imagine your crossing the desert on a camels back. Some different sounds you might try are 10 years gone by, Trampled under foot, Battle of evermore.
Clearance Clearwater Revival has a song called Fortunate Son. 😎. It'll remind you of this Led Zeppelin. Especially since you have a new son. 🐣 It's the song about him growing up in the '70s with you, the cool, Daddy. Flashback Time!!!🤯 for me... I was 6 years old and my brother was 8 years older than me. I found pot in my brother's bedroom, because I sneaked around, 😅... good brother😶🌫️. Unfortunately, I had hyperventilated turning my brother in to my freaked out mom and dad. I thought it was going to kill Mike.😂 I followed my mom and dad up to my brother's bedroom and THIS song was playing in his room for his moment of Doom. The moment he discovered a bad little brother that turned him in for something REALLY dumb. It was a few years before he trusted me again. Later of course we laughed as we smoked and our older ages together. Now we're old men. 😂 You will love "Fortunate Son". I have officially and legally not made any type of request or violated the rules of requests. ❤🥰 It just reminded me that you like CCR and Led. So cool.
These guys are older here but still sounds good and Jimmy Page is an amazing guitarist not to mention the fact that Jason is playing the drums and is the son of John Bonham and not to mention John Paul Jones on keyboards 🎹 - This is the album 💿 I was hiding from my parents in my room and playing low low low so they couldn’t hear it thru the walls. Hahaha 😂 These guys are iconic Love from Lisa a lyme warrior 🦠💚 Oh not to mention how well Robert Plant sounds so good 😊 We never knew what they said either lol 😂 We just loved the rhythm of the music and also a good suggestion is to watch Jimmy Page play guitar with a bow - Can’t remember which song 🎶 sorry 😣- getting older myself plus lyme disease 🦠 brain 🧠 or lack there of. Also I think Robert Plant liked this one himself more than stairway
Got some good information from you. How can we encourage Black Pegasus to revisit CCR and experience Fortunate Son... Without violating the request rules? I think it's meant to be especially after Led. I commented on how it was a memorable moment in '69. I'm glad my big brother was a stoner. 😅
This is a lot of people's favorite Led Zeppelin song. But they have many other great songs you haven't heard yet. Check out Since I've Been Loving You live at MSG 1973. You' ll love that one too.
This is my ALL TIME favorite song ever... I grew up listening to this music and this song is embedded in my heart. I loved this concert with Jason Bonham and enjoyed watching them perform again. I love this band so much and would have loved to see them in concert. Another favorite song ever is The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song as well as Since I've Been Loving You and also Thank You song and of course Stairway to Heaven!!! Thanks BP!!

@@tomhiggins875, I still for the life of me don't know why so many people dislike Stairway to Heaven. Most people I know say they dislike it because it is overplayed. It is overplayed because of how great it is. You don't have to put it down because you dislike it.
Please react to Led Zeppelin 'Since I've Been Loving You' live Madison Square Garden 1973, very bluesy!
U WOULD LOVE "DAZED AND CONFUSED". Did you know all 9 of Led Zeppelin's Albums hit the Billboard top 10 and 6 of them went to number 1.....it don't get no better than that !!!
No one has ever been able to duplicate Jon Bonhams playing on this one..... "Moby Dick" th-cam.com/video/IOb8otk7Y0U/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
The drums are in 4/4 while the guitar is in 3/4. 4/4 is 4 beats per bar, 4 bars to a line. 3/4 is one less beat per bar. That is why this song grooves so much. They only synch up every 12th.
Can imagine showing this to your kid and telling them that this is their grandpa. Led Zeppelin is so epic! They will live on forever.
Yes best zeppelin album ever imo 👏..(also love that the song “houses of the holy” is not on the houses of the holy album but is on physical graffiti
This my favorite Led Zepplin song ever since I was a kid. My Mom was a country lover and Dad loved all music. So I got to listen to it all 💖
I had the pleasure of seeing Robert Plant and Jimmy Page when I was younger on tour in Denver. They are amazing!
Buddy, your not trippin… You’ve just witnessed the Greatest Rock and Roll front man in rock history!!
Stairway to Heaven, not a Highway. You might wish to correct? 😁
Can’t believe that happened. Had just watched a video with Michael Landon on Johnny Carson about his cancer diagnosis. Of course it’s Stairway. Thanks for pointing it out.
My favorite Led Zep is “Since I’ve Been Loving You”
Check the studio version first.
Plant's voice has aged like fine wine
LED Zeppelin wanted to be remembered by this song instead of stairway to heaven
Robert is still a very productive & active musician. His work with Allison Krause is wonderful.
Their spiritual journey. Kashmir is the northernmost region of the Indian subcontinent.
In the 70's we had no clue what the words were. Nor did we NEED to know the words. We just listened and enjoyed!!! Love your reactions!
Yes to me it was the tune itself ,the music and how it made you feel or made your body want to move. Anyway half the time back in the late 60's ,70's you couldn't make out what the lyrics were. Many albums back then had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeves of the album jacket or had inserts...
Thank you for being "spontaneous " in your reactions. I think they're great. Congratulations on your new family member. And don't stop being "you."
I heartily concur.
There's a tribute band that blows me away how good of a tribute they are to Led Zeppelin. The hook is that it's an all girl band, they go by the name of Zepparella. I love them. They are HOT.
Battle of Evermore is an amazing song by Zeppelin. One of my favourites.
They hadn't played together for a long time. Came together for this 1 show and showed that they were still the greatest band in the world.
Kashmir is there opus.
I am 60 and this song still gives me chills. They are amazing. John Bonham's son is just as great as his dad! Love your reaction!
Try "Good Times, Bad Times" and definitely "Communication Breakdown" Zep has a lot of bangers, some were inspired by the book "The Hobbit" if memory serves me correctly.
That's Jason Bonham, John Bonham's son on the drums killing it. John Bonham original drummer.
You really really need to react to Since I’ve Been Loving You, live, back in the 70’s. You will be amazed
This performance was December 2007.
In The Evening & All of My Love (ballad) from Led Zeppelin's "In Through The Out Door" album are killer songs.
This is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 May I suggest Dazed and Confused next? Also 🔥
Check out Robert Plant solo after Zeppelin - Tall Cool One - 29 Palms - Big Log - Heaven Knows - Ship of Fools - Sea of Love
Hats off to Jason..Dad would so proud ❤ Stairway to heaven live is a banger. Peace out ✌️ ☮️
This was probably the bands favorite song. Close your eyes and imagine your crossing the desert on a camels back. Some different sounds you might try are 10 years gone by, Trampled under foot, Battle of evermore.
This song is so popular its been used in a lot of things like movies and commercials👍👍
Diddy - Godzilla
@mike what does diddy have to do with it?? Just curious👍👍
@@timlloyd1454the song is called Come With Me. That explains everything.👌
Puff Daddy used it in Come With Me on the Godzilla soundtrack
@mike thanks i didn't know that as im not a big fan of him😊😊👍👍
Clearance Clearwater Revival has a song called Fortunate Son. 😎. It'll remind you of this Led Zeppelin. Especially since you have a new son. 🐣
It's the song about him growing up in the '70s with you, the cool, Daddy.
I thought it was going to kill Mike.😂
I followed my mom and dad up to my brother's bedroom and THIS song was playing in his room for his moment of Doom. The moment he discovered a bad little brother that turned him in for something REALLY dumb. It was a few years before he trusted me again. Later of course we laughed as we smoked and our older ages together. Now we're old men. 😂
You will love "Fortunate Son". I have officially and legally not made any type of request or violated the rules of requests. ❤🥰 It just reminded me that you like CCR and Led. So cool.
This is Led Zeppelins best song imo. Loved Kashmir many years ago and still my favorite. ❤
I am loving you all get to enjoy the genius of LZ growing up and still the greatest Rock band ever !
For an Island Regee feel Led Zeppelin check out - D'yer Maker!!
This is the kind of music my parents raised me on! 😊 Hope u are having a good day, my friend! ❤
Got some good information from you. How can we encourage Black Pegasus to revisit CCR and experience Fortunate Son...
Without violating the request rules? I think it's meant to be especially after Led. I commented on how it was a memorable moment in '69. I'm glad my big brother was a stoner. 😅
This song is as good as it gets. Robert Plant just owns the stage. Amazing performance. I get emotional listening to this performance.
Thanks BP!!
No other band comes close. ❤😊
This song takes my breath away every time I hear it.
As you were listing off the lead Zeppelin songs you have already listened to, you didn't mention "Stairway to heaven", if you haven't heard it your in for a treat my friend.
That was one of his first zep reactions. Look for it. It was an awesome reaction too!
This and the Immigrant Song are my favorite Zeppelin songs. Thank you
Legend has it that Led Zeppelin are the first heavy medal band
Heavy rock, not metal
Led Zep is not a metal band...heavy rock is what they were termed from beginning.
Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are my all time favorite bands. This and When the Levee Breaks tie for my favorite Zeppelin songs!
When ya got it , you got it, and these old rockers still have it - in spades
