My best card since I started collecting again (april2023) stopped in 2000 lost everything in s fire in Dec man including the 2 ,1:,4800 Jordan SkyView I pulled when I was 10 outta ,$.99 pacls on the same week? Was in Beckett for it in s little article one pack had Jordan and Glenn Robinson then literally a week later pulled another Jordan
The best pull I ever got from retail was a Reggie Bush Topps Draft Picks and Prospects auto numbered 5/50 back when he still sold for a lot. Best part? It came out of a repack. I recorded when it happened, but I have long since lost the camera it was recorded with.
That Bird is a monster hit. I know everyone is gung ho on rookie this and RPA that, but I find a lot more enjoyment in a monster auto of a legend like Bird than I would a rookie that could turn out to be nothing in a few years. Maybe I'm weird.
I’d rather take a Steve Young card over a CJ Stroud 🤷🏻♂️ Take money out of the equation, and it’s a hobby. I like to collect players I like, not the folks I think will turn a buck.
I miss the days when blasters used to be around $15. They have all but priced fans out of the hobby, which is a shame since my kids really want to get into it, but the price tag is too high. Select is the only retail product I would even consider buying from Panini. Congrats on the Larry Legend auto!
What a hit in a blaster, Select is basically the only retail worth anything from Panini now for both Football and Basketball. Last year I hit a Ja’maar Chase Auto /10 which was awesome.

I jumped into the retail cards about 6-8 weeks ago. Mostly Baseball, lot of basketball, and some football. I pulled a Gold Aaron Nola Patch card in a box of Heritage High Numbers the other day. That's the only hit I have had after spending a cpl hundred a week for 6-8 weeks in a row. Although the first few weeks were lots of bad buying decisions as I tried to figure things out. I really really wish I would have seen this video a couple of months ago LOL
Best retail pull I can remember was a Bryce Young 1st Bowman auto true green /99 from a 21-22 Bowman university blaster. I also pulled a Mac Jones downtown from a 2021 donruss blasters which I sold for $2k (thankfully lol)
I've done 2 megas. The last box was all all stars. Bron, Luka, Stephen and more in silver premiere and cracked ice. Cool, but I'm looking for Courtside and rookie silver. I did get the blue prizm Chet in the first box. Just started with basketball because I do football mostly and some baseball.
The point about them going back to 20 a blaster is dead nuts. The collectors who aren't sucked into ripping, aren't going to over pay for this stuff as single either. This is why vintage has become popular again, there is value in a HOF or vintage rookie cards, but modern rookie cards are really the only chase on a retail level.
That was a sic Larry Bird for retail. I think you should do a video where you show some of your pride and joy cards of your collection. Love watching your videos. Keep up the great content.
I’ve had quite a bit of big hits in retail in the past. The one that always sticks to me came from a lonely Donruss pack at a Walmart. I pulled a Juan Soto “harder to hit than a case hit” insert. But the one card I hit in a retail box that probably surpasses that is also a Larry Bird auto but from Prizm retail.
In a room called retail breaks, during football season, i watched a Select Joe Burrow auto Rookie/25 (it was either 25 or 10, i can't remember). Pulled by Kris Leroy.
This is random, but I like how you open blasters pack by pack vs some people making a big stack and then flipping through it. As a collector something about this is more pleasing to me haha, maybe it’s just bc it’s the way I do it, but keep it up!
