I started off only buying retail in my recent return to the hobby n a few yrs ago it wasn’t too bad but you r correct it has sucked out loud recently I don’t have huge $$ to spend on cards so I’ve found much more value in just buying single packs from hobby or FOTL from my local, it’s a shame cause retail so easy to come by but it never fails to disappoint greatly!! I appreciate how you keep it brutality honest when it comes to your take on retail. Unfortunately for myself I could only afford retail product. I still have fun ripping some of these blaster boxes. As far as my luck goes... I've pulled some nice cards from Prestige Football, Skybox Metal Universe, Prizm FIFA World Cup, and Illusion Basketball. Anyhow, keep it up man! As a fairly new collector this is EXACTLY what I've been needing, pound it 🤜🏼🤛🏼 As for my best pull from retail, I purchased a box of 2022 Topps Heritage Baseball (my only box) and pulled a Wander Franco RC Blue Sparkle Parallel and immediately sold it on eBay for over $200.

love these vids! as an 18 year old who’s broke, retail is almost exclusively what i open, so it’s nice to see my favorite creator open some and be candid with it. my best pull is by far the Case Hit Tom Brady Stormchasers i pulled out of a mosaic cello last year. absolutely awesome pull and i’m holding it until he goes to the HOF
Love the long rips, perfect to watch while sorting or ripping cards. Best retail hit I can remember hitting is an Eduardo Camavinga auto out of 2020 Merlin

Nice video. I will say that some of the Topps retail products have good value (Bowman blasters, Topps Update, etc). Topps doesn't seem to limit contents in retail as much as Panini seems to (plus Topps includes the odds, which I appreciate).

Enjoy the retail reviews, as I have come to trust your opinion on the hobby. If a product is garbage, you'll say it. My best retail pull this year was a club level Tom Brady Zebra die-cut, from 2021 Select Football. First pack of Select I ever opened. Which of course, got me hooked, so.... Several hundred packs later, it finally dawned on me that Zebras are hard to hit. Have never pulled a second one. Very much enjoy your breaks, Merry Christmas to you and your family!

In terms of the best pull from retail, it is nothing major like what I have seen from other comments, but either a Justin Herbert prizm black from chronicles or a Cade 75th anniversary parallel.

I like the fact that Select retail base is different from hobby base. It keeps the hobby base value decent. Maybe they could switch the color, but most are used for parallels. 🤣

Ripped MTG to satiate the urge while not partaking in retail so best hit in that was in a reward pack at local lcs for Friday Night Magic.. Hit a Narset, Parter of Veils Japanese Alt Art Foil that was going for $400 at time. So still quite quaint next to a Zion 1/1 RC but that makes me happy for ya & it bringing ya to doing RGL breaks like it was meant to be. Also congrats on the new Zion 1/1 for your PC that is HUGE!!! I gotta get better at trading up or trading in to grab the stuff I say i can't afford bc then I'm sure I could lol, thanks for all the entertainment & the inspiration. I’ve hit 5 autos in 6 blaster boxes on chronicles draft picks. Whitehead from Duke, Jovic and Dieng, and then a couple guys either in d league or overseas. I enjoy those blasters as I have been collecting Jaden Ivey in his Purdue uni.
Was intresting on difference from retail on hobby. Love doing the blaster due to money but I thought it was way more. Maybe look into some hobby for lower end brands. Thanks for the content

I did pretty good with retail Topps Olympics years back. Think it was 2014ish. Since then haven't opened a ton of retail and what I have opened have been dusty.
My best retail pull was out of a mega box of optics football, or was it prizm 2021? Well either one I bought it from target online and pulled a red checkerboard waddle Rc and sold it on offer up raw for $400 a month later.
My best retail pull was very recent. One 2022 Topps Chrome Update Mega Box fromTarget had two awesome hits in it. A Torkelson Rookie Debut Xfractor /99 and a Juan Soto Generation Now Autograph /25.

My best retail pull was out of a mega box of optics football, or was it prizm 2021? Well either one I bought it from target online and pulled a red checkerboard waddle Rc and sold it on offer up raw for $400 a month later.
My best retail pull was very recent. One 2022 Topps Chrome Update Mega Box fromTarget had two awesome hits in it. A Torkelson Rookie Debut Xfractor /99 and a Juan Soto Generation Now Autograph /25.
