  • In the eyes of most people, rationality and emotion are equally important. However, in reality, emotions often run deeper than reason. The need for rationality is usually driven by external forces, whereas emotions stem from the innermost thoughts and true desires of the heart. Therefore, emotions hold greater value than rationality. Emotion encompasses reason and is the sublimation of rationality. I am a grade eleven student from Nanjing Foreign Language School Xianlin Campus. I used to be anxious when making speech in front of audience, but I want to make some challenges to share myself bravely. I once participated in English debate and am willing to take part in such English speaking activities. I am also looking for a chance to share my own opinions with others. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
