Wooden Bike Build - Part Three

- This is the third and final part of my wooden bike build. In this video I glued in the bottom bracket tube, then my brother helped weld up a quick jig from scrap metal to make sure the headtube sat in the slightly oversized hole (to allow for epoxy) at the correct angles while the epoxy cured. I finished shaping the frame, gave it a coat of epoxy and a few coats of polyurethane. Then after assembling all of the parts I took it for a quick spin down the road.
All in all I'm really happy with the bike! I also made a simple wooden handlebar out of some Ash which I might upload a video of me making in the future.
The final weight of the frame was 3.3kg

Genius from start to finish; who could criticize any part of the build? 10:07 begs for a badge to be placed there (custom badge would be excellent) whilst (already stated) a Brooks saddle would absolutely finish off the rear; not a criticism, but from my years of experience some things that a keen cyclist would smile at when seeing them in place. What a great, great job ... well done you.

This is absolutely beautiful. Excellent craftsmanship. I watched all 3 videos and could watch more.
I think you need to add a custom head badge. I think its the signature to any frame. idk if you have a logo or anything but it would be cool to bend some thin wood to the curve of the head tube. Do some woodburning or small carving and attach it to the front.
When you were hand planing the wood, I thought it would be cool to use the wood shavings to wrap around for bars for grips. Could use CA glue to wrap the ribbon shavings.
Just some thoughts I had while watching. Thank you for sharing! This is an extremely amazing build.

The end product is just amazing! The job, skills, frame, jigs, videomaking, brother, his welding, pre-work preparation grade, concept, design, tools, accuracy, double checks, gluing, lacquering - even the resin colour selection - everything is just fucking wow: outstanding job you did; can't say more or differently as there is no right, true words out there created for the thoughtfulness grade (I suppose you might not think so, yet you definitely should, believe me.)
