Operation Ivy was an American punk rock band from Berkeley, California, formed in May 1987. The band was stylistically important, as one of the first bands to mix the elements of hardcore punk and ska into a new amalgam called ska punk.

Not sure how you came up with this assessment of Op Ivy but, your dates are completely incorrect.
Other than that, I do enjoy watching your videos.
Meh, I don't care for the spiderverse alternate timeline spitballing.
I want more modern hardcore band analysis like you did several months ago. We are also in an actual hardcore revival period, a lot of movers and shakers going on.
I won't list them, cause I presume you, Dan Frampt0n would be knowledgeable enough to do so.
Still like the video and smacked the like button. But please ditch this alternate universe timeline format, it's lame.
Operation Ivy was so good that can never be duplicated and perfect that they stopped when they did. I have met three out of the four members of Operation Ivy and Tim is a sweetheart Matt is a little reclusive and not as approachable, but still nice by Jessie. Michaels is an absolute saint and true to his values and has corresponded with me for over 15 years almost like a sponsor, I was having a hard time in my life and he listen to my story and gave me words of encouragement. He didn’t have to do anything but he did add that is the coolest thing that has happened. I bought some art from him to give to my wife for her birthday this year and it didn’t get here on time and he shipped me an extra poetry book and two signed prints to make up for the delay, which was totally rad. I have a piece of Operation Ivy on my wall and the extra print I am gifting to raffle to help the homeless community in the Portland, Oregon area. And that is the type of person that Jesse is and inspires me to want to do something great and help out my area. I wish Operation Ivy would tour. I wish I could see them. I wish that they would make music but I understand why they don’t. It’s hard to duplicate the greatest album ever made in my opinion.

Operation ivy is awesome and Jesse Michaels is one of my favorite singers ever. I really like the fact he only comes around every 10 years with something new. It makes you miss him more so everything he puts out is really enjoyable.
The best thing that Op Ivy ever did was to split.
They were HUGE in the bay area and broke up BEFORE the album release.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks. This is my fav so far! Do more alternate universe stuff! What if blink never ditched Scott and signed to Epitaph instead of MCA?

A.) would Tim Armstrong have done a better job than Billy Armstrong in selling out to a media company that destroyed their hometown scene and bankrupted Lookout! Records?
B.)would Tim Armstrong look better than Billy Armstrong does in his swimming pool filled with diamonds and gold?

I'm so glad we have the timeline we have now, Also, would Blink even have been a thing if Green Day fizzled out at Gilman? Doubtful. Absolutely fun theory though.
