I was at the concert..It was one of the coolest events I've ever been too...It was the 4th Of July..There was a friggn monsoon for almost the whole concert..Good thing it was a summr storm..Othrwise it wouldv been darn cold n damp there, to say the least..I felt like Mark Wahlberg & Geo Clooney in "The Perfect Storm"..But it was stil so much fun..& best of all..It was a free concert..

These guys are Terrific live! I won tickets a couple years ago through SiriusXM, to see The Goo Goo Dolls perform an intimate concert at Chicago’s “City Winery”! We had the first table behind the Press! The band was so Excellent and energetic, and the sound was Perfect! There’s something to be said of small stages!
This song takes me back to sitting on a beach in Thailand when I was travelling with friends. Goo Goo Dolls on repeat, drinking ice cold beer, deciding where we were going to party that night. Man, time goes so fast!
For anyone who is too young to have had a mixtape or CD made for them, having that set of songs in a format you hold - where there’s room for the person to have written a note and included the date - reinforces the link in your heart and mind between you and the person who took the time to make the mix. I wish I held onto the mixes made for me rather than try to calm someone who came along after. Sometimes I hear a song and immediately remember that it was included in one of those mixes. Make good choices, don’t appease someone who is insecure or controlling. Don’t try to erase your past for their benefit. A time will come when the loss of the gift gnaws at you. It gnaws at me from time to time. The physical gift is long gone but, my now is and my future will be served by an unexpected flash of a memory of songs, notes, lyrics, the connection of a younger me to someone who didn’t ask or want me to change, who believed I deserved more.

I used to take my kid to swim and team practice in the morning and thus song and rhe gin blossoms would play every morning. 2 bands that are up there with the classic 70s bands. I'm a child of the 70s best decade of music.

Incredible talent. They can sing, play instruments, & have well written songs that speak to the heart. I would love to see them again some day.
