As the original owner to my 98 Centauro, a couple of things don't add up in the sequence of setting the TPS. First, why set the TPS to 150mv and after connecting the linkage between throttle bodies, reset the TPS to 378mv?? Seems counter to the first step?? Second, when opening the air bleed screws after balancing the throttle bodies, you mention opening them to set the idle balance on the throttle body with the highest vacuum? What about the other side? I do not have an O2 sniffer so I did the tune by ear as you did and it worked out fine. A good video otherwise, I hope these comments make sense. Appreciate it.
There were only cosmetic differences. Factory production ran from 1997 - 2000. But it wasn't uncommon to find Centauros being sold new a few years later.
I’ve not had a Centauro, but changing the oils on a Guzzi is straightforward. You don’t need to pay someone to do it. Just generally they’re lovely bikes for even a nervous home mechanic to work on.
Agreed ! Very labor-intensive, if done methodically "by the book," as this Master Mechanic has done. Exotic bike, $100 per hour shop time (?) + parts = KA-CHING !!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, sadly I don't like the looks of the Centuro. It's an interesting bike though and with better styling would have been the bike I was hoping M-G would produce.
One of the best service maintainence video i've ever watched, wish all services give this much attention for the bikes
What a fantastic indepth video. A must watch for all centauro owners.
Just bought a Sport 1100 and it shares a fair bit with the Centauri, so found this very helpful.
What a lovely exhaust note
Great! exactly what I was llooking for, a complete step by step coverage of how to service a moto guzzi
Thanks for the beautiful video, from Roma🇮🇹
Perfect - I’ve had 2 Centauro’s. Have the video - extremely helpful 👍😄
Only the Italians can build beautiful brutes like this, perfection!!
Thanks so much for the amazing video&review Man! 🇮🇹🏍👍
OMG, this is a lovely video! So cool. :)
Thank you so much for this video! It's excellent and a real treasure.
Your welcome!

maximum precision! love Guzzi.
Muy buen video 👌
Yep.... nailed it. Cheers.
great info, thanks
Another regret. I had the British Racing Green version of this bike, with the bikini/cockpit fairing. Fantastic motorcycle.
My only feedback is my 98 Centauro does NOT have an idle stop adjustment on the right TPS side throttle body. Idle adjust is only on the left side!!
That engine is pure pornography, would love to swap that in my v11
Any videos for changing the cambelts?
No sorry. If you do change the belts just be aware that there may be no timing marks on the pulleys so mark TDC before removal.
Is 2003 model Centauro identical to 1996 model or is the servicing procedure different?
There were only cosmetic differences. Factory production ran from 1997 - 2000. But it wasn't uncommon to find Centauros being sold new a few years later.
@@MikesMachines TY for the explanation. The seller said his was a 2003 and then I found out the same thing you stated so I was a bit confused.
How about one on changing the timing belts?
Very professional. those car stands are supporting the bike from the exaust pipes ?
They were under the lower bolt that holds the alloy side plates from memory.
Beautiful... 👍👍👍 Perfect.
P.S. How much service like this would cost in UK today in 2018?
And in USA 2019, please...
Guzzi rule
Looks very expensive to have service done on this motorcycle 😁

That's what the 1100 Sport was for..............😎
