@@jortepap , thanks! But still not my cup of tea. 😀 My TOP 5 would be V8 (cross-plane), Inline 5, V6, V10 and Boxer-6 (which sounds very much like Inline 3). Inline 6 has that high pitch sound I don`t like much. The same goes for the V12.
Of the original naturally aspirated variants I'd say the BMW six. But when it comes to the modern turbocharged engines I'd probably go for the Audi over the M3/M4 in terms of soundtrack.
actually what makes it sounds too raspy because of the headers, if you change it to aftermarket it's going to sound really good like a v12 I'm telling you.
I can't choose between them, I5 and I6 are my favorite engine types by exhaust note, I've owned cars with either...and enjoy both. My current daily is an I6 tho.
This isn’t even close the best sounding i6 is Arguably the rb26dett and even then the i5 sounds out of this world good like with the same mods the i5 might sound a little bit better 🤷🏼? Like itz personal preference personally I love both i5s and the rb26dett 😌

I prefer the 3.2 in the e36 m3 Evo but an e46 m3 with custom headers sounds amazing. The stock ones make it sound too raspy.

I think that's mostly because of the type of exhaust system and the firing order of the cylinders. That can make a huge difference in sound.
